Chatter around the Lilycove docks was that the Ampharos of their lighthouse had grown sick, it's light waning and flicking like a candle the last few eves.

Sucked into the gossip at the fish market, Angelo finds himself later that day climbing the dusty, winding stairs of the Lilycove lighthouse.

He'd volunteered to check in about as equally as he'd been nominated. No sooner had the words left his mouth, a bag had been all but shoved into his hands filled with berries and medicine, provided by the fisherfolk community.

Their well-meaning brashness is met with an eyeroll and a smile, long used to it by now.

When he reaches the top after a long, creaking ascent, Angelo finds the Ampharos sitting in their glass room with gunk dripping from their nose and its eyes puffy.

“Lilycove sends their love,” he raises the bag of goodies at it, before taking a seat next to the droopy, dedicated lighthouse keeper.

Lilycove's Ampharos was once again sick and without a keeper to care for it.

Locke was amazed he'd even been called to help again after what happened the last time, but it seemed Moko-Moko at least had made a good enough replacement before, and the locals had promised better protection this time around. And it looked like there weren't any ruffians ready to jump him at the entrance today, so that was a pretty good sign.

Even so, the courier couldn't help being more cautious now-opting to fly up on a disguised Latias to land on the walkway wrapping around the top of the lighthouse instead of risking the more vulnerable street level.

"It looks even more miserable than before…" Locke mused as they took in the state of the Ampharos through the glass.

They paused to rifle through their bag for their own Ampharos' Pokéball, but a sudden burst of excitement surged through Latias into them as she rushed past her ward to open the door.

Angelo is carving into a Pecha berry with his knife, blade gliding smoothly through the soft flesh to dig out the stone, when a thump appears from outside. Something heavy sounding as if it had fallen on the metallic walkway, vibrating the glass walls.

While he may pause, at his side the Ampharos doesn't stir, leaning against him in a miserable, flu-like state. There's already snot on his jacket shoulder. It was like being back in Alto Mare...

“That's one big Wingull...”

Brow knitting into a frown, blue eyes drag up, half expecting to see a Pelipper taking rest.

Instead, he's met with what sight of a recognisable postman and an overly eager bird, face near squished against the windowpanes.

He nearly slices into his thumb.

“Locke?” Breaking apart the Pecha berry and passing half to the Ampharos, Angelo rises from their side to open the door. Letting in the excited not-Togekiss. “Why're you two breaking into the lighthouse?”
