He nearly squeaks at such a rare find, but keeps his cool. Toshiaki steadies the grip on his bug net, golden eyes shimmering in excitement at the bug Pokemon that crawled out into the open. Larvesta were so cute.. and it's all his! He jumps out the grass, catches the little bugger in the net, and taps a Pokeball against it. [break][break]

1. Toshiaki was diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) at a very young age. Though he went unmedicated until his early teen years. he also has ASD (Autism spectrum disorder) which explains a lot of his behaviors toward people as a whole.[break]
2. Fossil/Bug Pokemon and outer space have always been special interests of Toshiaki. He loves to study and share facts about them to his friends![break]
3. Childhood friend of lilith eirwin. They've had on/off communication over the years, but Toshiaki is shown to be protective of her given the simlarities of their shared past. [break]
4. While seemly oblivious to people's romantic advancements. After seeing his parent's relationship and marriage quickly fall apart, (combined with conflicting emotions that he shouldn't have ever been born) Toshiaki struggles with romance as a whole, feeling undeserving of it. therefore he has commitment issues.[break]
5. loves spicy food and is a ramen addict. please put vegetables in his fridge.[break]

Despite being so alike they differed quite a lot as well. Toshiaki’s much more modest with his attire, despite being just as athletic as Rae. The cold weather doesn’t seem to affect him much, either.[break][break]
Quietly he fidgets with the straps of his backpack, like a child ready for their very first field trip. He beams over at Rae. “Yeah! The space center’s wicked cool! Heck, I could probably tell ya more than those silly automated informational intercoms can.”[break][break]
As they approach the entrance he pauses, notices a flashy balloon stand and all the jublisant children crowding over it, hounding the poor salesman. They had classic Clefairy balloons, Miniors in a variety of colors, and then simple star shaped ones that glittered like pure gold..[break][break]
He stares a good long while, before forcing himself to pry his sparkling gaze away.[break][break]
'C’mon dude, you’re way too old for a balloon.'[break][break]
“W-We can check out some of the rocks and spacesuits on display!”[break][break]
He strains a smile, but he really was happy to be here with her! “Astronauts actually collected them and brought them back to earth! Then there’s the planetarium, where it’s like you’re drifting through the galaxy itself.”[break][break]

“Nice to meet ya, Locke, Koro-Koro. This is Togetic! But He doesn’t have a nickname yet.” He happily returns the handshake, flashing a kind smile over to their Pokemon Partner as well. He had a clear soft spot for Pokemon and wasn’t afraid to let it show.[break][break]
“Delivery business, huh?” He leans into the palm of his hand as the other talks, not feigning interest, but genuinely intrigued by this information. They looked around to be the same age, so owning a business at all was an impressive feat. to him. One that might help him out in the future. Toshiaki flashes a toothy grin. “Say, do you do out of region deliveries? If so, you got yourself a customer already!”[break][break]
“Oh! I like Bug and Fossil Pokemon! But, I have a soft spot for the canine ones too.” A fond, but melancholic smile settles on his features for the briefest of moments. Luckily, Toshiaki’s quick to change the pace of the conversation.[break][break]
Thankfully for Locke, nothing bored Toshiaki that easily. “So, fishing! I always wanted to try it. Ever reel in a Gyradoes or anything fun like that?”[break][break]

Togepi takes to Lilith rather quickly, trilling happily as he transfers over and onto their shoulder. Maybe it was just to be nice, reassurance that she wouldn’t run off. Either way, it relived him to have a little break. With that out of the way, Toshiaki stands in line to handle their choice of orders.[break][break]
After a couple of minutes he comes back with a styrofoam cup tray and a paper bag of treats, containing a little bit of something for everybody.[break][break]
“Sorry, the line was pretty long. Warmed up yet?”[break][break]
He sets the tray on the table and takes a seat next to Lilith at a respectable distance. He didn’t want to potentially scare her off by being all too buddy-buddy with her. Togepi cozily cuddles in between them, happy that his trainer was with somebody else for a change.[break][break]
“One hot chocolate, and two warm milks for the lil’ fellas.” He smiles gently, carefully picking them out from the tray and handing each one to her. Then his lips press to his own beverge, also a hot chocolate, and he indulges in the flavor for a brief moment, before softening his gaze toward her.[break][break]
"So.. uh, what's new?"[break][break]

That inner child of his was eager to come at whenever the opportunity fit, even during times when it didn’t. They were both unfortunate to be born with limited freedom. However, now that they have a vague taste of it, letting it go to waste would be almost unforgivable. Wouldn’t it?[break][break]
Lilith declines his outreached hand, which he figured would happen, but it doesn’t deter him from lightly pinching the end of her clothing to keep ahold of her. Always playing the lost puppy card.[break][break]
“..Thank you for coming with me. I mean that.” His smile is subtle, a mix of gratitude and melancholy embedded in it’s curves.[break][break]
“I know it’s pretty selfish of me, draggin’ you here. Like yeah, fairs are fun. But honestly? I took you here, because I like you under the sun a lot better than you hidin’ yourself away.”[break][break]
Maybe now would be a good time for that merciless gut punch. He’ll take whatever she dishes at him. But first —[break][break]
“OH! They’ve got the riffle game here!” He turns to Lilith, grinning wide as he pounds a fist against his chest. “A’right, leave it to me! Which prize do you want? I’ll win you anything you want.”[break][break]

Like how any good tourist should aspire to dress, Toshiaki is decked out, head-to-toe in various space memorabilia. He wears the classic black “SPACE CENTER” shirt, with the iconic image of the moon painted across on the front. Such nerdy fashion is followed by a pair of acid washed jeans, and his black canvas backpack, which has color planet-shaped keychains. And of course, we couldn’t forget the iconic white “SPACE CENTER” brand vans!! [break][break]
He had always wanted to come here, ever since he learned about it as a child. Before that seemed impossible, but now here it is, right in front of his sights. A dream come true. [break][break]
“Alright!” Toshiaki pumps his fists in the air, ecstatic for the day to come. He turns over to Rae, flashing a bright smile her way. “Today’s gonna be AWESOME! What should we do? See first?”[break][break]

He’s been to similar events like this in the past, though this time around it seems a little more casual, less cut-throat than he was used to. Still, his nerves couldn’t help but alight at all the different faces and people of different status. Soon all those unhappy memories begin to resurface, and Toshiaki almost wants to hightail it out of there.[break][break]
Togetic senses this and nuzzles his trainer’s cheek with little kisses. He giggles, relaxing into the touch right up until a stranger takes a seat in the empty chair across from them. Oh![break][break]
“Yo! Nice to meet cha’, I’m Toshiaki!” He grins, while Togetic frantically frets over Toshiaki’s crooked bowtie, which the Pokemon so graciously fixes for him. What a duo![break][break]
Addmitingly, Toshiaki hadn’t prepared a list of questions, so he asks the first thing that comes to mind.[break][break]

A Star's Debut (Rhythm Badge)

In the blink of an eye he’s teleported somewhere else, much to his confusion. Pitch black, nothing to be seen. Though once those bright lights flicker on, and he lies his eyes on the new scenery, it all begins to make sense. A single spot on the stage, in the center, the gym leader herself.[break][break]
He grins at her words, more proud than offended at the statement. “Damn straight! Proves I’m serious, doesn't it?”[break][break]
Obstagoon and Noivern, huh? He has somewhat of an advantage then.[break][break]
As he reaches for his pokeballs that contain the smaller aces on his team, every inch of his fingers tingle with static. Everything about this was electrifying. How the sweat stuck his skin. How his eardrums felt full, ready to burst.[break][break]
His grin grows wider as he chucks both the Pokeballs in a perfect throw.[break][break]
“Togetic! Whimsicott! Go, I choose you!”[break][break]
Once the glow fades, the two Fairy types trill happily, anticipating their next move.[break][break]
Toshiaki studies the layout well. When it was something he liked, his intuition and judgement was pretty stellar.[break][break]
Full of energy, Toshiaki ground pounds the floor, and points dead ahead, shouting with vigor.[break][break]
“ALRIGHT! Let’s show em’ what we’re made of, boys! Whimscott, use Tailwind! And Togetic, follow it up with Fairy Wind at em’ both!”[break][break]
On cue Whimscott begins to float in the air, twirling as he creates a fast gust of wind that propels forward. Togetic’s body seems to respond to the shift of the environment, it’s tiny wings twitching as it lets out a small, yet powerful yell.[break][break]
Full of gusto, Togetic releases a wave of Fairy Wind right at the two taller, intimidating Pokemon.[break][break]
