Nenet stands, hands on her hips, as she eyes the orb-ish little Hattrem that has gorged itself on her berry plants. Her nose wrinkles as a soft burp sounds from the Pokemon, who tries once and then fails, to get back on her feet.

With a shake of her head Nenet pulls out a Pokeball and tosses it. She would find a home for the little freeloader later. For now trying to salvage her remaining berry harvest was in order.

"I'm very good at glorified tours," Nenet assures Freya; motioning slowly, she guides the councilwoman towards the Ultra Space exhibit as she begins to speak.

"We've had this exhibit up for roughly eight months," she explains as they pass beside a Buzzwole's recreation, the figurine towering. "There are several programs to introduce the public to the horizons beyond - I help organise online outreach via livestreams, but I do most of my teaching in classes for the public here and at Lilycove." Tipping her chin towards the hovering Poipole, she adds fondly, "I've taken that one on stream a few times. We're learning and have learned a good deal about Ultra Beasts, I would say."

As they meander through the exhibit their destination is clear: an elevator door marked DO NOT ENTER tucked away in one of the darkened corners for the public to miss. "We keep the public mostly contained the the first floor, but we do have a few classrooms and interactive observation stations set up for them to watch us work."

Nenet halts immediately at the expletive, her golden eyes cutting over to Cillian's face. He gives a stilted explanation of his feelings, and it's not until he promises he's 'good' that Nenet's hands move again.

Focused on the slow push of the toxin, her eyebrow arches slowly as his veins being to darken and his skin pales. A definite reaction to whatever immunity he does have, she continues to push the syringe's plunger until the oncoming confession.

Withdrawing her hands and detaching the toxin, she places the Antidote into the connector just in case and begins to assess Cillian. Taking his free arm into her hands, she pushes his sleeve up to examine his veins there. "Are you still dizzy," she asks. Some of the prominence of the veins has faded, but they're still easy enough to see.

"It may not be possible," Nenet states all of a sudden, her hands clasping together as she leans forwards to rest her elbows on her knees. "Immunity," she clarifies after a moment's pause.

"Do you want to keep going?"

Nenet stills imperceptibly, her expression off for less than a second as the word 'mom' washes over her. She shoves the imagery out of her mind - she wasn't any little girl's mother and she didn't miss said little girl.

"We won't be calling you daddy," is her low, playful reply before her attention shifts to the saleswoman hovering far enough away to be polite.

With a warm smile, she taps above the diamond cluster ring and says, her voice rising from the whisper it was to Zev, "I'd like to try this one." The woman - her name tag emblazoned with Rika - hops over swiftly and with a wide smile as she opens the case and chatters about the rings.

Carefully taking the jewellery from its display as it's offered, Nenet slips on the ring and holds out her had. It all feels surreal, but here she is in the middle of a jewellery store with Zev buying a wedding ring over a year after the fact.

"What do you think," she asks the blonde man beside her while the saleswoman coos over them being a 'cute couple'.

Nenet doesn't lean against Zev, though she does allow his arm to slip around her waist as they stand side by side, staring at rings together. Her lips quirk into a vague smile at his reminder - how could she forget? Still, it was odd having no price point to wrangle with. She made good enough money, though it was nothing compared to what Zev earned and hid away.

To think he was indulging her like this. It was almost unbelievable.

As Nenet browses, her fingertips trailing over the glass counter until she taps above a white gold ring, its gemstone a pale agate with mossy inclusions. "I think yellow gold would look better," she muses aloud. As she speaks she glances downwards, the Rockruff leaning against her ankle being surprisingly good for the outing once a few well-placed scratches from Zev convinced him to behave.

"Something like this?" She taps a simple yellow gold ring with diamond clusters as its setting, her gaze casting upwards to 'Jason' as she speaks.

Nenet smiled softly, one that remained as she returned Zev's kiss, only to falter at his words. She stares openly, shocked and wide-eyed at his statement, and cannot seem to immediately find a reply in turn.

She recognised the weight of the statement. It wasn't a declaration of love, but one of trust. Familiarity. Zev was offering what he could in turn, even if the words were all wrong.

It was right to Nenet, though.

"Thank you," is what she says, low and emphatic. This was a gift, a concession, and binding all at once. Gently, her hands lift to cup Zev's face and she kisses him sweetly again before burrowing into his chest.

She listens to his heartbeat as the room falls silent, and falls asleep cocooned in sweet words spoken only for her.

The shutter flew open and Nenet stared into the vast expanse of space, stars smearing into line in the distance. What garners her attention, however, is a single body keeping pace with the ship, its twirling body pausing by the window just long enough for Nenet's eyes to widen as she recognises a Celebi of all things. In a blink the Pokemon is gone, twirling faster towards the presumed front of the ship.

"We're in Ultra Space," Nenet calls over her shoulder to Zev Harcourt and those nearby (THEO BECKETT, priam conrad, Cillian Quinn, MAKI YUKIMURA, illeana reyes), "and a Celebi is following."

That explained as many questions as it answered, which wasn't much.

Turning away from the window Nenet points to Fezandipiti and directs her Pyroar to Hyper Voice the offending warden.

Nenet blinks once, a fleeting moment of surprise touching her expression before it's gone in an instant, before she smiles indulgently and purrs out in return, "Of course we are. I love you."

Zev knew. She also knew his limits but that did not stop the declaration, the unity of her to him.

As she speaks her hand shifts down to take his left hand into her own, her fingertips caressing his ring finger where soon it will be adorned with a ring. She would have to look into the different options. Nothing that could break easily, or catch on something.

Moving her hand, she laces her fingers with his own, entwined as one.

Unaware of Elisa's inner crisis and anticipation of rejection, Nenet answers, "I'm sure there's also tea in the break room." With a tip of her chin towards the doorway, she says decisively, "Let's find out." She motions towards the doorway for the other woman to follow and, not waiting to ensure that fact, moves down the hallway and into one of the side rooms.

The break room was somewhat enviable compared to what Nenet was used to at the Observatory - she would have committed murder for that coffee machine. Immediately she begins to dig through cabinets, coming up with paper cups and cup sleeves to place on the counter. It's not much longer that she fishes up a selection of tea with a triumphant, "I knew it. Hopefully one of these works."

Offering a pleased wink, she then moves to make her coffee while pouring a sickening amount of creamer and sweetener into her cup. "This is the best part of the scientific process," she murmurs teasingly, her gaze impish when she looks back to Elisabeth.

Eyeing Zev Harcourt, Nenet nonetheless stayed silent as her husband touched his ribs. If he wanted to suffer in silence that was his business for now. He could walk and still help to escape which is all that mattered at present.

Before them, Pokemon suspended in green liquid captured Nenet's attention moments before Zev directed her and MAKI YUKIMURA towards them. She moved quickly, uncertain whether to touch the toxic chain wrapped beasts until the team was exuded from the fleshy tubes and their toxic chains sloughed away. "Haunani," Nenet whispered, her hands extending to stroke the lioness's chin and cheeks with fondness.

A brief glance at Zev revealed him covered in crystals once more and relief washed over Nenet; his connection to Necrozma evidently restored. Following into the adjoining room, her stomach drops as they find the Megalopolans huddled together in terror. She watched, torn briefly as ameena abadi ripped a child away from their family, but ultimately turned a blind eye.

Instead, Nenet moved to stand near Cillian Quinn, priam conrad, and THEO BECKETT with Zev, focusing instead on their immediate surroundings. Dynamaxed Pokemon filled the ship and, feeling somewhat protected by the surrounding Rockets, Nenet moved to the nearest window and attempted to rip open the shutter. One glance outside would help determine exactly where they were, and whether it was safe to order Zev to rip through the hull.

As she fumbled with the window, Nenet orders her Pyroar to terastallise.

"I will," Nenet answers, her gaze shifting back to Zev as he speaks.

She offers a thin smile as she watches her husband leave. Her stomach clenched, despite knowing she was better off unseen in his presence. Holding her breath until the front door closes behind him, Nenet slowly exhales, one hand lifting to idly grip the back of her neck as she once more looks over her floating Pokemon.

"Alright," she murmurs to herself before going to examine the tanks once more. Surely there was a clue somewhere.

It isn't every day Nenet descends from her office to meet one of Hoenn's Councilwomen, but today is such a day. At her side hovers a small white and gold Poipole who darts here and there with a mischievous glint in its eyes that only grows in intensity when it spies the woman waiting in the lobby for the pair.

"Ms. Morningstar it's a pleasure to have you," Nenet greets as she approaches, her hand already extending to shake Freya's. "Based on your message I wasn't sure if you were here for a just tour or something else?" Her voice trails off into a question, though she smiles pleasantly.

Not to be outdone, Poipole observes the women's movements and promptly extends a little arm of its own towards Freya with an expectant look while Nenet gives an indulgent chuckle.

"I hope Rika at least offered you something to drink while you waited?"
