If the balls the Cinderace and Scorbunny were kicking around weren't literally on fire, Julia would have gladly joined them for a game of soccer. Alas, the best she could do was cheer her own Pokémon on from the sidelines. Okay, technically, she was supposed to be here on Ranger business to make sure the swarm didn't set anything on fire, but what was the harm in letting her Pokémon have a little fun, too?

[break][break]Momo was serving as a goalie for a Scorbunny practicing its footwork while Pandie faced off against a Cinderace, Detecting any projectiles that came her way so she could punch them out of the air. The fur near her fists was singed, but she didn't seem bothered by it; if anything, that only made her more determined to keep at it. Julia would definitely have to check for damage after this, but for now, she'd let Pandie get her training in. She knew just how determined her Kubfu was, after all. Tula hovered at Julia's side, keeping an eye out for any Pyro Balls gone astray.

They don't even seem afraid of the heat. They welcome it. They don't care if this city burns to cinders, cause burn as it might, football will never die. [break][break]

She treads calmly into the firestorm. Flames all around, the heat is enough to suck the air from her lungs. It's bright, like staring into the sun. But beneath her feet is a shadow. A cold, pale shadow that remains cold as ice. [break][break]

"C'mon, then, take your goal," she mutters at the stray rabbit running along the road. [break][break]

Separated from its friends, it nevertheless delights in the challenge. It's a proper hooligan. A terror. It brings its leg back, and the rock at its feet glows before setting alight. [break][break]

It kicks, aims for her. The goalie. But the girl stands there, consumed in the ghastly flame at her feet. The shadows rise from the ground, a giant pale face with mouth open wide. Laughing, it swallows the ball whole before it can reach her. [break][break]

"... Huh? That it? Guess it's our turn."[break][break]

She smiles, as the ghost pokemon rising in her shadow returns that ball wreathed in shadow and nightmares. The fire pokemon never stood a chance.[break][break]

It was a bit funny, to get a Cinderace right as a swarm was occurring. But, that didn't stop El from checking out the gathering of soccer rabbits, in their hometown, and trying to see if they can help keep an eye on things, to prevent any potential chaos.

"What do you think of Lagombi, for a name?" El mused to their Cinderace, as they watched a couple of little Scorbunnies kicking a Pyro Ball between them.

Their Cinderace, in response, made a humming sound - as if contemplating the name.

"Though, if we end up befriending another Cinderace or Scorbunny, that one'll also need a name... Loporrit? Lopo?" They hummed, lost in thought... At least, until they had to - with a telepathic warning from Bibidi - duck with a yelp, as a Pyro Ball went sailing overhead!

The two Scorbunnies that had been playing seemed quite alarmed at the little accident they had. But given that no one was hurt, El couldn't help a soft chuckle from it. "Maybe we should give them some pointers..."

Ah, Cinderace. Truly, if there ever a Pokemon that symbolised the Galarian spirit, it was the burning bunny. Of all the beasts one could encounter in the wild, never were there a more unruly and competition-obsessed hooligan known to man. They probably even had a shitty rabbit queen and a shitty lupine economy and a crippling nationwide addiction to hops-based alcohol. Truly Galarian, through and through. There was a reason they were a typical choice for starter Pokemon, though your family didn't have the cash to get you a laboratory-appointed starter, so you had to settle for Toxel.

Not that you mind, mind. Watching the Scorbunny and the Raboot aimlessly kicking around rocks, you're getting the vibe they don't make good company. Yeah, you enjoy Mundial Raihandino Soccer 64 as much as the next guy, but not much more. You couldn't even imagine having to play with it all day, every day...

Hm. You've almost caught yourself out of trying to catch one.

Key word being, "almost".
