As Camellia got ready for their session to begin, a voice cut through the silence. She turned, an expressionless look on her face as she regarded the man who approached them.[break][break]

She almost wanted to laugh at his well wishes for their safety. However, the assassin held her tongue, instead forcing a smile onto her lips.[break][break]

"Yes, it will pose a good challenge for him. I chose this place with good reason," she explained.[break][break]

And she was confident her arsenal would handle any other threats with ease.[break][break]

"The Sinnoh region, though it evolved to appear as it's Hisuian variant. Strange, isn't it? It's as if we're looking in the past..."[break][break]

Camellia's eyes cut to the MUDSDALE that appeared, scraping its hoof against the ground angrily. She watched her TYPHLOSION growl, waiting to see how it would attack.[break][break]

Pink and purple fire balls glowed from Elias's body, thrown forward to attack the horse. It was a move she'd learned was only known by his type. INFERNAL PARADE. However, the MUDSDALE, though burned, was about to attack with a HIGH HORSEPOWER...[break][break]

"Cease!" A Poke ball was thrown forward in attempt to stop the attack.

A swarm of MEOWSCARADA. Little SPRIGATITO played around with their pollen puffs, lounging around and springing on them as if they were true cat toys.[break][break]

Camellia stood at the edge of the ground, her gaze examining the individuals captured by their so-called MAGIC.[break][break]

She smirked, laughing softly to herself before she joined the group to toss a Poke ball into the fray. To test her luck.[break][break]

There was a protesting noise from Camellia when Topher split from her side, feeling cold as the bed shifted with his missing weight. She clung to the sweatshirt, refusing to move for a moment longer until she rolled onto her side with a groan. It was then she could truly feel the sticky sweat and other gross sensations on her body that she sat up.[break][break]

"Why not share one with me?" she teased, slipping the sweatshirt on for warmth as she pressed her lips against his cheek.[break][break]

With a lingering glance, she walked away, going to the shower. Once it was warm enough, she stepped in, allowing herself to lose herself in her thoughts.[break][break]

Did she make the right decision, telling Topher her feelings? Was this an inevitable outcome? She couldn't help but wonder what could happen if she ever betrayed them — REVOCS. What would he do then? Hunt her down at Minuit's command to slaughter her?[break][break]

Or... would he come with her?[break][break]

Camellia's hands absentmindedly ran over her skin, almost unaware that her partner had slipped under the water behind her. She chuckled, humming and leaning against him while his hands rested around her waist. She tilted her head, pressing her temple against his while his chin sat upon her shoulder.[break][break]

Did she deserve this? Absolutely not. But she'd take whatever Topher would give her for as long as she could.[break][break]

Camellia worked a lather into her hair, brushing it through with her fingers. "I agree. But, work and play are two separate things. You and I both know that." She turned, giving him a look.[break][break]

"We can't give them any insight to our weaknesses. Comprend moi?" Her fingers reached up to push his hair back, slicking it against his head.

With a few fresh faces added to her roster, Camellia decided that it was time to put in some work and whip her team into shape. Her original trio, Anais, Marcel, and Maxime, were already used to the way she ran things.[break][break]

However, she had a new, fiery force to handle now. While she loved the challenge, she couldn't risk Elias ruining her plans on a mission.[break][break]

While she was still several inches taller, the HISUIAN TYPHLOSION was almost her height. Perhaps if it didn't slump over, it was stand over her.[break][break]

His comment took a turn that took Camellia by surprise. She burst into a small fit of laughter, holding her hands over her stomach as she nodded at his remark.[break][break]

"You know what? I like you. Feel free to stop by for a drink on me again," she said as he cleaned his wine glass, taking the PD he left for the bill.[break][break]

Even though he had some sort of agenda against her own group, it turned out her initial opinion of him was wrong. It was a pleasant surprise.[break][break]

The smell left something to be desired, but Camellia was partially used to it at this point. A flash of concern grew in her stomach as she watched him bite on the knife handle. She didn't know why...[break][break]
"De rein (it's nothing)," she responded, though she was unsure he'd understand her Kalosian tongue or not.[break][break]

The howling returned, and this time, Camellia was sure to be on the look out. She turned, tucking the knife back at her side as her LAMPENT floated away from Henri. The alpha MIGHTYENA appeared, and a wild smile appeared on her face.[break][break]

"Shall we finish this game?"[break][break]

With Henri's DECIDUEYE attacking with another SPIRIT SHACKLE, she took charge to attack. Luckily, Marcel was still hot from before, so his OVERHEAT didn't take long to charge as fire ignited around the pack.

Camellia was about to say that there was truly no need for him to thank her. After all, it was a simple fix, really. But, here came the man, running over with an outstretched hand. That he wiped on his pants. Had he been nervous about being stuck? Surely someone would have gotten him off the wall eventually.[break][break]

So, after a moment, she shook his hand. "Camellia. It truly wasn't a big deal. You don't—"[break][break]

But before she could finish speaking, this Sven character was running off again toward a vendor.[break][break]

"Qu'est-ce que j'ai fait (what have I done)..."[break][break]

The child crying was like nails on a chalkboard to her. Camellia was tempted to just walk away and disappear among the masses, to avoid handling that situation. However, the cotton candy he'd gotten was offered to the child, and soon enough, like a FIDOUGH, he was running back over.[break][break]

Camellia didn't really even like cotton candy...[break][break]

"You really don't have to treat me, really. It's not a big deal..." But there was a building feeling of pity in the pit of her stomach if she just turned away now. She sighed, taking it from him.[break][break]

Camellia had been offered many jobs, and she'd been asked to meet at many places to go over details regarding these jobs. However, she had to admit, she thought that it was probably a first she was meeting a client at the beach.[break][break]

Unlike the woman, the Kalosian assassin was not wearing swimwear. In fact, even though she was dressed in regular clothing to pass as a civilian, she still stuck out like a sore thumb on the sandy beach.[break][break]

The cabana awaited for her, and she walked to its opening, only to hear a hissing. Camellia held back a sneer, though she continued further in as she was invited.[break][break]

"Quite the meeting place, Miss Kubrick," she finally spoke, her arms crossed over her chest.

Camellia couldn't help but laugh softly at the gym leader's childlike manner. He seemed so obsessed with the ride, despite it being just that — a ride. Perhaps it was the thought of being on the beasts of legend themselves that made him want to come back again and again.[break][break]

Camellia merely sighed, refusing to answer. Instead, she began to walk, hoping her new company would get the message and start leading them toward the direction that she heard the sound.[break][break]

"We are in a place full of metal and gears. I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of metallic Pokemon that doesn't have a life-like sound," she said simply.[break][break]

Her RUNERIGUS spared Nikola's Pokemon one glance before Camellia decided to pull it back in her Poke ball, replacing it with her floating LAMPENT. It was silent as it floated beside her, only casting shadows from the fire in its glass skull.[break][break]
