“Oh my yeah yeah yeah I’m coming!” Billi yelled out as he ran holding the bag. His hand covering the hole trying to prevent the water from flowing out. Even though the water level was rapidly decreasing and it’s life line was at risk, the magikarp still found it funny! “What’s so funny!? You’ll die if you don’t get to water,” still...it laughed until Billi tripped, landing against Zac, pulled at the kimono, trying to hold himself up, making a wardrobe malfunction as the Magikarp flew out and blopped into the water.

Billi listened to the boy, and his warming story, and it made him feel guilty, yet lucky. Back home, his mother loved him for everything he was, and Spikemouth was always very rebellious so the gays were welcomed there. But...he understood not belonging because well..his mother was an activist against the gangs and drugs, a gym leader, AND a rocker. Sadly...the tabloids said that was what would ultimately kill her. It was sad…[break][break]

“I feel that….I got lucky! My mom always loved me. And I never felt the need to come out to anyone. She always just encouraged me to be myself, and supported my growth….like all moms should. And when I stumbled she kissed the wounds and send me on my way…..but I’m a pushover….something she said is the weakness of a large heart,”[break][break]

It was true, just like his momma he loved everyone too much and trusted too much. “lucky you had someone to care for you...and help you! Back In Galar I lost everything and I only had my pokemon. “

The drag mom was adamant on making Billi open his, so he did, nice and slow. “Oh….it’s so nice!” he opened the kit, and his eyes started to well up with some tears in his eyes. “Thank you!” he hugged the man because he loved the heart felt gift! Even if it wasn’t the highest quality, it was perfect, and works for any projects! And it even had more tools, and Alexei even themed the bag to match his buggies. Wiping off his tears from his face, “I love it,” normally...he wasn’t used to getting gifts from others, he was used to being the giver.[break][break]

“I….also..” he took a deep breath to stop the ugly crying as he moved to pet his snom who sneezed, and then hold Majora in his arms hugging him instead. “Was...offered the Gym Leader Position in Petalburg.” he mentioned. “And...I don’t know if I should take it!” he frowned, “I’m worried….and I love my home,” he motioned towards the home he built from nothing.

The power of a sense, that you know another gym leader that entered your gym meant a lot. It was always intense because it became who was the better gym leader. “ooh Maverick is coming?” he asked himself as he got word of the interaction. Luckily he had met the man before, and he was friendly, if anything a little standoffish? At least that was the vibe he got, but friendly nonetheless.[break][break]

“Oh hi!” he waved as the man finally entered the stadium sized gym, that was...you know far too large for its own damn good. “So you wanna battle right?” Billi’s cheeks puffed up, as he stood in his leggings, and loose tank theme after his rotom. “You can choose any of my three pokemon with the same maturity as the three you’re using!”

“Yeah sure...I have time!” Billi mentioned over the phone to Alexei, the drag mother, his drag mother, and his drag idol. So it was nice when he got ahold of Alexei to come over and help him fix this person's self image of themselves. A burn lined the boy's face, or maybe it was a birthmark? Billi didn’t ask, nor did he honestly care to ask because he understood the pain they felt within their own body.[break][break]

“Yeah he’s excited. He’s only fifteen but was at pride last year apparently and it made him happy. And I figured I’d set it up for him! He can’t challenge my gym yet because he doesn’t have a pokemon, but...you know he was happy to participate regardless,” Billi mentioned before hearing Alexei’s voice on the other side of the door, “HI MAMA” Billi grinned as the door open up! “He’s inside!”

Was it confidence...or just over compensation? Well. Billi would say he had confidence in all his pokemon to battle whoever came along to try and challenge him for his badge. Not that he enjoyed battles because he really didn’t think they were all that fun, and often concerned him for the well being of the pokemon. But alas pokemon enjoyed a good strong battle, and his were no different.[break][break]

Standing at the train station as the sun set above them, shimmering in raws and hues of pink from the broken ceiling above. “Welcome to Petalburg! And my gym! Sorry for the chaos! It’s been busy!” he apologized for the lengthy wait on some challenges, considering the city thought they were….well...they thought Billi incapable, even if the government saw differently in the Lilycove Raid.[break][break]

“SO! You get to take your pick of the bugs you see here! Just make sure they match up to the same maturity of your own. Afterall we don’t want adults curb stomping kids!” he laughed.

Razzberry zapped to Billi’s side, spinning with joy as it announced the next challenger that managed to weave their way in! “Wow!” Billi smiled the Rotom zipped back into his phone and looked at them. It was friendly, and Billi was dressed in ….well overalls and his wide brimmed hat made from the soft fibres from a pollen puff. With his body facing the challenger, and his colony hard at work, he thought to himself about how he should bring up the challenge.[break][break]

Taking a moment to admire the cookies, he noticed the combee shape and took a picture with Razzberry as his cellphone. “Wow….you made these huh! I don’t wanna eat them they’re sooo cute! “Oh that is just some of my fabrics from my new buggies! The Leavany go and collect them, spin them, weave them, and give it to the Durant you just met and she brings them here, and then I make my clothes and stuff. Some drag some not, but this is my drag closet so yeah!” His brow raised once, “So did you wanna try my new challenge idea! It’s a drag one! Basically gotta dress up in full drag and make your garment from...uuuhh your favorite pokemon!”

Sarcasm….why….why did this kid have to be a brat. And yet the gengar matched this child perfectly….Blue eyes ignored the other’s presence briefly as Billi moved his araquanid inside, “Quick,” he ordered telling it put out the flames faster, as it’s aqua ring soaked the inside of the building, preventing further damage inside. “Don’t be rude to people,” Billi turned to the boy, and bit back every mean thing he wanted to say.[break][berak]

“Don’t be giving your pokemon a bad name because you want to act nasty. Never a good idea!” he tried scolding again...but even so it seemed to be a waste of his breath. “Now he’s tired cuz you forced the shell to bite it.” he quickly released his Volcarona which were known to be an extremely dangerous fire type, “Whirlwind,” he smiled as it cast the swirling of wind with it’s six wings, gatching the smoke and sending it up into the atmosphere to prevent immediate damage, and just hoped it would help it rain in the area.[break][break]

It was only noon….and it was a weekend! Normally he had his gym closed for normal challenges. There would be no battles on this day and it was going to be a designing day! Clothes and the like, all being made in Billi’s side building to the left of the gym, which used to be a train car that he had repurposed into a dressing room/ work room for himself. There was enough room to hold his materials and his leveany to sit in with him to help.[break][break]

Taking a deeper breath as he sorted through his makeup brushes and fabrics. “Hmmmm” he thought as his hand shook, before the door of his dressing room was banged on. Upon opening it he found his durant carrying someone to his door, dropping them off then going back to hustle for some more fruit from the ladies garden down the street. “Oh HI friend! Sorry but the gym’s closed today,” he smiled, “but you can come in if you want,”

“Yet another day! So busy..” Billi looked out the door as wandering trainers from farther away passed the gym because it wasn’t well advertised. Oh well, maybe they shouldn’t have the badge if they couldn’t read an address or use a gps. OR even their pokemon to help them find the place. Even so….it would get boring if he stayed around here all day. From the centre tree in his web hammock made by his bug pokemon he watched as someone entered.

As few would expect, two Leavany escorted them inside, guiding them through the railroad path and around a couple of massive trees that could only be described as ancient. There Billi met the person, and his eyes lit up with who it was! “Hi Kyle” Billi’s smile peeled upward as he moved towards his friend. The bells on his belt buckle jingled as he moved forward to hug his friend. “I’m guessing you’re here to challenge me?”
