you are welcome to attempt to pull the honedge from its stone prison. however, should you fail, you will surely perish. handling a honedge by its hilt will cause its azure sash to steal your soul, forcing you to respawn at your saving point.[break][break][break]

kyle doesn't specifically need a sword. there is nothing to gain from pulling it out besides maybe bragging rights and owning some super rare loot.

he takes the pedestal, readies to take the sword. it is a game of chance, and while he has a few lucky moments, he cannot say that luck is one of his skills. besides, he wasn't going to pull this out with one try statistically speaking.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

Of course, it wouldn’t be that easy. The Honedge, as if waiting for somebody as foolish as her, immediately wrapped its sash around her hand. Before she could let out a confused cry, she was out for the count.

And just like that, the latest player trying to heave the sword from stone was obliterated.

"Holy shit kyle lopez, I think I saw it budge," Nightingale said with a look of captivation. Even the lone, eerie eye of the Honedge seemed a bit astonished by the efforts of the poor individual whose soul had been sapped. He'll respawn, right?

Watching again, another player steps up to plate.

"Good luck, Orion Lykos!"

But just like before, they were snared by the Honedge, destroyed in an instant. Brutal.

Next came Annie Mei, who also fell victim.

Looking at the dagger in hand, he can't help but feel the need for something better. Sure, he's adapted to the usage of a short blade; however, its overall quality is just too poor to make proper use.

Seeing the sword stuck within the stone, he can't help but slightly admire it. It's a chance to get something more useful than what he currently has. What's the harm?

And so, like many others before him, he steps up to the stone and reaches a hand out for the sword.

So he had heard something about a sword stuck in a stone.

It reminded him of those weird stories he had read about online, honestly. And that there was something… waiting for them should they manage to yank it out.

Of course, Alexei—rather, Zimavich—was a Mage. What the hell was he going to do with a sword if he wielded a staff? But the thought of getting a prize was appealing… never mind how bad his luck seemed to be! Following the rumors, he eventually ended up at the abandoned, quiet churchyard where it was waiting in plain sight.

Was he seeing things, or did other people seemingly blink out of existence after trying to pull the sword? Was there something with the sword? Did it eat people?

Obviously, he did not know about respawning yet. Whoops.

Shrugging his shoulders, he then walked forward and looked around. Muttering under his breath that he didn’t look stupid. Taking a deep breath, he then attempted to grab the sword by the handle…

Valerio relished at the image of the ancient honedge of Valora. In all of the video games he has ever played, special items like this one surely granted the player enough power to thwart his nemeses. And all he needed was a pull, a nodge to lift the living weapon from its prison.

Unlike many others who'd simply stumbled across the churchyard and decided to follow the leader, Gavin had actually read up on some of the lore for the game. When he invested himself in something, he did so wholeheartedly.[break][break]

He was a rogue, and so swords weren't useful to him, but the legend of kingship was alluring enough.[break][break]

The handsome reward for lifting the worn down honedge from the rock was tempting, but Selena did not even know what to do with it. She's a mage, afterall. But then it struck her, how cool would it be if she uses blades instead of wands for weapon, and these blades can conjure magic?

The idea was so good Selena didn't even realize she was already holding the hilt of the honedge in the stone. There was a glimmer of hope to be the 'rightwise queen born' but Selena can never be sure.

Alec had walked up to the stone that had the Honeedge stuck inside it's center. Alec was a Mage, however this was considered to be a new quest that anyone could do, so he figured 'why not at least try?' Maybe something interesting would happen if he was able to pull the sword out from it's confines. [break][break]

However ... there was a very big risk when it came to pulling out the sword, ... and failing. Apparently if someone were to fail at pulling the sword out of the stone. Alec figured though that the reward was far too great to pass up the chance. After all, the worst that he could do was respawn back to his most previous save point, which was actually rather recent.[break][break]
