he'd had daydreams of course of meeting ciel and him inviting glitch onto his show. at the end of those daydreams they usually ended up kissing. so there was no way in hell he was about to pass up this opportunity to hang out with him. even if they didn't end up kissing it would still be a dream come true to have actual footage of him and ciel next to one another. "i would love to! plus i can always help if something goes wrong with your gear again. you never know." maybe they would even hold hands or something... you never know.

glitch didn't really know anything about any of his pokemon because most of them were stolen. not that it mattered. people weren't expected to know every little bit of trivia about every single pokemon they had or anything. that would be ridiculous. but he nodded and listened to ciel talk. it was fun listening to him talk in person. maybe even more fun than listening to him talk on stream. "i didn't really know any of that. though i do have a couple fossil pokemon too." those usually impressed people. especially since they were the freakshow pokemon from galar.

"i mostly have pokemon that help me with my work." not technically a lie. "and bigger pokemon to help protect me when im on the road." and also not technically a lie. "button is my smallest pokemon but i'm going to work on evolving him eventually. his evolution is massive." glitch at least knew that much.

doing the panic! at the picnic mission

being small and dainty made him the perfect damsel in distress in this situation. to be fair he felt a bit like one as he pulled his legs up onto slushie for protection, looking around to see where angelo vestri had managed to get swept off to. it wasn't his fault if he drowned after glitch had already saved him, right? but luckily he wasn't entirely alone. with a short wave to kyle lopez he shook his head. "angelo got pulled under but we pulled him out but then he got swept away again and I don't know where to. the sharpedo stopped me from getting a good look." especially since he was now bleeding.

"i haven't seen anyone else... do you know where melody is? or skylar?" he wasn't going to ask about his teammates. they could take care of themselves quite easily and since he'd already seen angelo there was no point in asking about him. he was going to keep his cover for as long as possible. after all it was more helpful to him if melody didn't know he was a member of rocket. she would talk to someone who wasn't a member of rocket after all. "we should head for one of the islands, if anyone is going anywhere it'll be land for better footing." the water was too dangerous and he was unable to really do much except sit on the back of his pokemon and wait to get eaten.

so he urged the arctovish forward towards one of the closest islands, not wanting to get caught up in this mess to the point that his own life was at risk.

digging around in the basket he got a couple of sodas out and opened them up while ciel talked. it was nice to actually sit here and have a good time with him and not just watch his videos. as much as he wanted to just like, talk about all the stupid shit that happened in those videos he was going to keep playing it cool. or at least he was going to try to keep playing it cool. "i don't really do much with ghost types, but i have a dreepy! his name is button!" that was cool, right? not cringe as fuck to try and talk about button? god what a stupid fucking name for a pokemon now that he thought about it.

doing the panic! at the picnic mission

so this was serious, serious business. taking the papers he started to look at them intently. there were tons of things that he liked to do and most of them involved spreading rumors. "this should be a walk in the park. i love ruining people's lives on the internet. you know my cousin Melody Miro just became a gym leader." and she was definitely a part of league. which was a shame. she would be fun to have around the base sometimes. "i started spreading rumors about how the league are why porygon are in low supply once." he needed to keep up with wrecking people's lives after all. now he could do it with a good purpose now at least.

Chu-e Choi

he listened to giona ferrara talk about how he was an outdoor person or whatever and blah blah blah. it was fine for him to like working out but it was strange to think that someone actually enjoyed all the manual labor that came with it. though he supposed that was part of the deal of being the muscle. "i want to be rich and i want to be powerful. it's as simple as that. i'm a very simple man." he wanted the money and power that could come with being in rocket. "and i want to have fun while doing it." he'd left school early due to being bored to hell with it and ended up doing meaningless jobs while trying to find his true calling. causing chaos seemed to be it.

but their chat was to be interrupted by a couple of pokemon that came by, nothing that really bothered him. not when one of them was a pokemon he'd had his eye on the lookout for for awhile. with a glimmer of excitement he jumped up to approach the conkeldurr. it was bit. it was strong and it was just the type of pokemon he loved to have on his team. and just like every other big lug that seemed to be unwanted all it needed was a little bit of attention to make it feel good enough about itself to love you.

digging out one of the many snacks from his bag he held it out for the wary pokemon to take. "don't worry about what's going on with them big guy... you can come with me nice and easy and i'll make sure that everything is fine." it was better of course than trying to fight it out. especially since glitch's pokemon on deck was his hatterene. a pokemon sure to obliterate the hell out of this meathead. so it accepted the snack and then cautiously accepted the pokeball rather than fight it out.

it was easy as pie to get these things to sync once you figured out the trick to it. these cameras were finicky and without hesitation glitch pulled joycon closer to use him as a wireless hot spot. "the issue with these cameras is that the initial set up needs a wireless connection for some reason. after the first time you don't need it but for the first set up always test this with a strong connection. joycon here works just as well though." after all he'd messed around with a porygon's settings enough to make it useful. "here, this should do it..." with the press of a button he held the camera up and looked around with it. "looks like you're golden..."

as soon as they surfaced it felt like the world was ending. attacks from the sky and now from the sea made things worse and worse as the person he saved was pulled away from him. but he didn't have time to worry about that right now. clutching tightly to the phione there was only one real way to get it out of the chaos. fumbling with his bag he pulled out an empty pokeball that the phione was more than ready to go inside just out of sheer fear. it knew that those things meant that you couldn't be harmed by outside forces at least and as a baby that seemed like a very good prospect.

forward surged one of the sharpedo as the phione disappeared into the pokeball, slushie using freeze-dry to try and stop it in it's track. it worked but that didn't mean this wasn't the last of the issues. "we need to retreat... regroup!" he heard angelo vestri call for the same. his ears buzzed with the sound of screams from the noivern and he felt like he was starting to get a sensory overload. "melody?" he called out for his cousin, unsure of where she was or what she was doing right now. if she was alright or if she had managed to get away from all of this.

but he couldn't worry about her as rough skin brushed against his leg, causing blood to drip slowly down and send the sharpedo into further frenzy. he had to get out of here, had to get slushie out of here as the pokemon continued to freeze-dry the shark pokemon that continued to get closer. luckily the fossil began to swim closer to the shore of one of the small islands that clustered around. he didn't care about the shitty orb and he didn't care about the mission. he cared about his fucking self and his fucking pokemon. and his cousin.

of course things couldn't stay peaceful today. they never really did when it came to missions like this. everything began to happen all of a sudden and all at once as the noivern and noibat began to swarm. he'd known something like that was coming but he still wasn't expecting it as it happened. he watches it begin to unfold as everyone begins to react. he likes chaos as much as the next person but this seems like so much. too much almost. but that doesn't matter right now as he clutches the phione closer to his chest. watching as one of the noivern pluck one of the stunned ones from the water and rip it apart, a gel like blood oozing back into the water as if it was just some sort of jelly. it was disgusting and really he was glad that slushie's shield like head blocked it from view from the little one trembling in his arms.

"it'll be alright? okay? just stay with me and you'll be just fine." he was about to order slushie to attack, to do something. when he saw angelo vestri slipping into the water. without thinking he urged slushie forward. "dive, go." holding his breath they dove into the ice cold water after him. sure he was a member of the league or whatever but it would look suspicious if no one tried to save him. plus it would be good cover if he did try and save him after all of this went down. so he had slushie tuck underneath kyle and scoop the man up behind his shield like head so they could resurface. this had better be good karma for a very fucking long time.





glitch shields the phione in his arms and dives down to save angelo vestri from drowning

glitch wrinkled his nose, vaguely remembering something about explosions or whatever. he wasn't much for religion but then again that wasn't really a lot of people's forte. "i never only carry one kind of phone. its a hazard to say the least." after all there were different phones for different jobs. and he rarely let his porygon into one of them. especially since they could be stolen so easily. "i do a lot of hacking work obvs. i've done data reconstruction, data deconstruction. i've had fun spreading little rumors about the league and silph co. too. if it can be done i can probably do it or figure it out." but he was extremely curious about the work that chu-e wanted him to do. anything had to be better than volunteering at a shitty aquarium again. sticking some sugar in his tea he had a seat finally. now that they were semi-talking business he wanted to be semi-professional. "i even helped a guy set up his bluetooth camera once."

Chu-e Choi

humming to himself he poked at the togepi's cheek a little. it was cute but it was still a baby, he wasn't ready for a baby. "you'll pay child support and like it. and you'll have custody on the weekends because daddy still needs to do hot girl s... stuff." he wasn't going to say shit in front of a baby. that was probably a bullshit thing. "maybe they were trying to get the togepi to learn how to fist fight. too bad it's just a little baby." it blurbled and gurgled a bit as it stared down at them from c.c.'s hat. "we should probably take it over to the lab or to the dorms. the dorms might have someone looking for an egg." it was a good as idea as any.
