Just as thoughts of ARCEUS begin to fill his mind, however, a blaring alarm and a violent quake interrupt his sight-seeing.[break][break]

And, when he turns around to regard Paxton, Remiel Calcifet is seized by a giant 'hand' that crashes through the ceiling to reach him.[break][break]

The sound of gentle waves lapping up onto the shore grace his ears first. When he opens his eyes, Remiel finds himself in the AKALA OUTSKIRTS of ALOLA. A place he's been to before... though still, seemingly, unfamiliar in some way.[break][break]

In the distance he spots a XATU staring down at him from a ridge, its wings spread wide open. A VISION of the FUTURE enters his mind then:[break][break]

A world engulfed in an endless black storm. Spears of plasma erupt from the earth like thorns. Remiel Calcifet crucified as the mysterious silhouette of a WORLD-EATING DRAGON emerges from the cosmos.

The royal emerges from this vision in a shudder, gasping for breath as he falls backward. He can't comprehend what that was. He refuses to believe it was real. When he looks around for his companion in this simulated endeavor, however, hoping to find some solace, he instead finds no one.[break][break]

"... Kazimir?"

Something stirs in the dark. The terrible sense of foreboding doesn't leave. It infects the ancient hallway they reside in even further. Every sense at his disposal screams at Remiel to leave unlike anything else before. And, before long, he finds himself scrambling to run away.[break][break]

"O-Ollie! Let's go!"

He urges his companion as their footsteps echo throughout. The next hallway they find themselves in, however, doesn't seem to have an end. In fact, it seems to grow longer with each step they take, until eventually there is no end in sight.[break][break]

Despite the adrenaline rush, Remiel manages to decipher the symbols on the wall as they run past it. The more there is, the less you see.
It repeats on and on. He can't make any sense of it right now.[break][break]

Eventually, however, the ground crumbles beneath their feet and they fall into the darkness below. A mercy, as far as the archaeologist is concerned.[break][break]

"Oh, great. We've only managed to anger it even more." The royal mutters, as he points upward. "Alexei, take the lead with TORNADUS! Foucault, support with a WISH!" He commands as the vengeful god before them attacks with an UPROAR.[break][break]

They manage to pull the SHIELD free from the stone with one firm yank. As a result, however, the stone itself fragments into pieces before splitting apart, revealing the ZAMAZENTA that was once in slumber within it. It regards them both with a look and then bows its head.[break][break]

"ZAMAZENTA humbly asks for the shield we've pulled out," Remiel remarks, shifting his gaze onto Evette. "We should hand it over. If the legends are true, it will assume its regal form." He'd grown up with these legends. His father used to read them to him when he'd been a child.[break][break]

Remiel couldn't have imagined that, someday— even if only in a simulation— he would participate in those legends. However, as soon as they hand the shield over and watch ZAMAZENTA transform, the crown prince is instilled with a great sense of determination. Together they face off against ETERNATUS, with an ARCHALUDON shielding the fleeing citizenry with a LIGHT SCREEN.[break][break]

"Take cover behind ZAMAZENTA!" The royal warns Evette as ETERNATUS aims a beam at them.[break][break]

Remiel nearly forgets to heed Shalin's warning when he sets his eyes upon her KOMMO-O. As its scales begin to vibrate, the royal is quick to seal his ears shut with his hands. Only afterward does he witness the powerful AURA surrounding the opposing KORAIDON dissipate.[break][break]

But the COLLISION COURSE between the two ancient titans is inevitable. When they do clash, it soon becomes clear which of the two boasts a higher physical strength. Their KORAIDON is soon slammed onto the floor, casting a cloud of dust and feathers into the sky. As it endures an OUTRAGE, however, a sparkling WISH streaks over them.[break][break]

Their KORAIDON is granted a healing boon, gathering just enough strength to issue a powerful DRAIN PUNCH at point-blank range. And, not long after that, the battle ends with a victory in its favor. Weakly, it limps back towards them, leaving its opponent body in the dust.[break][break]

Though nothing came of it but a tightening of his collar, he soon realizes that the UNDERBOSS was likely as powerless as he was in this cell.[break][break]

But, rather than lunge at the man and strangle him, Remiel, too, shifts a wary look at the passing MEGALOPOLAN guard. When the guard disappears from view again, he carefully scoots towards the edge of his cot and plants his sandaled feet on the ground. "Killing each other in this cell goes against their purpose for jailing us. It stands to reason that attempting to do so would only end badly, but don't think for a second we're allies again, Quinn."
