It was only be chance he encountered the Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir practicing their mental abilities as a horde.

With a Ralts, Kirlia and Gallade already in his roster he wasn't facing much loss if he came up empty.

Still he had an extra Premier Ball, so why not make a subtle capture attempt.

"If you think you might be risking your life under Cerebi's gifts." Back from under her shirt his hands found her shoulders and went about about a sensual grounding to knead out her stress and attune her focus on him. "I'll take that bet."

It was all evident in her own history and power, the pieces were all there.

"As a deity of time its my guess that Celebi knows your future, if your future is knowable. I'm of the opinion that if your life was on the line, if your destiny is to die for having this power Celebi would have told you. Why? Because knowing, you would still serve probably with more focus and dedication. It wouldn't have a reason not to tell you."

He took the concept of losing her quite seriously but this wasn't how it would happen. He had to stay vigilant against the real threats to what the two of them were building.

"What good would it do to reveal the details of the invasion?"

A slow staggering exit of the Jagged Pass marked the beginning of yet another soon-to-be memory of running the Fiery Path. Although today in particular, there would be no running.

His stroll was leisurely and once at the top of the Fiery Path he would be teleporting home; no return trip on foot.

Even the Heatran 'Twins' seemed to appreciate the declined pace of today's exercise.

It was a strange thing in a relationship to encounter a concept or thought so repulsive you couldn't help but react to it with the intent to surgically remove it from your existence.

Who would've thought the thrill-seeker couldn't stomach the idea of being left alone to pick up the pieces. If Cait died, from his point of view, she'd be taking the best parts of him with her. There wouldn't be enough left of him to be counted on.

Losing her to life was fine and what they both cautiously expected in the beginning. Losing her to death was a reality he rejected entirely.

Terawr shook his head with vigor to remove the ranger's hand acting as a make-shift Tyrunt muzzle.

Scurry about as they might the babies didn't seem to move too far from base. It was all 'home' they were safe regardless but seemingly they remembered innately to stay close to those that protected them.

Not to mention Happiny seemed to be CHARMING the lot of them so they stayed gathered around her more or less.

"Are you worried because you have actual symptoms or did you just let Fernando get in your head?"

Wherever the loose threaded thought of her own immediate demise came from, he intended to cut it short.

As a Ranger he encountered shiny pokémon more often than the average trainer. 'Pinkie' stuck out like a sore thumb struggling along the Jagged Pass all alone, the strong gusts made sand grains as pin pointed as micro-sized darts. Sénon was protected by layers of clothing and an established tolerance to pain.

The drowzee was just a baby.

She moved slow towards the wind because she didn't know any better, only that she was in pain in needed to find refuge. Game had merely been on his way to the Fiery Path for his weekly run when he heard her cries.

No matter how she wailed, no Drowzee nor Hypno came for her.

Her mother had either died or more likely, cast her aside because of her flesh-like shiny coloring, thinking her to be sickly and ill-fated.

It wasn't all bad though; she had a new mother and a new name and seemed to have taken to new her life quite well. For as long as he lived Sénon would never forget the look on Cait's face when he gave her the babe.

"By the time she's matured, you'll be doing this for human babies."

Tired of having to wrangle to his younger 'brothers and sisters' Terawr wandered over to the redhead and began to screech for attention and to be relieved of duty.

The sweat was nothing Xander had to apologize for, Sénon appreciated it all the same. The downward curl of his lips meant there was probably more going on with the young trainer than he knew.

The battle would be therapeutic for the both of them.

Jūken looked up to gaze at the eyes of his master, his leader. The one he trusted the most.

The Riolu knew they hadn't come all this way for nothing but he'd seen this human before and Sénon seemed interested in him. Like Adrian Malcolm and even Miss Cait it seemed all of Sénon's closest humans challenged him to battle.

"Traditional, Last Mon Standing?" The old way; tried, true, Kanto tested and approved. Two sides exhaust all resources until one side is unable to battle.

"or Point Per Round?" Isolated 1v1 Battles yields (1) one point to the victor; first to a set-point wins the match. A modern Hoenn alternative, less stressful and demanding of the pokémon.

The Ranger drummed his mind over the potential match ups and the Riolu stood-by.

Moving on, Sénon was barely able to notice the rear-end of a pokémon making its way down the path as his line made their way up.

It looked like it might have been a heatmor, not that he paid much mind to it.

Best to keep things moving before the Heatran got too curious.

Battling wild pokemon for the 'sport' of it wasn't in good taste to his morality buds. If he wasn't on a wild hunt pokémon weren't to be battled, merely observed and largely ignored.

He wasn't catching the heatmor so he let it go by.

Babysaur used Sleep Powder!

The sleeping powder seemed to have a greater range than before. Babysaur was growing and his potential was showing.

Maybe it was time he got a more matured name. Although he was still more or less the same size he was the day Sénon had found him on the fiery path.

SLEEP POWDER's particulates didn't permeate the ranger's outer shirt wrapped around his mouth and nose like a scarf.

He was only able to get it on just barely in time after holding his breath abruptly.

Staring down for a moment at the embarrassed bulbasaur his gaze broke away when he noticed an Ocorio fall from the branches above them, put to sleep by wayward powder.

Crimsen attempted to capture Oricorio!
