At least he was keeping up with the daily attempt to yank the damned blade out of the rock.

There were whispers that some people had come so close only to be denied at the very last second, the Honedge in the rock coming to life and draining them of their living in-game ‘essence’ before exploding into a million pixelated drops of death.

Sighing, he watched this same fate befall the last person who had gone before him.

But, well, what kind of sadistic shit was he, coming out here every day to try and yank the damned thing out of the rock? Sighing once more, he pulled as hard as he could.

he comes back after he has died. "fourteenth time's the charm," he mumbles, still knowing that the likelihood of him pulling the sword out of the stone is near zero. trying's free though, so he'll try this until he gets tired.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

Isra is making her rounds again, as she is prone to do if left to her own devices. They bring her before the sword again. As they have many other times when she slips away from Remiel Calcifet's sight for a moment. A trick she's almost too good at.

"You almost seemed to like me last time." she tells the false pokemon, the lie in the false truth of their virtual surroundings. Somehow the notions speaks to her though, pulling out pieces of memories she has long since forgotten. She keeps speaking. "Have you made up your mind then? Or are you just toying with me?"

Regardless of the answer she'll never actually receive (she knows there isn't one, it's a fool's errand to ask but she does it anyway) Isra wraps a hand around the hilt of the blade and pulls.

Owning an establishment can make even the easiest of dailies in a game like this a troublesome thing to complete, enough so Evan had to be reminded to come give his hand a try at the sword in the stone. Mostly because he might as well if nothing else, who knows what might happen as the glove is slipped off his skeletal hand so that he give it a true enough try.

He laughs as he grips the hilt, because it's almost silly to think about really.

was anyone ever going to pull that damn honedge out of the stone?

so far, it looked like it wasn't head anywhere. the abysmal chances of taking the sword and claiming it to become a king or queen seemed to only lower each day, causing some players of the game to not even try it anymore. but katherine wasn't even close to giving up. sadly, she couldn't. ..as much as she would've preferred to, it'd be like admitting defeat. something she wasn't willing to consider.

it'll take as long as it'll take. but she'll get it.

And yet there were more players coming up to the sword in the stone, trying their luck—never mind if they ended up dying and having to respawn elsewhere.

Of course, he was one of them. Gritting his teeth, he prepared himself for the exploding sensation of pixelated death as he watched the last person who went before him try to grab the damned thing, only to end up blowing themselves up into tiny little indistinguishable pieces.

But that’s half the fun of it, right?

Squaring his shoulders, he then walked right up to the rock, planted a foot on one side of said rock, and began to pull.
