Contestants step onto the stage one by one, and after all performances end, highlights of each appear on the screens to go along with upbeat music. [break][break] “I officially dub thee’ little kitten, all grown up.” Lux Defort’s dubbing of his pokémon’s voices rings through the hall just as images of the Meowstic and Braixen being surrounded by flowers appear on the screens. “And I dub thee the best friend and teacher a kitten could ever have!”[break][break] “Even if they fight and break up… they kiss and make up!” It’s Alexei Ivanov’s Wooloo that appear next, eliciting an ‘Awww’ from the audience as they boop their heart-shaped snouts. “Even if Smokey has a harder time expressing his feelings, well, William just knows when he means it.”[break][break] "There's ultimately only one reason a lot of us even pursue love…" The image shifts to that of kyle lopez’s adorable Minun and Plusle jumping onto a small bed to rest together, accompanied by the champion’s own narration. ”It is, of course, to spend a good chunk of our lives with each other.”[break][break] Even though they already saw it before, the audience is still wowed by the sight of the evolution of Tempest Quinn’s Feebas, the Milotic wrapping itself around its small Luvdisc partner. ”When you're finding your perfect partner, they do more than just love you when you're fine. When you're at your lowest, they lift you up!"[break][break] "Remember, love must go two ways!" michiko maeda tells the audience then, just as her poor Machamp looks defeated when attempting to get his beloved Skitty out of a crane game. But, of course, Skitty helps, and soon enough, she jumps into Machamp’s arms. "It is fun like a game, but also, it is not possible without consent!"[break][break] What comes next is the fairytales of luka chêne’s Umbreon and Espeon, the Kalosian’s own voice accompanying them. ”Dreams of love are not confined to fairy tales. All it takes is trust and kindness, and a dash of romance!” Tails intertwine and nuzzles touch, the pair of Eeveelutions being as close as they come. Latte and Espresso have found their soulmates, and I know all of you will too, as long as you believe in love!"[break][break] And finally, it’s BARNABY FINCH’s Ninetales that appear on the screen then, highlights of their every performance being displayed; five rounds, a love story from beginning to happily ever after. ”Love is all-conquering.” Barnaby says. ”Love is eternal. Love is the softest kiss on the hardest day. Love weathers the battering seas. Love...... love transcends kinds.” At this closing sentiment, the audience applauds, and left behind is the image of both foxes… [break][break] ”You heard them! LOVE is the greatest thing that has ever existed and there’s no wrong answer when it comes to what it means! So many different versions of love have been shown to us tonight, and while none is lesser, only one pair can be crowned the LOVELIEST. This year, it’s SYBILLE AND BIJOU! The pair began their final dance of the evening. Finally, their love had been actualized - despite a turbulent start, despite outside terrors threatening to tear them apart. Sybille and Bijou frolicked together in melded bliss. Rose and silver fur blend together as one, fire and ice so perfectly poised against one another.
