"I used to know a bug catcher," Zac said, a little wearily, "but he turned out to be a bit of a military nut. Got a bit too aggressive for me." On that morose note, Zac stepped back to give their Pokemon a little room to battle. "Okay! No use brooding, let's get this show on the road! Ready there Jasmine?" Vikavolt buzzed excitedly. The pitch rose until it was harsh and furious, like an electric fan, and Jasmine shot towards Scizor, her powerful jaws clanging together in an X-SCISSOR.

Big Habanero didn't get back up. Zac went over to inspect the bird and found that they were asleep, tuckered out from the Z-Move and subsequent gun. He picked up Doduo, cradling it like a snoozing baby, with both if its heads draped over his shoulder. One of the heads, Mario probably, drooled a little. "Oh? Were you a gym leader?" Zac asked the mysterious trainer.

As Zac's Rotom charged one more time, the redheaded trainer smelled something burning. Had Snow White overdone herself? Was there too much electricity in her circuits and something was melting? Zac wasn't an electronologist, but it seemed possible, nay, probable! 

He looked at the little fridge foreshadowingliy.

Calliope's Pidgeot was nigh indestructible. With hollow, mithril bones, and wings of feathered of adamantium, the bird rose again, seeming almost stronger than before? Had Big Habanero's attack healed it somehow? It was impossible to tell. "That's one strong bloody bird you've got there!" Zac said, his eyebrows so high that they blended into his hair.

The impact cloud whirled, forming into a blast of air that whipped at Big Habanero, knocking over the bird as if it had just been shot by a handgun that the Pidgeot had been hiding under its wings.

"And that's one hell of a Kabutops!" Zac said, laughing and grabbing Oscar's hand in a firm shake. "You had us on the run right from the start! He's got a powerful, predatory instinct, doesn't he?" Zac was a big fan of the creature. If it hadn't been for some quick thinking, and even quicker sand, the battle might have turned out quite differently.

The sand stopped swirling, levelling out somewhat into a shallow pit. Bootes crawled out, and up Zac's pants, resting on his shoulder. "We should do this again some time!"
