The pit-pattering of the rain, like footsteps all around them, almost makes it seem like the ruins of the SEA MAUVILLE are bustling with traffic. But there's no one else here besides Remiel Calcifet and his cousin Elise Calcifet this evening. Unless one counted the various wild Pokémon that slinked, swam, and glided about.[break][break]

The former of the two Calcifet's traveled with a SINISTCHA hovering above his shoulder. It seemed annoyed by the rain and practically hissed whenever it saw another Ghost-type Pokémon nearby. Each time Remiel cast him a sharp look, however, CHATAROU would quickly right himself.[break][break]

"We're here to find a locker belonging to one of SEA MAUVILLE's former employees: one DAVID BURKE. I have reason to believe he may have documented an encounter with KYOGRE long ago..." Remiel informs his cousin as he buttons the collar of his yellow raincoat. Standing upon the shipwreck's upper deck, they are granted a haunting view of the dark sea beyond.[break][break]

The legendary sea basin Pokemon was still on the loose and many of the other leaguers were looking for it. She lets the Galarian embassy know that she’ll be on an investigation with her cousin over the purported whereabouts of Kyogre which would have a clue in Sea Mauville. Her purple raincoat takes the raindrops as Elise accompanies her cousin in looking around the abandoned shipwreck’s upper deck. The Sinistcha beside the former crown prince hissed at any sight of the ghost type Pokemon that made their home here.[break][break]

“If we find the reports written by him, would we be able to find Kyogre as well?” The royal Galarian ambassador asks the elder royal archaeologist since she had to worry about the marine Pokemon in their habitat as a ranger too. Floating beside her was the shiny Polteageist dressed in a little butler uniform though Chamomile fussed a little that his uniform got wet from the rain.

Just then, a SANDYGAST emerges from the cracks between the wooden boards. Seemingly weakened by the rain that dripped down from above, it tries to MEGA DRAIN the Sinistcha for sustenance. But the effort proves futile.[break][break]

Chatarou counters with a scalding splash of its green concoction (MATCHA GOTCHA) and the possessed sand shrieks as it flails about wildly on the deck. Thankfully, Remiel is there to put a stop to its pain early with the toss of a Luxury Ball.[break][break]

Hoenn’s history was a subject that she probably had to learn as Galarian Ambassador and both Johto and Galar’s histories were already in her repertoire of looking into both of their myths and legendary Pokemon. “I was asked earlier to research on the Galarian bird trio while I’m still looking into the history of the High King Calyrex and his steeds.” She responds to her cousin while her Polteageist finds a lone Sinistea and engages it in battle. “But I’m concerned for the destructive effect that Kyogre is doing to Hoenn’s oceans.”[break][break]

Chamomile tries to drain the Sinistea with Giga Drain as the wild Sinistea gives a pained grimace before the shiny Polteageist is surprised by the Sinistea's Astonish. He launches a Shadow Ball to weaken it and the royal ambassador throws a Dusk Ball at the weak Sinistea since it’ll drown out any of the cries that it sounds out.

She piqued Remiel's interest with the mention of the GALARIAN BIRDS. "Asked? By whom?" He inquires, briefly distracted by the incessant squawking of a WINGULL that encircled them above.[break][break]

Unsurprisingly, Chatarou was even more vexed by this squawking than his master was. The Sinistcha takes it upon itself to cast a vicious HEX on the bird, causing it to take a sudden nosedive into the calamitous ocean waves below. It doesn't resurface. [break][break]

Remiel wants to know who asked her about the Galarian birds and she’ll give him a name. “The person who asked me specifically about them was Officer Concordas. I think Paxton may have surmirsed that they could be connected to the Dyna Tree.” The officer had asked her about the Galarian birds since he thinks the three of them could be tied to the Dyna Tree. Elise hasn’t seen them before, but they appeared to be strange counterparts to the Kantonian ones. [break][break]

As her shiny Polteageist sees a wild Trevenant come toward them, a Shadow Ball from the pink teapot ghost gets the haunted tree’s sight onto him. The Trevenant attacks Chamomile with a Branch Poke, but it ends up stabbing the air. As Elise takes out a Dusk Ball from her pack, she throws it at the wild Trevenant to stop the ghost type from fighting her Pokemon.
