"That you'd presume as much when the dragon of IDEALS continues to stand beside me is laughable," The AVATAR snorts, casting the GENESECT's arms down like trash. "Yet I remain here, in HOENN, fighting against you lot when I could have retreated into the comforts of a palace instead." He adds, stepping back as the cyborg is recalled into its ball.[break][break]

As is lifted into the air, the royal forms another LIGHTNING BOLT in his hand before pointing it upward at him. "That alone is a testament to how wrong you are, Mint. Yet you and so many others choose to so desperately cling to your fantasized misconceptions of me. None of you know the real me. Take that ridiculous mask off and open your damn eyes."[break][break]

Sensing Remiel's will, Zekrom casts the BEAST toward the DYNA TREE with its PSYCHIC power. The crack of bone against wood precedes the LIGHTNING STILETTO that casts itself just inches away from Mint's head. Then, in an instant, Remiel is crouched beside the younger man's slumped body, grabbing his collar roughly with one hand.[break][break]

It is the end of a chapter here for Remiel— though he couldn't exactly live on these grounds anymore if he wanted to either. With the adrenaline and anger pumping through his veins at the current moment, however, he spared little room for sadness or regret toward the destruction.[break][break]

Though, thankfully, XERNEAS puts an end to the conflict moments later. Remiel stays on edge as he watches angrily protest, but ZEKROM matches the LIFE Pokémon's energy and stands down as its turbine cools. With the LEAGUE reinforcements soon to arrive, having seen the blast from miles away, this was a wise decision.[break][break]

"Where would you be if not for them?" The sacred stag asks.

And, casting a somewhat disgusted look at the state found himself in, Remiel glares. "That's simple: I'd be better off." He sternly declares, the glow of fire light surrounding his silhouette like a cloak as he points them off.[break][break]

"Kindness is not something I seek from the likes of a god who has lost its path. Now go and take your mad vassal with you before I'm forced to continue this. It is the last mercy and his like will see from me."[break][break]

He had not expected to chastise or make a personal enemy of a god today, but his disappointment exceeded his fear. Not all legendaries were infallible: Remiel knew this. But the embodiment of LIFE did not belong on the side of those who so flippantly eliminated it. What reason could XERNEAS have?[break][break]

A flash of light and the world around them suddenly disappears. However, they enter what seems to be a blank white void for a moment before another world takes its place. The smell of delicious festival food enters their nostrils first, followed by the gradually increasing din of laughter and conversation. Electricity snarls and sparks off of like a Tesla tower. Any shred of sympathy or hope he had for Mint had died in the ice and snow some time ago. He was, after all, a BEAST. And, frankly, the last one he had tried to convince to defect had worn out his patience for them. had to thank for what was to come.[break][break]

Neon blue eyes narrow as he notices a tinge of madness in the other's eyes. Was he seeing something that wasn't there? He certainly looked worse for wear. But it was no matter. If anything, it only meant that putting him down would be a mercy. Alive or dead: he'd leave that up to Mint, his body's endurance, and the same 'fate' that had chosen to link them together in the first place.[break][break]

At first, the X-SCISSOR seems to strike its mark. Chunks of earth are torn up in the attack, but no blood or flesh rains down afterward to announce the death of either. Thunder growls loudly above the moment this happens. Then, in an instant, Remiel appears above the GENESECT, casting one of two LIGHTNING BOLT's downward to try and immobilize it before landing upon it.[break][break]

The impact ignites the area with a brilliant FLASH that rips away the shadow cast by the DYNA TREE for a brief moment. In its wake, the BLACK YIN's turbine tail has only been stirred on further.
