IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

a large group of skwovet are becoming sick from eating poisoned berries. the forest needs to be cleaned of its spilled poisons and sludge— however, until that can be done, take the berries away or nullify their effects with your pokemon![break][break][break]

Lillian shouts at her Heatmor as its eyes wander away from the burned remains of the latest batch of berries and to the Skwovet now free of their danger. The fire-type has been a rough one to rein in since its capture. But it's learning. Her voice is enough to get it to begrudgingly shift its attention back where it belongs.

"Again, Incinerate. Focus on the berries they've got in their hands and then the ones still hanging," she orders in a sterner voice than she's usually wont to. The Heatmor snorts ash and smoke before obeying. It sprays INCINERATE like a hose, first over the hands of spectator Skwovet and then over the trees and bushes nearby. In moments the plants are all nothing but smoldering piles of ash.

"We're moving on, focus!"

The Heatmor leaves these Skwovet, too, to their devices as it follows its mistress deeper into the woods.

Poisoned Skwovet?[break][break]

Well, it was a shame Minaset couldn't eat them. But she could certainly bully them into giving up their berry caches. Especially when Master Remiel offered her a dried sardine for each poisoned berry she brought back. Now she downright COVETED these toxic treats.[break][break]

With all the stealth and predatory instinct natural to her species, the lavender cat hunted down these sick fools and uncovered their stashes. She would lead her master to these berries afterwards for retrieval, quicky snack on her sardines, then move on to the next. [break]

It's a rare enough move that Fernando has to actually call it out. His Porygon Z, one of many, lays down a field that prevents the wild Pokemon from feasting on the berries. It wont last forever but it only needs to last long enough for them to pilfer the poisoned food.

"Hm."

While the rangers handle the situation at hand, Fernando collects one of the berries for himself. Delicately, he handles it with extreme caution, fearful that it may burst at any time.

It was good that Razz left the other Ranger when he did. His phone chimed as work alerted him that more was going on. Even better here he could only help because of the little catching session he had with Ben. Calling out his new spider pokemon Galvantula the spider didn't seem to happy about obeying, though the offer of treats later on seem to convince it for now. The spider glaring at the Skwovet as it's UNNERVE gave off an aura that prevent the rodent pokemon from eating the poisonous berries. [break][break]

It was a special bit of slight of hand that allowed Toucannon to PLUCK the berries from the paws and maws of the skwovet.

With his long colorful beak and the steaming holes on each side, a simple showing of his wing span was the final push to startle or awe-strike the vermin mammals holding the poisonous berries.

He squawked and then he plucked and with a little pressure cooking inside his beak it fired the berries off superheated bullets where their charred remains scattered into ashes against the wind. "Keep at it Touca'. There's another group of them over there." With crossed arms he watched the bird work carefully, happy to practice its seed shooting anytime it could.

Luckily enough it seemed the species they were taking 'food' from weren't keen to put up a fight.

Wheeeeee! One by one, the effected berries were launched into the air, landing in a bin that Josh had set up nearby. His Chansey had been quite the thrower as a Happiny, and now the trend was going to continue with its evolution into Chansey. The berries were flung comically high, until they couldn't be seen anymore for a moment, before they came down, rocketing into the bin and shaking it with every hit. And with shocking accuracy, at that.
