GYM DETAILS


THE BATTLE FRONTIER is a private institution geared to provide prospective trainers a chance to prepare against any situation. with prior appointment, trainers can schedule battles in a vast array of environments.

battles are scheduled in advance to allow gym staff to make appropriate accommodations. despite the prearranged nature of these challenges, it’s not uncommon for challengers to face an AI trainer.
[break][break]

challengers are asked to provide information on their current roster to assist in creating a suitable challenge as well as add to the league pokemon census. there are no restriction on making changes to your roster after issuing a challenge.

OBJECTIVE


ATTAIN VICTORY through whatever means. skill, strength, strategy? it matters not. those who are able to defeat the gym leader’s pokemon have proved themselves worthy of the SILPH BADGE.

for those unable to defeat veteran pokemon, the NON-TRADITIONAL CHALLENGES provde some relief. on paper, they are difficult and given a distinct advantage. those who are able to STRATEGIZE around their premise will find victory easier than those who rely on brute force.

TRADITIONAL


TRADITIONAL BATTLES will follow the standards listed here. the battle format is at the challenges discretion.

on occasion, challengers will face a GYM TRAINER who will have their own subset of pokemon. trainers do not have to win the battle in order to earn a badge.

NON-TRADITIONAL


NON-TRADITIONAL BATTLES consist of a list of preset challenges. these trials are posted publicly to allow trainers to aptly prepare.

any specific rulesets or requirements will be posted within that challenge. due to additional mechanics, these battles may prove more demanding than the standard traditional battle. trainers are encouraged to prepare beforehand and use counter strategies to help alleviate this difficulty.

RISING TRAINER, greyson connors, takes on the famous SWORD AND SHIELD challenge. his pokemon soon learn that double battles are more than a mix and match of typings. the synergy between fernando’s pokemon slowly but surely dismantle their formation, showing the young trainer he still has much to improve.

SLATEPORT GYM is one of the first on the list for gwyar’s return to the circuit. the experienced trainer makes short work of the SWORD AND SHIELD challenge. the teamwork between his pokemon is remarkable. it shows during their battle as they face and counter every opposition thrown at them.

A TEST OF PROGRESS

AFTER HER FIRST DEFEAT, yui fujin silph, fernando’s sister, returns to showcase her progress. using her ditto to match half of the SWORD AND SHIELD combination, yui is able to close the gap with her ace: eevee. the pokemon’s Z-MOVE starts the battle with a huge advantage that slowly progresses to an assured victory.
