Coming through the walkways to move towards her next match as Yuina walked with Daikenki beside her, she was beaming as she caught a glimpse of flowing pink hair.[break][break]
"Desiree?? Desiree! Are you in the tournament too? I think we're matched up this round," Yuina smiled, she was ecstatic, she was seeing so many of her friends within the tournament ranks and to know that they could have a fun time together, just like over the summer when they were bumping rumps for the booty bump tournament, this was surely going to be just as fun to do together!

Delight was brought upon tenfold when she spotted Yuina, bringing her to jump up from the portable stool she set up on her side of the arena before her bestie's arrival. "OMG, yes~! ♡ I swear, the people organizing these matches must have something up their sleeve with the number of beautiful, familiar souls I've come to battle since I've arrived," she giggled in excitement, running to her friend to give her yet another tackle in the form of a tight hug, ".. it's been so incroyable, a blessing within those crazy storms ♡."[break][break]

The feeling of being ecstatic was reciprocated, of course. Taking back to the edge of the arena that had been designated for the rose songstress, she hummed in delight as she released her beloved Hatterene. Each battle that it had been blessed to participate in brought more of a competitive edge in its fairy soul; the silent pokemon basked in the cheers of the spectators as it did satiating its urge to fight, quite the hardcore gal. Pointing at Daikenki with its hat arm, it bore its teeth with a sinister smile in an attempt to bring upon its signature intimidation before the fight was to ensue.[break][break]

"No matter how big of a spot you've got in my heart, you better give it all you got~! ♡ Gloss refuses to be taken on easily," Desiree smiled, tossing her pink tera orb up and down, ".. just like the booty bump contest, okay? ♡"

Desiree's energy was contagious as ever when the pinkette spotted Yuina, and Yuina did well to catch Desiree in her chosen form of affection. A full on tackle of an embrace. Yuina smiled and they twirled for a moment in the force of Desiree's tackle, Yuina giggling the whole time.[break]
"Organizers nothing, we're just meant to always find each other Desiree, we always have. And I'm so excited that we get to have fun today," Yuina smiled, that's just how it always seemed, good or bad Yuina and Desiree always managed to find each other and make sure that they were together if they could be. And it filled Yuina's heart with so much comfort.[break][break]
It was time to begin, and Desiree took her side of the field, and Yuina wouldn't expect anything less of her dear friend. As much as Desiree was an angel on earth, she had the tenacity of a warrior.[break]
"Just like the boot bump contest, you got it," Yuina smiled as she sent Daikenki forward, tapping her own Tera orb as the Samurott glittered in shimmering blue crystal to take on his Water Tera. Getting in to range, he lunged to meet the Hatterene with a Razor Shell to start things off.

To think that they were always meant to find one another was something that brought a tear of joy to cascade down her tattooed cheek; it was one of the facts she believed above all else, the aspects she whispered to herself all those hard nights when she tucked herself into bed. Friendships like the one that Desiree had with Yuina above all else kept her heart full when it felt empty, solace in the fray of thunderstorms.[break][break]

She was ecstatic to see her friend battle against her whimsical, psychedelic tactics- they had never had the need nor a reason to spar against one another through traditional battling tactics until now. It was exciting, a similar feeling to getting ready to face all those who challenged her gym. Only now, she had metaphorical badges to gain rather than hand out.[break][break]

"Heh ♡," she smiled, holding her tera orb out for all the world to see its shine, ".. it's only fair for our battle to be the sparkliest of them all, no?" Taking on a brilliant crown of magenta spectral energies, skin becoming imbued with GHOSTLY CRYSTALLINE ENERGIES, the lunge of the razor shell brought it to squeal. It was unable to dodge in time. Having taken the hit on upon its hat, Gloss silently giggled and seethed in synch as it attempted to take revenge with a bright, brilliant DAZZLING GLEAM.[break][break]

True to form, as the two Pokemon clashed, there was a shower of sparkling crystalline energy, brilliant shades of blue and purple melding together as the energy dispersed. Des's Pokemon had taken on a tera form just as Daikenki did, and it was sure to be a spectacular battle. Desiree was as powerful as she was angelic, Yuina would never doubt that for a second.[break][break]
"You bring beauty where ever you go Des, I couldn't expect anything less," Yuina smiled, watching as the brilliant Dazzling gleam struck along Daikenki's frame as the Samurott tried to rush through the ranged attack. He slashed at it with his blades, taking some of the damage on, but closed the gap again as he moved to strike with Ceaseless Edge.

"Aw, Yuina~! ♡ You're going to make me cry," Desiree exclaimed with a smile, clasping her hands together with all the joy in the world, ".. you best believe that's all you, though~!" Had there not been a dazzling battle of crystalline clashes and determined souls taking on one another in front of her, she would have booked it to the other side to give her best friend another one of her signature tackle hugs. It was everything she deserved for being so full of kindness and heart![break][break]

Though the Hatterene could feel the whimsical energies of closeness that brought both Yuina and Desiree's hearts to intertwine in the name of friendship, its competitive, cruel nature refused to tuck itself behind its sharp fangs. Eyes glossed over due to the previous casting of the dazzling glimmer, its fairy-like fantasies it envisioned within the brightness were cut short by the slicing of the Samurott's CEASELESS EDGE, catching some of its hat. A discordant melody followed the tumbling of her body through the air, balancing within a psychic levitation; the ghastly crown caused the attack to hurt more.[break][break]

Wisps of violet danced around Gloss as it floated just barely above the ground, summoning geode-like SHADOW BALLS to attempt retaliation.[break][break]

Blow for blow, blades against magic, the Hatterene was a foe to be reckoned with as it took each of Daikenki's hits in stride. Yuina was thankful that she could always be on the right side of Desiree's prowess, facing the pinkette, knowing she was leading a gym of her very own, Yuina would hate to think her an adversary, a foe.[break][break]
The onslaught of shadow balls struck true, the glimmering purple energy that enveloped Gloss maximizing the damage of the powerful attack, and Daikenki huffed through his fangs.[break]
"We have to get back into close range! Daikenki, kage," Yuina called, a short command in the dead language she shared with her closest partner. The Samurott barked before leaping into the shadows beneath him, using Shadow Sneak, and from the depths around Gloss' figure he was able to emerge, lunging furiously with blades drawn for a Razor Shell swipe.

Within the clash of the blades and the competitive manipulation of magic, the Hatterene was having just as much fun as she was ruthlessly trying to keep her edge- it was a battle without anything held back, something she enjoyed more than ever. Indulging in fluttering psychic and fairy energies was her skill, but taking on exclusively strong opponents was her forte. Sure, she was willing to take on anyone she was set to in the competition, but those with skills that matched what the fairy considered 'her level' were extra appealing. It was one of the many factors that led Desiree to bring Gloss with her into this special tournament, alongside a wish to let her get all the fury out that she held back on her peer blossoms.[break][break]

An eyebrow raised as Yuina commanded Daikenki with a word she could not understand. However, she quickly dismissed it as a familiar eccentric order like the ones she typically used.. though much more cryptic. Initially caught off guard by the shadow sneak of the Samurott, Gloss looked around with widened pupils, anticipating an attack. Yet, it could not catch on fast enough, falling victim to a rather intense swipe of sharpened shells.[break][break]

Silent screams fluttered out of her lips, those which led the fairy to quickly float backward to provide more range. Waving its hand-like appendage connected to its hat around its body as it levitated, it soon attempted to release a PSYCHIC wave of rose and violet toward its opponent.

In one final attack, the Hatterene was able to grab a hold of Daikenki in a psychic grasp that was no long inhibited by his dark typing in his tera state. It proved difficult, trying to get at an opponent who could stay at range and stay away from the physicality of a battle at its core, and wave its hands to make an attack. Daikenki had to be up close in strike range at all times, perhaps Yuina needed to reconsider their purely melee tactics together...[break][break]
The battle was called as Daikenki was thrust into the ground by the hold that Gloss had on him, and there was nothing more to do than beam at Desiree in all of her success.[break]
"No wonder you're a gym leader now Des, I'm glad that we'll always be on the same side together. You're a devastating adversary to have working against you," Yuina congratulated, talking up Desiree in the most sincere way. Her dear friend was a formidable force, and Yuina wanted her to know that implicitly without question.
