It’s kind of cute watching the mechanical Magearna cradle the doll like a baby. It must have some strange connection to it. Eva doesn’t watch it for too long as the battle around them wages. Melody’s Icy Wind helps, but CIAN MAHER has the best idea, “Great idea! Go Melody, go! I’ll look for a way out!”

Because they certainly weren’t getting past the swarm of mechanical creatures any time soon.

“Just buy me some time!” Eva starts to snoop around the area of the clock tower, fingers running over the worn stone and metal. There had to be a way up so they could at least avoid the horde and fly out of here. Perhaps the top of the clocktower would give them a better view of the terrain.

Suddenly, her fingers find a divot in the stone. Beneath her sensitive touch, she swears she can feel a cool, gentle breeze, “I think I found something!” she searches frantically for edges, outlining what appears to be a tall, narrow door. The handle is some strange mechanism she’s never seen before. A puzzle? No, a strange lock.

Being the perfect specimen of morals, she’s never picked a lock before, but it couldn’t be that hard, right?

Eva gets to work, trying to use the tools she has at her disposal: an ID card and a rusted nail she found on the ground.

The only thing that could break Eva’s concentration was a star-studded performance of BULLET HELL by the one and only Melody Miro. After a sneak peek of her gym challenge, Eva reminded herself to avoid that – it looked gnarly! “Wow! Amazing, Mel!” she complimented

Needless to say, the goody-two-shoed professor trying to LOCKPICK a door was an epic fail, “I can’t get it,” she huffed. Letting go of the lock so it could clang back against the metal door in frustration.

Despite melody’ performance, the broken Magearna still seemed to be swarming them, “Fourthsies!” she popped up to agree with boruta maher and Hideo Kino. They would have to come back later to see if they could sneak their way past this swarm rather than get caught in the middle of it.

Eva traded the Machamp for her Gallade. The dual-type took a defensive stance as he prepared to teleport them back to the entrance of the Rift and back to safety.
