Law is sent flying backwards, the TERA BLAST smacking right into the bear, who is less than prepared for the attack in whole. But, even as he spins, he cartwheels in the air, and stomps on the ground to get his traction, the friction burning his paw pads.[break][break]

The Kubfu grins. And back forward, jumping into action, the Kubfu does not prepare an attack. "Take'em where you wanna take'em!" The bear nods, holding his paws out.[break][break]

And then, right in front of the Meltan, he baits with a COUNTER.[break][break]

The G-MAX VOLT CRASH smashes into the street arena, a blast of dust blowing over all. As powerful as the COUNTER is, more so than that is the blast. But.[break][break]

Law manages to use DETECT. And with it, is able to withstand the blast at whole. Standing tall. Bruised, beaten, and nigh bloody. But he stands tall, the Kubfu throwing one arm up... only to take a stumble forward. Step by step, in sync with Ash. The silver-haired boy coming over to Ollie.[break][break]

"G-Good match. Ollie," he sheepishly says, his silver eyes looking downwards. As Law holds a hand to Tofu, and smiles. He's barely standing. But Tofu... was a good Pikachu.[break][break]

"I don't think... I mean-" Uncertainty plagues him.

Ashley kind of reels back. Ash just watches that Meltan attempt the THUNDER WAVE, but the Kubfu spins in place to get that triple set of AERIAL ACEs off. Honestly, he kind of felt bad. But with a fist out, Ashley smiles.[break][break]

It's crazy, watching Law maneuver in midair, as the THUNDER PUNCH comes in, Law can barely see it coming. But he has a plan. Because Law takes it fully, paws fully out in a means to let the blow deliver to him.[break][break]

On the other end, however, Law accepts the strike, and dishes it back twofold with a COUNTER, striking back with as much force as he can to use all of that momentum against the Charizard, using the punch to spin upwards and kick the Charizard in the face, midair![break][break]

This tournament really wasn't going in Ashley's favor. The losses were always painful, and though he was really enjoying the thrill of the fight, he was having trouble enjoying himself more and more as time went on.[break][break]

Maybe it was too exhausting, but as he throws his head back, and stares at Law, he sees the little bear's endless workout drive. How he might be able to get back into it someday soon.[break][break]

Law really was just a good boy. Ashley decided to do something nice for him here, on this city street. "Hey" Ash asks with a smile towards a random passerby, and gestures to his Kubfu. "My Kubfu has this insatiable battle lust... you cool if we throwdown?" All of Lilycove was open after all.[break][break]

The Kubfu's eyes light up, as he flips into the air, landing and ready to go, bouncing on his feet, as he stares towards their potential opponent.

Slumped over a chair, this tournament was getting exhausting. Law was still raring to go, wanting more experience, more fights. He took every loss as a means to do more workouts, now at forty pounds on his little Kubfu body. Ashley can't believe just a year ago, he went to the gym a lot too.[break][break]

Yeesh.[break][break]

With a sigh, Ashley enjoyed his warm coffee, when Law spotted a passerby on the streets. This was their angle, streetside brawls. But as the little Kubfu lets go of the weights, he races up towards them, waving. Ashley, not forced into this position, gets up and uses his cane to steady himself.[break][break]

"Hey... you up for a battle? You don't have to, if you don't want to. Law just has been loving the thrill of battle." The Kubfu's eyes are starry, as his sheepish trainer is trying to reign in the reality of the situation. He just wanted to enjoy his coffee.[break][break]

That COUNTER was able to rocket Raikiri back into the bounce, and the bear would bounce quietly on his legs, rolling his neck, and standing in stance. Only watching the Zeraora bounce away via PLASMA PAWS. A move to change trajectory? Fine. Law would play that game! Racing forward, he comes through with DETECT, running low to the ground, to try and volleyball the Zeraora back to the air.[break][break]

Not the brightest move, but Ash just smiles at Law. What a good little guy.[break][break]

And... then it was over. Law stands unconscious, stance at the ready. He couldn't make it. He failed Ashley. The little bear was crying, because the pain was too much.[break][break]

When Ashley came over, limping, all the same, he would move to cradle the little Kubfu, teary-eyed, as the little bear began to cry. and all Ash can do is smile.[break][break]

"You did your best, Law. You brought down the Law, dude." Letting the bear cry, he would turn up his head to Cian.[break][break]

"True dat. Thanks for the fight, guy." Holding up a thumbs up, so does the Kubfu.[break][break]

Ash can feel it again. The want, the need to be strong. The pulling. He's smiling. It's so mismatched on his traumatized face. The Froakie's offense was so powerful. There was nothing left but the hellish offense left. And so, Ashley calls out, excitement boiling his blood.[break][break]

"Lay down the Law, buddy!" Fire burns in Law's little eyes, and he goes faster, faster, faster and faster, each slap of his paw-fists goes forward, to strike at the LICKs. This ends one of two ways.[break][break]

One of them, was going to be on the floor. With Law's CLOSE COMBAT forced to become AERIAL ACE strikes to keep the damage going! He had to match him. He had to go beyond![break][break]

Oh yeah, time for a street fight. Today's match? Big, big ol' Charizard. Law was still miffed by his duel against that one woman's Eevee (illeana reyes), so today he was making up for his failure. He's coming at this dragon with intent to win.[break][break]

Sheepish now, Ashley sighs, grabbing at his face and nodding. "Alright then... Law, get ready to lay it down for 'em."[break][break]

Law, leaping upwards, a spin in the air, he lands, preparing his stance. A back stance, paws outstretched, legs apart. The Kubfu smirks at the Charizard. Even if Ash wasn't feeling it, he'll relight that fighting spirit. This road was the perfect way! A street fight![break][break]

The moment the fight begins, it's a split-second stomp into the road with a FOCUS ENERGY, a leap forward to the air, and a downwards divekick in one helluva AERIAL ACE![break][break]

Law made one push. But no matter how hard he pushes, the Kubfu cannot handle to reach the heavens. The moment each paw fist comes out, he can feel himself buckling under his own damage. The Kubfu falling to a knee.[break][break]

One point left. He can't possibly lose. He'll prove himself, he'll take this QUICK ATTACK head-on. As he throws his paw-fists upwards, he can feel the energy leave him.[break][break]

The smack away and into the ground takes him so off guard, that without proper footing, the Kubfu is flung backwards. Sliding with friction burning on his paw pads, as he stands there, having taken the strike, and still standing.[break][break]

Unconscious.[break][break]

Ashley's eyes look out... and with a sigh, he moves forward to scoop up the Kubfu. This goliath was not a wall they could surpass. Not today.[break][break]

As he calls out, picking up Law like a baby, Ash smiles.[break][break]

"Good fight... I look forward to seeing you again."[break][break]

Punches galore, the Kubfu screams loudly as he throws every paw punch forward to make sure he keeps slamming forward, taking each step towards the ever-growing foe ahead of him. The Kubfu smiles, seeing the Pikachu giving him everything he had, and all the bear can do is keep it going.[break][break]

The IRON TAIL comes down, and Ashley calls it out last minute.[break][break]

"Counter!" He'll take this strike, and fire every last ounce of damage back. The winner of this duel is the one whose left standing, and the little fighting bear screams loudly, as he prepares the COUNTER in response.[break][break]
