With the raging success of Silver Corps' QTPI competition, the company has decided to host a second contest in the format of a Cool Contest. This competition features the hopeful rejuvenation of the New Year, paired with the determination of cracking down on resolutions made for 2023. Following the sudden shift given the Meteno Event, new pokemon have been popping up all over Hoenn. Because of this, the theme for the New Year is New Pokemon, ergo Paldean pokemon + recently caught pokemon are highly encouraged!

Make a grand display entrance -- introduce not only yourself but your pokemon as well! Feel free to throw in as much flavor with this as possible. In this post, you may make a roll that you may switch out with one of your succeeding rolls. (i.e.: if you roll a 2 in round 2, you can take the roll in round 1 and replace it with that.)

Post once per round. There is NO POSTING ORDER, ergo once the first round concludes, you may post for the second round whenever you're ready, likewise with the third round. There is a TWO DAY posting timeline to keep the competition running smoothly. If you do not meet the timeline, you will automatically be out of the running to win the competition, so keep that in mind before signing up! Time frame for posts will be specified in announcer post!

Each member can only sign up with one character, and use only one Pokemon. Movesets will be locked upon signing up. Pokemon used MUST be either PALDEAN POKEMON AND/OR KNOW A MOVE EXCLUSIVE TO GEN IX.

Sign-ups will be closed JANUARY 25TH AT 11:59 PM EST TIME, or AFTER 6 TOTAL SIGNUPS.

[attr="class","howicontst2"]Use the ROLL COMMAND for each of the 2 'appeal phases' in the competition. There will be NO REROLLING/USE OF SALAC BERRIES, but the exception is REPLACING THE FIRST ROUND ROLL WITH ONE OF THE SUCCEEDING ROUND ROLLS (i.e.: if you roll a 75 in round one, and then roll a 3 in round 2, you are welcomed to swap the rolls in round 1 & 2 respectively. Keep in mind the first round roll does not go towards appeal points unless it is swapped.) Please DO NOT REUSE THE SAME MOVE FOR BOTH PERFORMANCE POSTS, this will result in you only being able to use 1 of your rolls towards your total.

While the second round REQUIRES a 'cool' move (which can be found here), the third round allows room for a new move featured in Gen IX (i.e.: comeuppance, ice spinner, fillet away, etc.) MOVES FROM GEN IX WILL ALLOW FOR A +10 TO A BASE ROLL, BUT CANNOT BE COMBINED WITH THE ROLL IN THE FIRST ROUND IF IT IS REPLACED WITH THE THIRD ROUND ROLL. The character who rolls the highest overall score (sum of both appeal phases) will be crowned the winner.

1-10: one appeal point
11-20: two appeal points
21-30: three appeal points
31-40: four appeal points
41-50: five appeal points
51-60: six appeal points
61-70: seven appeal points
71-80: eight appeal points
81-90: nine appeal points
91-100: ten appeal points
