To try and correct whatever wrongs left her cursed by a Houndoom's flame, and fearing her own mind, she often throws herself into work to a frightening degree. But don't let his general demeanor fool you, this businessman is as cutthroat as any other and an extremely shrewd, intelligent man.

He treats his Pokemon like gold but isn't really sure where to place them on the hierarchical scale. If you want bad jokes or someone to drive you nuts, Oz is your guy. He's currently investing in a large Pokemon translation startup. He may want to reach out to some local big wigs to test it.

A lot of people hate his company, however. His father was a nasty man who cut corners whenever possible, leading to lawsuits and deaths. He was also a serial philanderer with at least two illegitimate kids on record.

Summary:
Once upon a time, Kazuya was a loudmouth, hotshot of a trainer. A guy who achieved champion rank in two regions by applying what he learned as a kindler. But this lead him to get tied in with the wrong crowd and ultimately got him framed for a terrorist attack in Johto. After his capture, he spent five years rotting in an underground League facility. Torture ended in him biting off his own tongue.

A Rocket-affiliated lawyer freed Kazuya and helped get him back on the road to a new life. Unfortunately, his companions were sold off during his captivity. His daughters gifted him an Emolga and a Wooper to start his new journey with. Not wanting to drag their mother into this, and realizing his sexual interests lay elsewhere, he bid his on-off again family goodbye. Now, he works for Rocket trying his best to get by in a world that labeled him a monster.

Summary:
Born into a religious military family in Johto, Lydia's upbringing was full of honor and rules. Unfortunately, at the age of six, she found out those ideals did not apply to her father. She found out she was the result of his tryst with a much younger woman, not her mother's flesh and blood. Her siblings reminded the girl of this on every occasion, especially her elder brother Mikhail. From a young age, this chip ingrained itself into Lydia's shoulder. Though she could not voice it, she never felt like she belonged. Why had her mother abandoned her? Had the prospect of raising her been so bad?

Her life changed at nine years old when the family's sailing trip ended in disaster. She lost an uncle and almost died herself. Her mother ended up disabled by the accident, father becoming a less honorable man. That night, however, she witnessed what she believed was Lugia as the sea's guardian saved her.

Driven to be perfect, she threw herself wholly into her school work and fencing. Graduating with honors, she sought to be closer to her family by enrolling in the navy and military. Shortly after reaching officer's status, she found herself embroiled in the tail end of the war in Kanto. She doesn't talk much about what she saw, but it did leave a mark. Shortly after her tour ended, she retired but is stil not sure what to do next. Or, well, she wasn't until a letter from her so-called mother invited her to Hoenn.

A typically stoic, icy woman, Lydia tries her best to keep her emotions in check. But beneath those muscles is a ittle girl who adored playing with dolls and collects glass-blown figures and loves saving baby turtles. These days, she's still trying to find her way in a world post-military.

Summary:
In Johto, Nikita's name was synonymous with detective. After years in the police force, he became a Sherlock Holmes of sorts. A man known for his shrewd reasoning and somewhat droll sense of humor. A beacon of justice, he did his best to distance himself from the Sokolov name as it was heavily tied to gangsters and criminals.

He was also a family man with two elder children and an unexpected toddler the same age as his grandson. Back then, he was happy. Then, Rocket happened. After a long case, wherein he saved five hostages, he found his home up in smoke. "Robin!" The man shoved firefighters aside as he searched for any signs of life. In the end, all that was left was a bedroom coated in a thin coat of ice. At its center, an Alolan Vulpix quivered from burns and exhaustion. His grandson survived. No one else. Nikita wished that line had been severed too . It would have been better in the long run. Easier.

Throwing himself into drink and drugs, the grandfather was broken. But then someone came forward offering him revenge. The bloodhound would become a hellhound. Hoenn's faithful hunter of the hidden and criminal. A killer. The first one was hard. But now? He's too blood stained to turn back.

Summary:
Biscotti is just a kid trying to balance college, a family business, and a dangerous genetic disorder. Physically unable to process pain, he's the victim of CPI and has paid the price for it. Scars ripple his body from head to toe, some worse than others. Due to this, he grew up pretty sheltered. When his dad went missing, he went to Hoenn to help his family open up a new location. But he secretly made it a one-way ticket. Truly free for the first time, Biscotti is doing his best to pursue his dreams. The problem? He doesn't really know what those are. Heck, he was supposed to be dead by now.

Scotti often gets pushed around by his Pokemon and defers to their judgment in most situations. It's kind of like still having an overprotective mon. Personality-wise, he's a good mix of gregarious and reserved. He often resorts to Spanish when nervous and has difficulties talking to pretty girls. Right now, he's thinking he wants to take up the gym circuit. Or, he uh would, if this place wasn't a literal war zone. He probably should have done some research.

You'll typically find him at his family business and scrambling to finish homework at the last minute. He likes to take trips outside the safety of the city, since it lets him experience the stuff mom never let him do.

That bitchy girl in high school grew up, turned into a MILF, and got a doctorate in biology. Calpurnia is an accomplished scientist with something rare in STEM: people skills. Believing humanity needs help to evolve, she does her best to push the limits of human evolution. This often involves adding new stressors to their environment. Formerly a head researcher at a biotech company, she was scapegoated when their Pokemon experiments were uncovered. Wanting to continue her work, Kelpie joined Rocket.

Growing up super poor with a deaf mother and trashy father, Kelpie does her best to distance herself from her past. She's taken her whole life to distance herself from her family and has no desire to stop now. Personality wise, she's cutthroat and condescending with a keen sense of people. She also flirts with everyone at any opportunity. With five kids to worry about, this woman has a full plate and little time for bullshit. Though technically still married, her hubby got sucked into an Ultra Wormhole. So, she considers them separated.

Her view on Pokemon is quite different from most people. While she claims they are disgusting, they actually terrify her. She thinks every one's acceptance of this powerful elemental beasts is insanity. The only Pokemon she trusts are childhood acquisitions. The foremost among these is her Purrugly, Purrseus. While never cruel to them in public, she has been known to discard them at the slightest hint of disapproval. That or toss them on the cutting table.
