The performances that have a comedic twist to them end up being fucking hilarious, the ones from people she considers to be attractive are wolf whistling-worthy, and the ones that are too serious and boring for her taste get booing out of her. He's off the clock, having some free time to drink and be merry on the eve of the apocalypse. One drink had turned to 3 and so on and so forth. Drunk, and warm he joined the crowd cheering and watching some contest on the sand. 

He's nodding along, about to leave until he spotted walking through and took a moment to pause and consider. He whistled for the man as he did his anime hair flip, holding up a cheap sign given to him and other audience members. 


Then, before the contestant moved away he haphazardly whistled again, still shouting as he drunkenly showed the back of the sign with his cell phone number. "Let's fuck!!!"

This is not his thing. Undoubtedly and undeniably, Tam doesn’t quite fit into the excited energy of the crowd that had gathered to watch the swimsuit contest. Since, after all, that’s exactly what he does, he watches. All while sipping a gin and tonic.

Out of the contestants, there are a few he recognizes, like @marshall, , , , , , and even who apparently was only there for a single round. But, of all of them, it’s that Tam would end up finding himself basically obligated to cheer for.

Why, you ask?

Well, for one, she is one of the rangers who work under him here in Slateport, and she’s doing well. In the crowd, Tam happens to run into other rangers, who insist that ”We have to cheer for Hailee, boss!”. She’s actually a pretty nice person. And, last but not least, he’s sure would probably give him those annoying puppy dog eyes he does when disappointed if he were to learn that Tam didn’t cheer for Hailee when he had the chance.

Everyone has done an amazing job. And their performances, lovely and creative as they are, deserve accolades! Recognition! Everybody deserves to win and it's incredibly sad that only one participant can take the crown.[break][break]

And though Luka's had a lot of fun, and though the spotlight can be intoxicating, it doesn't feel like her. All of her contest experience lies in putting her Pokemon forward, displaying their charms. To flaunt her own still feels rather disconcerting. Everyone else, in her opinion, shines much more brightly.[break][break]

She would like to think she's being humble or gracious, but at the end of the day she's just a bit scared, a bit shy. She doesn't think she deserves it.[break][break]

Luka hurries away to whisper something in an announcer's ear, a message passed along to whoever might be in charge. The gauzy fabric of her swimsuit flutters after her as she slips from the stage and into the crowd, her applause joining that of everyone else as she cheers on whoever might take home the crown.[break][break]
