Kyle seemed off put by his hug but it was meant in a friendly way! He was assured the friend was just here to battle and talk, or challenge. But apparently it was also an inspection. Mainly questioning his trails. The one in question was Billi’s favorite! It changed lives, or at least he thought it was the best one for the community, the others were more so expressing their creativity in the sense of pokemon.[break][break]

“To make people happy. It kinda changes the lives of youth and inspires people. Which is what I think a champion should do! Inspire the masses. Not everything has to be solved with violence, and pokemon battling. Sometimes a connection can change the direction of history, don’t cha think Kyle?” Billi asked as his rotom crackled in the air.[break][break]

Taking in his breath as he backed up. “The others are creativity in the sense of how you gotta solve the problem. But the last one...well it’s how you express it,” the fresh air passed through Billi’s hair, “Do you think…..I’d forgive a Poipol if I couldn’t connect with it. Some things just transcend pen and paper.”

Maverick was the right gym leader to join in and battle, and it was a little intimidating! Many people have walked through these walls and didn’t concern Billi if they won or not. Now this battle was always something that would be whispered about, and people would label him as the pushover gym leader, which let’s face it he was! But he brought heart and soul to pokemon! A genuine connection and that was how he choose to live his life.[break][break]

“Oh okay! If that’s what you wanna do!” he raised his brow checking out his giant centiskorch. Just admiring it with his eyes, and gave a wide smile, “He’s a big boy!” the gender really didn’t matter and it took his professional side of his brain from preventing him from scratching it’s underbelly and giving it honey for a snack., “If you want that...then I can….”[break][break]

Turning around he allowed his eyes to find one of his pokemon. Looking up, he found him, floating around basking in the sunlight. “hEy come down here,” he waved as the Volcarona flew it’s way down, it’s wings shimmering with heatwaves as it came to the battle field. “So I’ll use a Volcarona! Seems fair. Fire vs Fire,” he nodded stepping back.[break][break]

“Any huge destructive moves aren’t allowed in doors okay?” he mentioned as he turned, “I hope you have fun in this battle,” he winked and stepped back as the buzzer went off. “Volcarona.” he paused, ”Whirlwind,” it spun the wind around itself keeping the wind currents moving swiftly to deter close combat.

Billi watched as the others stood there, staring with a judginess behind his eye, but Billi didn’t really care. To be honest there were no expectations from anyone besides being creative! Have fun! And just enjoy yourself! There was no way Billi could do that to people. After all Petalburg had very kind people from all walks of life, and hadn’t had a gym leader for some time.[break][break]

A spark of hope was what he wanted, but a battle was the default that was for sure! The other had selected Billi’s pokemon, and he nodded. “Oh fun!” he nodded whistling to his pokemon, who all slowly made their way back. As the bugs moved to Billi’s side he watched as the other choose his. “Oh their big boys!” he grinned and allowed the space between them.[break][break]

“So no structural damage to the building itself. Everything inside is fine. Moves like hyper beam and stuff will have to take this battle outside unless you’re confident in your pokemon other than that! Have fun!” the blonde allowed his little pokemon to remain standing by him. The Buzzer went off and the battle had begun! Leavany Swiftly moved to X-Scissor, powered up by it’s swarm ability, while the Dottlier set up an eerie, off putting light show creating a lightscreen, that protected the party. Syther quickly moved to the sky trying to slash the skarmory before it could get an advantage.

The blonde didn’t have any humor to give, because let’s be real! He was being one hundred percent genuine when he saw the queen herself. She frowned and looked downward, “I’ve been sick….so….I just wanted to..” he cried some, “Have….some fun...before I can’t anymore….I can’t walk anymore,” the tears ran down harder.

But, they mainly are just my companions.” rotom bezzurped while the corviknight flew overhead. “Additionally. The Corviknight can’t be battled. He really doesn’t enjoy battling, and has ptsd, so I fear he’d just attack you if he was put in that situation,”

Billi took a moment to breathe, and look down at other’s outfits which he enjoyed the colors of. Pink was always cute, but Billi could never do an outfit of all pink! It was far too much and it made him look cheap. “Man I can’t do all that pink on me I always look cheap.” the fabric though, was made from dustox and venomoth fibers that were made from their nests, so they had a soft touch, almost like a snuggly fuzzy blanket.[break][break]

“Okay!” he nodded thinking about doing a VIBRANT pink and purple eye moment, but not doing a smokey eye like he’d normally do with his big blonde brows, and blonde mascara to make his eyes POP but this wasn’t him, and he was painting someone else! So he figured he’d set up the brushes, and moved to dig through his foundation bag. “So many shades. I think you’re a clown white! Don’t you,” he wiped some on the mans face, “Yeah. clown white.” he gently kept going as the man worked.

Bells jingled at Billi’s waist signifying the game was about to begin as he slowly walked away. The broad back facing the man as the pokemon was freed from its confines. Truly...he didn’t think this man thought it was that easy to take the bells from the bug master. Blue eyes glanced back, “Not really many besides that you have to get the bells by sundown,” he grinned as he walked into a small train, “Oh…..any there’s no limits to pokemon you can use...just be aware the same applies to me,.” he paused peeking his head out of the window.[break][break]

“ALMOST forgot!” his voice quickly echoed as his face disappeared into the foliage. “You have to grab the bells with your own hand. All your pokemon can do is help you achieve your goal,” he waved from the other side of the tracks, which seemed to be a rather quick move.[break][break]

What route do you take? Just remember there are insects in unlikely places. Above glistens leaves webs stuck within the missing roofing. “Let the game BEGIN!” Billi’s Rotom Buzzed at the speakers with the loud horn echoing that the challenge has begun.

A handshake was a great way to be professional and Billi needed that at this time! After all, being a gym leader had a certain level of respect and professionalism! Being asked about his hand...was uncomfortable but he knew he could be asked, “Oh I injured it a while ago and it’s still healing! Sometimes it needs more support so bandaging it up helps it be stable,” he paused taking in his own words.[break][break]

“So my battle is a bit different. You get to pick the pokemon you’ll be challenging! It has to match the same stage as the ones you’re using!” he educated the girl who seemed...awkward? Whatever! Billi had enough friendly energy for an army and he could do this type of thing all day.

Ramiel!” Billi nodded, not really thinking too much on the topic of arriving unannounced. Not like he wasn’t modernizing things. He had an app telling when he was at the gym, his days off or a way to register for a set time for your challenge. Lately he has been doing challenges capable of giving the common person a chance at a badge, making even the most sad stay at home parent could feel good about winning a gym challenge.[break][break]

Then again..Billi was a very mature person. “Bad maybe wasn’t the right word. Just...comes off as Bratty,” he retorted crossing his arms, “You know he’s hardly scary as a Kyoger” he mentioned the fact that he had met one before.[break][break]

Billi seemed rather annoyed with the boy as the palossand came out. “You can’t ruin the shrine!” he scolded again but pulled out his pokemon. Daft fuck...well maybe that was true, but Billi took a deep breath, and glared at the boy, “mhmmm,” granted….the boy didn’t realize most likely that Billi was offered the gym leader position.[break][break]

Soon the Araquanid, returned out of the flames with a few people, dropping them off outside as the winds spun, sucking up some of the sand from the ghost pokemon.

And cutely enough Billi released his Yamper from his pokeball, and let the little pup gnaw on the rocks with a crunch, trying to eat them, "You can't eat that!" he mused and pet the dog, "We should be able to break through these stones like this.
