Razz was leaving the Silph Co Gym having completed a training session. Once more he was trying to deal with his abilities and everything was still difficult. He was covered with some scorches due to the way his abilities worked. Though he still found that he was very much limiting himself due to his pyrophobia. The young ranger wasn't paying too much attention to his surroundings as he walked staring at his hands with Salem on his shoulder.[break][break]

He was closing and opening them as if he still couldn't process everything he could do. Though because he wasn't paying attention he didn't seem to be hearing Salem's calls. To deep in his own problems. If it weren't for Salem's PSYCHIC grabing him, Razz would've found himself bumping into one Stormy Silph. [break][break]

Teeth grind together for just a moment as she rises from a stretch. She'd more recently taken up the craft of yoga and found that folding herself with the intent to find self-healing and peace was actually really therapeutic and helpful. But somewhere along the line, she'd pulled something a little farther than she would have liked when she'd been training off of the yoga mat. So now, the stretching was an attempt to de-tangle whatever muscle she'd plucked.[break][break]

But just as she's pulling her head out from between her legs, she gasps and leans back, making an effort to crack her neck. Not ideal, but you know, that instant release is nice sometimes. As she does so, her attention seems to drift, as if caught by a magnet. Though there isn't exactly a crowd of people leaving the Silph Co. training area, it is him that she finds herself gravitating to immediately. [break][break]

His face, crystal clear amongst whatever nameless individuals might be nearby. Or maybe there was no one at all and she was making this poetic for no reason.[break][break]

Regardless, Stormy rises to her feet abruptly to flag him down. Except, that flagging down is actually him not seeing her at all and very nearly bumping into her. She laughs, a sound that comes right from her toes, and grins at the young man. The woman winks at Salem playfully before bringing her bright-eyed attention up to Razz.[break][break]

"Hey, man! No stress, no stress- but is everything alright? I was trying to flag you down earlier but you seemed to be stuck in your head."[break][break]

Warmth emanates from her, and she can't help but feel a subtle sense of security or friendship with him.[break][break]

Salem gives Stormy a cheeky smile at her wink, only then does he let his trainer go again when he finally realizes he's out of his head. "Uhh yeah sorry, training has been rough to say the least," honestly it felt like more of an understatement but that was far from the point. [break][break]

Though with her close and him finally out of his own head Razz can feel a warmth coming from the elite four member, an inner fire that he could almost feel entangling with his own when Stormy came up to him. If it weren't for his problems he might have found it almost comforting, let that flame inside be free but sadly things are never that simple. What should be a flame inside flowing freely he keeps his hidden inside a tight lantern with only just enough air to keep it lit because he is too afraid of what would happen if he lets loose. [break][break]

This fire serves as a reminder though of just who she is: The Moltres avatar. If anyone would know how to teach him to control his fire properly it should be her right? "Uhh actually I have a question if you don't mind..." he's nervous and he can feel it. [break][break]

Its a simple question though, come on...

She shrugs, not really that invested in figuring that out- and frankly, having a training program out here didn't hurt at all. But what she wasn't picking up on was the fact that Razz hadn't meant that at all. It didn't occur to her that he was here working with Fernando. The man never told her anything.[break][break]

"Sure, Razz! Ask away, I'm an open book."[break][break]

She smiles, inclining her head. Her intent is to seem encouraging and inviting- but she definitely comes across as intense and over-eager. The truth was: she had always had a soft spot for the young man and it was out of character for him to approach her about literally anything.[break][break]

Its only has he sees her that he remembers that Stormy is also a Ranger, an Elite one at that which slightly makes him question FERNANDO SILPH's decision for picking him when a sister with poor experience than him. Though he decided in the end it was not his place to question it. [break][break]

"Right... open book," that was probably the worst words to say to him for what he wanted to ask the other fire avatar. He wanted his kept secret, yet like her brother she was just as open about her avatarship as him. "Umm..." he started to second guess asking but he can't just go back now right? "Oh--" there is a moment of error written across her face. Perhaps a peek into the window of a bruised ego as her brows come together and she glances away. Thoughts of her last conversation with Fernando bubble up to to the surface again, a reminder of her aggravated attempt to tell Fernando how she felt.[break][break]

She wanted to be his first- but here she was meeting someone else the man had chosen instead of her.[break][break]

But the strangled emotion is fleeting as she comes back to Razz's pinched expression. Her eyes widen in surprise but she waits patiently for him to continue his thought. His stumbling and stuttering was unusual, she felt, given how carefree and relaxed he'd been during their last mission, and how assertive he'd been in the cave with the Buzzswole.[break][break]

"Make-up? Uhh.. a little bit, sure. Are you asking me for make-up tips?"[break][break]

Razz can't help but tilt his head at Stormy at her comment as she looked away. Had he said something wrong? Does she not know of the rangers her brother hires? Which would be a little odd considering she was one, better than he was. "You okay?" [break][break]

He tenses up a bit when asked about the make-up thing. And part of him was unsure if he should go on with that. Because no that isn't what he wanted to ask her, but honestly it has been something he's been interested in looking into for quite sometime. Though maybe through asking her about one thing he could slowly ask her about the other? "Uhhh yeah make-up... sorry is that sexist for me to ask? I just know as rangers at times we deal with poachers and black markets and such, and if I want to sneak in it would be better if I didn't have to wear this," he tugs at his bandana a bit hoping she would understand that at least.

More likely, she should know, and simply chose not to pay attention. At any sign of her ego being bruised, she actively avoided it.[break][break]

She smiles brightly, any doubt or unease evaporating in favor of warmth.[break][break]

Stormy studies him in return, curiosity and a little bit of confusion seeping through her expression. Why was he tense all of a sudden? He was the one who had asked her, right? She wasn't being crazy, he'd definitely asked her about makeup. [break][break]

The slightly younger ranger could only shrug when it seems that she was almost as bad as him with putting a sock in her mouth. "Its fine, I know some people wear their scars proud and everything, but I also noticed that most those same people aren't disfigured by theirs[break][break]

So they don't get weird looks in public because of it," he could very much recall the looks he got when the scar was still new and he was first moving around Sootopolis without it. "But if you don't know it's fine, but what do you do? If you ever need to go under cover?"

"That's-- shit, Razz, I'm sorry. That.. that isn't really what I meant, man."[break][break]

She frowns, face warm with humiliation and guilt. The woman scuffs her foot against the ground, uncomfortable and aware of just how hot her face was becoming, but too awkward to figure out how to fix it. Fortunately, he seems to shrug it off without issue, but it doesn't leave her any more relieved.[break][break]

"I-- you don't look weird. Seriously."[break][break]

Stormy glances back up to meet his gaze.[break][break]

"No, no, I know some basic stuff if that's what you need. Just basic stuff though."[break][break]

He goes on to ask her about going undercover and Stormy chuckles awkwardly, scratching the back of her head.[break][break]

"Uhh.. I can't say I ever have. I have a pretty memorable face, apparently, so I've never really put much effort in to try to disguise myself. Never really been comfortable with 'going undercover' like that, I guess. Feels like a lie."[break][break]

Razz can't help but blink at her with the way she seemed to be over apologizing for something. Did he say something weird? He looks to Salem who is giving him a look and he's still confused. Though all he's given is a 'that's awkward' and he still doesn't get it. So he tried to repair it, "It's fine? No need to apologize for anything," not that he really understands why she's apologizing for. Was it about he scar thing? Cause it wasn't like that was her fault. [break][break]

He ponders for a moment, "How about we forget the make-up, maybe get a drink and maybe I could pick your mind about being an Elite Ranger? I'm sure I could still use improvement, but with now working out of the Silph Building rather than one of the Ranger Facilities I might be missing out." maybe pick her brain about the fire. But that's going unsaid for now.

In one breath, all of the awkwardness melts away in favor of awkwardness of a different flavor. Razz asks her to join him for a drink and she gives him a pointed, faux-flustered smirk.[break][break]

Stormy winks, clearly flattered and thoroughly amused. She's well aware that that is almost certainly not what he'd meant, but she was more than willing to let it play out that way anyway.[break][break]

She inclines her head, moving away from him to collect her purse and jacket.[break][break]

Maybe because he was tired from his previous training, but he was completely oblivious to the implications behind the whole asking out. "Ummm yeah? I mean we are going out after all?" he points toward the exit of the Silph compound as if it were obvious, clearly their meanings were different her meaning going straight over his head. With that he would start heading out as he looks up a decent place where he could probably ask, thankfully there seemed to be a smoothie place just down the street. And after the session with the Heatran something cold sounded nice. Especially with his whole lying problem. He would order a drink for himself and Salem before letting Stormy order and he would've offered to pay seeing as he asked her to come. [break][break]
