[attr="class","mthread"]the club is suffocating, but its heated, sweat-soaked air gives rise to marcel's own mirage. he catches sight of the girls before they reach them, and wonders if eva had noticed too, and left them for it. he wouldn't have blamed her, to tell the truth.

"ha!" he laughs, "looks like we struck lucky, right lads?" he takes native accent of his fellow rockets and dulls it, relaxes it, for his own persona. if there was a cover they could adjust to match, this would be the easiest.
[break][break]besides, outsiders made waves--if his contact was going to be a pain about staying hidden, marcel was going to make sure their presence was known. if they couldn't find him, he'd be lured out, eventually.

he knows all the cues. takes her hand when she holds it out, then her waist when they're on the dance floor. laughs at the right moments, smiles when he can't make out her words. she leans in and, at the last moment, he draws back. "we have all night," he says: teasing, avoiding. "why don't we dance some more?" it seems to work.

eventually, enough time has passed to bring up a break, and drinks. they move towards the bar, marcel keeping close tabs on eva on the opposite side.

[attr="class","mthread"]the eyes are drawn to movement; giada is aware of that much. his gaze follows the line of her neck, its slope into the shoulder--back to the eyes in time for her question. suntanning had never been his kind of thing, but he can't help but feel jealous of giada who, evidently, is not working like him.

the can in his hand drips onto the sand. his golduck zeroes in on the droplet, though remains dutifully by its trainer's side. "sunscreen? no." he tilts his head, grins. "but you can have this if you want." marcel holds out the unopened iced coffee. he could pick up another on his way out.

his hand moves to adjust his tie, brushing his collarbone instead. the leafed shirt and short combination isn't too much of a change from his usual wear, but its enough to make him second guess his reflection when he does catch sight of it.

he taps his pocket, causing his rotom (and the phone it made its home) to float out. "i'm here to tell you about your next job."

marcel has his arms folded atop the railing, eyes trained on the horizon. as strange as it felt being out of his suit, the hawaiian shirt--white and blue, like a wingull--and cargo shorts he currently dons are far more appropriate for the weather. vega alternates between sweeping across the ocean and perching herself on deck; she seems to be having a far better time than him.

a venonat clutches onto his metagross by its fangs, trying to drain the life from it. the steel-type makes a sound of what can only be described as annoyance before shaking its arm, flinging the pokemon to the ground. marcel throws a pokeball, which rolls towards a small grave marker. part of him doesn't want to get too near.
