The palm of a hand strikes against him, swelling against his cheek. Jayden grits his teeth, fighting the urge of the storm that threatens to rise inside of him, but otherwise does nothing.

[break][break] Behind those eyes of polished sapphire was the ghost of his past demons, the reminder of his father's control that birthed 's ever-lasting resentment. The image of the Rocket Underboss commanding his own pokemon to attack him, to incinerate him in that infernal parade.

[break][break] And here he was again, willing to burn in 's fire, for the sake of those convictions.

jayden can conjure a cold or snowstorm that exudes an aura of hatred. targets caught within its radius are CONFUSED AND/OR BERSERK


[break] The CURSED'S decree screams through the air as ice and flames coalesce in the frozen tundra. Jayden inhales, feeling the burning edges lick old wounds, but before he can plunge himself into the madness, vines suddenly wrap around him. Ice-blue eyes widen with surprise, as saves him from further damage, taking the brunt of the flame as he throws himself to the side, swathed in snow.

[break][break] Belyi shouts with agony as the FLAME CHARGE slams into him and he is thrown back, claws sinking deep as he skids across the snow. Icy blue glimmers like starlight as his MIRROR COAT reacts in retaliation, surrounding itself in prismacolor before energy pulsates outwards towards the other in retaliation.

[break][break] As the attacks skyrocket above him, Jayden rolls to his feet. Crimson-stained snow rests beneath his feet as he takes in a sharp breath, focusing on the coolness of the ice around him to temper his emotions. Eventually, the blurry charades of fall away to reveal someone else beneath his delusions, chipped away like shards of glass.

[break][break] "You will regret ever defying us today, Councilwoman," he murmured.

[break][break] Once again, HATRED brims in his eyes like a growing tide. Tiny swords flash into the air like daggers, swirling around him before shooting out towards the Councilwoman in an attempt to cut her into a thousand pieces.

[break][break] Father was probably a fan of literature himself, but it was not a hobby that he thought to share with his son. At least, not Michail. Perhaps Alexei would know better. He seemed to spend more time with his father, anyway.

[break][break] At the word music, even more confusion dawned in the young boy's expression, dotting like summer clouds in a spotty sky.

[break][break] "I've never danced," he confesses.

[break][break] That would come later, when he's trained in the way of the Prescott's, when he learns how exactly his father wishes him to behave at important events like that. It would be later that he learned to dance with Summer and , twirling between them like a precious prize that pretended they didn't want to lose.

[break][break] His head tilts as he listens to the young version of anyways, liking the way that she speaks of these foreign concepts. Poetry, music, dance. It sounds like a lovely thing.

[break][break] Like a dream that he has no business in knowing.

Before they could begin, the area was suddenly swathed in darkness. Stars blanketed the horizon above them, reminding the admin of his Galarian upbringing. A feeling of nostalgia pierced him like the stars pinpricked the sky above as he breathed in the cool night air.

[break][break] Slowly but surely, the visage of a towns person appeared in the distance. Blurry as they were, their voice carried crisply across the night.

When Rocket's most esteemed blacksmith entered the chamber that was 's office, she would find that the office look quite different than it had prior. First - and perhaps the most noticible of the changes - was that the room was of a frigid, nearly ice-cold temperature. Ever since the admin had recovered from the medbay and graduated into his office, it seemed that the cold had followed him there too, even if his icy-cold patron had not. These days, Chien Pao was a fickle beast at best, appearing where it wanted to and disappearing when it didn't, only materializing at moments when it believed that it could slake it's ever-growing hunger for the spite and HATRED that was undoubtedly sprouting like a black flower in the avatar's chest.

[break][break] The second was the fact that Jayden himself seemed substantially weaker. A man who had almost always been at his prime health previously was now visibly fatigued and pale, the scars that lined his body unmistakable to note. Rumors floated around the Rocket Sub that the admin had died during the events of the Cave of Origin, and that the version of himself that was now was merely a ghost in his presence. Ironic, considering that he seemed to emulate the ghosts that he loved so dearly.

[break][break] And third was the stacks of papers that seemed to line his desk. It was paperwork that had piled up since his hospitalization in the medbay, comprised of various paperwork that and had not been able to complete, with one of their admins getting lost in the shadows of his own mind and the other chasing after a series of galarian dreambirds.

[break][break] And of course, fourth and final, was the admin himself. He was found asleep on his couch in the back-corner of his room, curled up in a fetal position with a breath that seemed labored. At the bright voice of , which rang like a beautiful chime in the frigid space, Jayden flinched. His face contorted into wakefulness and he blinked his eyes open, gaze shifting from ice-blue to violet, as he tried to shake the sight of feverish clouds from his vision.

[break][break] Hallucinations shifted in his mind's eye - the sight of a blurry shifting into the familiar visage of his favorite blacksmith. His face smoothed as he propped himself into a sitting position.

[break][break] "Ah... sorry," he amended, running a hand over his face. Crystals fell from his cheek. "I was taking a nap."

[break][break] He squinted.

[break][break] "Are those the... materials I ordered?"

's training was going smoothly. While it was not as easy as an endeavor as it had been when he had trained — mostly due to the fact that Howard had a much more rigorous schedule than he had planned for the Beast — everything was aligned as it should have been.
