He didn't think his chance would come so soon already. He had seen this gang before but they never bothered Noel so he left them to their own devices as long as they didn't cross paths with him. But now through Navy's request he would have to interact with them for the first time.[break][break]

The thought of taking to the skies when he had never done so before unnerved Noel. He thought it'd be best to stay on the ground where he was most comfortable, plus it would allow him to get up close and personal against the gang which was more his style.[break][break]

"I think I'll take your Arcanine out for a ride... But what is you want me to do exactly? Just scare them off or did you have more in mind?"[break][break]

Noel wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty against the biker gang. Especially with the help of Navy who he could rely on in case things went out of hand. However he knew better now than to underestimate anyone, he would treat this as if his life depended on it and in a way it did. If he failed here he was sure there would be no second chances. He would have to prove himself here and now to Navy and to the League. He thought to himself what the best course of action would be depending on Navy's response.[break][break]

Noel was in a deep slumber, what felt like an endless night was really only a few hours. The thoughts of the battle that caused his ounds played on repeat in his head. Over and over for what felt like an eternity was he forced to relive that moment as if it was a punishment his brain had given him. On the outside he was giving off a face as if he was in great pain, sweating profusely while mumbling in his sleep.[break][break]

He had no idea that someone was treating him, he couldn't feel anything at all other than the shame his mind had placed on him. He was trying his best to wake up but to no avail. He had no strength left in his body and it seemed like this was the state he would be left in for his whole life.[break][break]

Hours later after almost all his wounds had been treated, Noel's eyes finally began to open up. With his regained consciousness he sits up from the table, a loud gasp escaping from his mouth and his hand placed on his chest, his heart was beating madly as he thought he was in the afterlife for just one moment. He looks around to see the doctor who had been treating him along with his surroundings.[break][break]

"Who...who are you? Where... am I?"[break][break]

There were so many questions that came to mind but he didn't have the breath to say them just yet. Little by little he had woken up in a daze and was now completely confused, he couldn't tell if the person in front of him would be a friend or foe.[break][break]

Rowlet dreaded this day to come. Why was it chosen to complete this job when any of the other Pokemon were better suited for it? Grudgingly it began to walk onto the beach, staring over the Pyukumuku infested beach that was just littered all over with them. It didn't want to touch them, it didn't even want to get near them, but it knew that there was no getting around this and its hand was being forced to do this job.[break][break]

It readies itself, aiming for the nearest Pyukumuku in its sights. It began to take flight, soaring over the beach with only one thing set in its vision. It Plucks the poor Pyukumuku, that was minding its own business, with its beak, right off the ground and lifts it up into the sky. It sets out towards the ocean and after a short while, drops it off sending it crashing down against the water, not caring if it had damaged it or not.[break][break]

Rowlet then lands back onto the beach, admiring the ocean view from its job well done. It felt triumphant, winning against its fear of other Pokemon, it felt like it could do anything in the world. That was until the small Rowlet turns around, remembering that there were plenty more where that Pokemon came from. It lets out a sigh in despair, ready to start the process all over again.

Her description of herself along with her music flew over Noel's head. He didn't know the first thing about music and although he might disappoint Desiree by not knowing she is was he thought it would be best to be honest with each other and speak from the heart.[break][break]

"I'm... very sorry Miss Desiree but I've never heard of any of those things. I don't really listen to music but if what you say is true then it sounds like you've got yourself a good business going on."[break][break]

The Electric Daisy Princess. Noel would have to remember that for the future. After their time together he would make sure to stop by the nearest store and see if they have anything of hers. He had no idea what electronic synth was but he assumed it to be good music with how warm and welcoming she was.[break][break]

And well... no I don't do this for a living. I actually just travel the region and am on my way to collect gym badges, that's my goal although its not as grand as what you're currently doing I bet."[break][break]

With both Desiree's cooler and Noel's raft being filled to the brim with the fish Pokemon they desired, Druddigon goes back to relaxing against their boat. With amazing speed Frogadier would continue to rack up the fish count, Smacking Down each fish as a way to test its own reflexes.[break][break]

Elise's mannerisms intrigued Noel. He wanted to ask her where she came from but decided against it as he feared prying too much into someone's life was too rude. For now he would accompany the very noble-like lady. A new training partner was rare for Noel, he usually spends his days alone with only his Pokemon to aid him. The thought of seeing a brand new person and how they interact with their own Pokemon excited him.[break][break]

"Well then follow me, its not too far from here and the walk to it is easy on the body"[break][break]

Noel along with his Pokemon began to walk forward ahead of Elise towards the direction of the beach. He would glance back to make sure she was keeping up and not getting lost, he wouldn't want to lose track of this new friend he had just met. During the entire walk he thought of ways they could train together, he didn't want to do anything to difficult for her but it was hard to judge her strength by appearance alone, all these thoughts faded away when they finally arrived at the beach, mostly empty save for a few but as beautiful as ever.

Noel was still a bit hesitant to accept Navy's help or to follow his orders. But he knew this was the only way forward to achieving his goals. For now he would do anything Navy would ask of him in hopes of getting on his good side. He didn't want to squander this chance he was given and began to follow right behind Navy.[break][break]

"All right Navy I'll trust you... Its not like I can do much else now."[break][break]

Noel wondered what awaited him. Relaxation was the least of his worries right now but he had no choice. All he wanted to do was fight. All he wanted to be was the hero. For people to rely on him and to notice his strength. Because to him strength meant all, it was by far the one thing he valued the most, but quite possibly to a detriment. And by joining the League perhaps he could find people that had the same mindset, to be the best.

Before responding Noel takes a quick sip of his wine. He brings the glass up to his lips and after letting out a satisfied "Ahh..." He places the wine glass back down onto the table and continues his conversation with the friendly lady.[break][break]

"Well you see... I'm on a bit of a mission. I'm on the hunt for members of the organization Rocket and was told I'd be able to find some in this city. But so far no luck. I wouldn't suppose you know anything about them do you miss?"[break][break]

Perhaps he shouldn't be saying this out loud, even more to someone he only just met. But he was completely oblivious on the matters of subtlety. He would never think that any person he met could be a member of Rocket, he only assumed finding out who they are would be pretty obvious based on reports of their activities. He looks into Camellia's eyes with an innocent stare, hopefully his luck would turn up and he could find a lead here.[break][break]

Another defeat. Noel lets out a scream as he feels the Lycanroc's claw dig into his chest. Blood gushing out as he falls forward, his body lumping onto the ground, his view of Cillian walking away from his easy victory being the last thing he sees.[break][break]

"Wait, get back here... We're not... done yet..."[break][break]

His last words weren't even audible. There was no way for Noel to continue this battle. His blood was pooling all around him as his consciousness began to fade. Where did he go wrong? Surely he could have dealt with any normal trainer he faced but this one was different. There were far larger predators out in the world that he was not prepared to deal with. His mind races for anything to keep his body awake but to no avail. His head loses focus and his eyes close, he was now just a body laying on the side of the road.[break][break]

"My name is Noel Parker. Its nice meeting you Lam. I'm not from around here at all, I'm originally from Dewford Town but I'm on a bit of a journey you see."[break][break]

Noel reaches out to accept the welcoming handshake from the young man. He grips onto Lam's hand and gives it a firm shake with perhaps too much force, unintentional however. He gives off a warm smile to Lam and lets go of the physical greeting.[break][break]

"Would you like any assistance Lam? Based on earlier it looks like you could use the help."[break][break]

His tone was blunt and to the point. He wouldn't mind helping out the newly met stranger as it would give him something to do in this town he arrived in not too long ago. In the background behind Noel, his Pokemon were busy cleaning out the beach already. Some of them either chasing off more Krabby or killing them on the spot, perhaps creating more work for the two trainers but Noel didn't notice.[break][break]

Noel accepts the pen and paper, glancing over the form quickly. He fills out the basic information and proceeds to think on what he should put down for his strengths. After some thought he begins to write down what he thought would be correct, making sure to mention his battle prowess and his mindset to always strive to better himself. His handwriting was sloppy but he hoped that wouldn't deter whoever would look over this application from accepting him. He finishes up the last details in the form and lifts his head back up towards Navy, returning the pen and paper back to him and asks.[break][break]

"So what happens now? What's the next step?"[break][break]

His voice had a eager tone to it. He wanted action now. Any sort of wait would leave him restless and wanting. Hearing how there was a whole other region where battling was the norm excited him and he would keep that in his mind for later.

After a brief pause, taking everything that Navy had said and pondering on his words, Noel speaks up.[break][break]

"I...I've decided... I'm going to join the League."[break][break]

Noel stands up from the bench, turning around to face Navy, passion burning in his eyes with a newfound goal. It was clear he set his mind towards this with not really much thought or asking of how the League functions nor its duties. But to him it didn't matter, it was just a means for his lust for power. And if it could help him attain such a thing then he'd try and use the League to his advantage as much as he could.[break][break]

"Show me how, please. I don't care how long it takes or what I have to do. If it means I can protect the ones I care about then I'll gladly join."[break][break]

He wouldn't take no for an answer. Even if Navy denied his request, Noel would leave the island very soon to find his own way to join the League or to train his strength and battle ability more, so that he could one day defeat the one who started this all. With selfishness and envy taking control of his mind, a new spark was ignited inside him to set out on a journey.[break][break]

"Hmmm those are good questions... My memory is a bit hazy when I try to think so far back, but I do know that that one's been with me through thick and thin."[break][break]

He turns his head towards the sea, his Frogadier gracefully swimming along the ocean. He admired how free-spirited it was, they were like two peas in a pod together and he wouldn't have it any other way. Noel switches his gaze back towards Desiree and asks.[break][break]

"And what do you do for a living Desiree? I've never met anyone quite like you and you've got me interested, if you don't mind me asking that is."[break][break]

Ever so eager to learn more about the world and its people, Noel's question was genuine. He always loved hearing about the roles that each trainer takes and their day to day lives. It made him feel more at ease to know there were others like him, traveling and seeking their own path.[break][break]

His Eevee would be quick to jump at Desiree's hand, nuzzling against it for petting and affection. The Rowlet, however, would jump up to Noel's shoulder, perching upon it to find comfort with its trainer.

Noel motions over to his Druddigon with his hand, signaling it to come forward. Druddigon takes a few steps forward, towering over their new acquaintance and the puny Krabby. With a deep breath it turns it eyes down towards the small Pokemon who were trying to take a snip at Lam's feet. It gives off a Scary Face, frightening the Krabby, causing them to scuttle away and burrow themselves into the sand. [break][break]

"There you go, what caused you to be the target of such small Pokemon?"[break][break]

He asked not knowing at all who this stranger was. He had no knowledge of the names or faces of any of the gym leaders he wished to face. He simply flowed with the wind, letting it take him wherever he pleased, only following the direction of a town or city that a gym would lie. But for now he would act friendly with the man in front of him, as he was always one to go for a good first impression.[break][break]
