"slateport's good. central." a bit too busy for him, at times, but the fact he didn't live there meant little when marcel spent most of his time working. "so are bars. hopefully it won't be long to get you off the ground." success for caprice would benefit marcel too--he naturally assumed they'd be revisiting their old arrangement now they were in the same region again.

"i'm going to hold you to that." he replies to emma a few beats late, having gotten caught up in his emails (and trying to force himself not to read into her words too much), "i'll send the details over once i've got it figured out."

a linoone crosses his vision. marcel gestures to it, sending his sylveon running again. the wild pokemon's sheer speed makes for a tricky hitbox, but a well-timed HYPER VOICE means aim is not a problem. taking advantage of its hitstun, amour plants a DRAINING KISS on its forehead. marcel throws the pokeball shortly after.

[attr="class","mthread"]"got it." as oscar moves back, marcel motions for his pokemon to fill the gap he'd left. his umbreon shoots off another DARK PULSE while his hydreigon lashes at the shadows with DRAGON RAGE. his bisharp cuts through a mismagius with NIGHT SLASH, the pokemon breaking into purple wisps.

as the battle presses on, his umbreon uses MOONLIGHT to recharge itself. the light manages to scare off some of their less determined attackers. soon, though, marcel has gotten rid off all threats on his side.

'chaser' ♀ infiltrator / bite, air slash, dragon pulse, flamethrower, iron tail, moonlight

[attr="class","mthread"][attr="class","rocket"]vega falters as the screech comes. though she's not the intended target, her sensitive ears make for a disadvantage in this particular moment of time. thankfully, he's trained her well--the noivern quickly recovers, catching up to their partner.

several riders and their pokemon fall from the sky, and marcel knows they've found their target. the woman in question is relentless in her pursuit, dashing her opponents from the sky, and making life just as hard for her competitors on the ground. "quick," he taps his pocket, "get a picture." his phone comes to life as his rotom takes over, floating from his pocket just high enough to expose the camera.

trusting his rotom to handle the job, marcel focuses on the race. "full speed, chaser," he commands as he grips tighter onto the noivern. his pokemon lets out a determined cry as she pushes forward with a sudden rush of speed. a FLAMETHROWER bursts from her mouth towards the final cluster of racers before her.
