"Heya! I'm having a new years party in my home if you're looking for a place to hang out for the midnight countdown! I'd love to see you there!" she wrote out in various text messages, copying and pasting them one after another as she sent out text after text to all the people who she became friends with this year. Attached to the message was an address to her home in Lilycove. It was a Spanish styled villa with an open courtyard that was decorated to the T with new years decorations and flowers!

Melody had also set up a wall with new years decorations and props for pictures for people to take, several party games, loud music playing and on top of that a wide variety of foods and snacks for people to try out!

This year despite all the drama and stress she's undergone she was still grateful for it all, she got to meet so many people and learn so many things so now that a chance to celebrate came around she eagerly took it and invited everyone she knew to her home to have fun! Plus she had to break in her new home! Sootopolis had gotten too dangerous even for her.

But that didn't matter! Tonight was going to be a great night! Right?

OOC note: Every guest is allowed to bring a +1! (fun way to introduce new characters to canons pog?)

Seeing as how rockets AND league are invited, if your character is a known rocket please expect consequences!

The mention of a party for New Year’s is enough, and he’s already gotten a couple interesting invites. But when he realized that the invite was from Melody Miro herself? He didn’t think they’d talked since the mess at the Soiree. Not that he could’ve gotten anything very coherent out of her after it. She’d been on edge, beyond flustered. And the stuff he’d seen? Over the past few months, he often returned to the visions with Melody and slowly but surely deciphered some meaning. He just….couldn’t tell how much of it was a dream or a memory. He jumped at the chance to visit her, hoping to check in. [break][break]

“Churra! Thanks for the invite!” the blonde called out, waving to the gym leader as he walked through her spacious home. He kissed her on both cheeks before holding up a present bag stuffed with a few heavy bottles. “I brought you, like, 3 bottles of pisco. In exchange, introduce me to your hot dancer friends.” He said as he flashed a grin before giving the pinkette a quick hug. “How’ve you been? No ne word answers.” He asked as he dropped his arms to his side and watched for the arriving guests.

Hideo hadn't expected to get a text from Melody Miro , let alone an invitation to a New Years Eve party. He didn't have any plans for that day, despite it being his first New Years away from home.

And truth be told, he didn't want to spend it alone. He'd been away from home for a while now, and while he appreciated the freedom he had, there were things he was starting to miss. So with plenty of reason to go and none to not, Hideo made his way to the address provided.

And it was pretty easy to find, with the loud music blaring.

Hideo entered the house, his Beheeyem by his side. Hideo was dressed in his usual attire: a warm sweater and shorts. His Beheeyem, meanwhile, wore a set of shades they'd gotten from chryssa glasgow 's Contest, a set the Pokemon had grown attached to.

It sounded like Hideo wasn't the first to arrive, but the line to greet Melody wasn't long. After andres buenaventura 's greeting, Hideo was next.

"Thanks for the invitation, Melody!" Hideo said, waving to her. "I, uh, didn't bring anything for people to eat or drink, but I'm ready for a party!"

He'd stay there for a moment, in case Melody (or anyone else) wanted to say anything to him, but after that, his Beheeyem would guide him towards the party area the boy was most interested in:

"andres buenaventura !" she said greeting him with a hug and following up his two kisses on the cheeks as was common in their custom. "How have you been? I've been alright, keeping busy with gym duties and albums, the typical!" she asked as it had been some time since she had seen him, ever since the soiree! Right before that giant blank spot! Melody then moved on to also greeting Hideo Kino and his escort for the night, his beheyeem. She petted him on the head to greet him "Yo little man! How are ya? That's alright! We got plenty so eat your fill till you burst! If you want soda or any stuff let me know cause a lot of the stuff here is liquor, if you know an Eris Halla she should be coming if you want some friends your age to hang out with." she asked before lowering herself down to his level and whispering in his ear "I also got a bunch of pokemon for you to play with if you want." she said as she thought that might be something he'd enjoy. "Thank you so much for coming! I really appreciate it! " as she then looked towards the bottle. The name sure sounded fancy as hell but melody's skull was so thick she didn't realize how expensive it was and just saw how nice it looked "Thank you so much! How did you know I love wine? You're a charmer. Help yourself to anything and let me know if you need something! I'll swing back around so we can talk I got to keep greeting the guest hehe." she said with a little smile as she handed the bottle off to her simipour who eagerly took the bottle to the kitchen for her. Last but certainly not least for the guests who have just arrived was mISS DAHLIA FUCKIN GOOOOOOODDDEEEE, AND HER STOUTLANDDDDDDD. A faint barking can be heard from within Melody's home as an eager Herdier can be seen barking at the glass as he wants to be let out. Melody sighed and rushed over to open the door to let him out as he bolted over to the stoutland that was accompanying dahlia goode . She rushes behind him as she meets with dahlia "Oh! Sorry about him, he's an energetic little brat! MAkSiIm COME HERE, CONO. Thank you for coming dahlia!" she said giving a hug as she was a total fan of Dahlia as she was thankful for dahlia completely changing her life. "Is there anything I can get for you? More people should be coming so we can start the real party!" she told her.

"Hideo!" Calling out with bright ruby eyes, the tension in her posture slowly dissipates as she goes straight for a hug. "You're here too!" Thankfully so, or she might not have known what to do if she was the only kid here. What if the adults started getting rowdy and weird again...

Actually, the question really shouldn't be what if. She knows a little better than that. With a smile, Eris gives Melody Miro a quick wave if she ever remembers to look back.

Hideo received a headpat, an all-too-familiar greeting. He wasn’t sure why people often went for that, but he wasn’t one to object; he could just comb his hair back to its usual “style” when he got a chance (would people notice it was ruffled? Maybe John Sullivan would notice someone invading his territory again.)

He smiled at the mention of plenty of food - and soda. But most of all, the mention of another guest arriving. “Yeah, I know her! Eris is a good friend of mine!” Though he did wonder how Melody Miro knew Eris Halla ; his immediate guess was she also took the gym challenge, or was planning to.

As to Melody’s other offer, Hideo perked up; he could recall she had a Cobalion from the Arceus Church debacle. He wouldn’t mind spending time meeting that one.

But sure enough, just as Melody promised, Hideo could hear a familiar voice among the unfamiliar ones. And that familiar voice is followed by a familiar hug. “Good to hear you too, Eris!” he said, hugging her back. “Now I know this is gonna be a good party!” He didn’t know if they would be the only kids here, but that wouldn’t be a problem; the two of them would be more than enough!

The food his Beheeyem pointed out to him could wait. For now. “It’s been going pretty well! I’ve gotten some badges - including Melody’s! The text sent to Kim’s work number was immediately intercepted and shoved into the holiday spam folder- a porygon sifting through the message before shifting it to Kim’s unreads for him to have his way with. Unfortunately for Melody, Kim had left the phone unattended- the prying eyes of a mischievous Hoopa being the first to spot it as Kim had his hands full with his own responsibilities.

'Delightfully Devilish Hoopa~' The mythic mused before hooping itself away- deleting the message that would have surely gone unread by Kim one way or another.

Arriving to the party, what would be standing at the door would not be the expected guests. Standing there instead were four pokemon stacked ontop of eachother in a trenchcoat to mimic the height of Kim himself- the pokemon appearing entirely too tall to even be close to their trainer’s height. At the top was Hoopa, a shoddy purple wig on its head draping over its horns and the heart sunglasses it had on its face. In the middle were two pokemon, a squirtle under the hoopa and an incredibly pudgy teddiursa under the squirtle. At the bottom stood a Tyrogue, this entire arrangement seen as little more than leg day in its eyes.

Ducking the doorway, the Hoopamalgamation lets itself in- mimicking Kim’s voice as it sends a telepathic message to those present in the room- it’s mouth not even moving with its words.

“Hello my fellows! It is me! Kim Essam!”

The totem bends and tilts wearily, the Hoopa doing the bare minimum to keep the others from moving too much yet still keeping them from falling over fully.

Hoopa thinks to itself.

Like a ghost that appeared when it's name was spoken, or like that pork you ate that gave you a stomach virus and cramps. Cobalion had appeared, behind Eris Halla and stared at Hideo Kino as well. His expression was still as neutral as ever as Melody giggled to herself as she used her connection with him to call him there. [break][break]

He stared at her as she kinda shrugged at him and used their connection to explain that she wants him to get to know the youth of hoenn! They were the future! [Break][break]

Melody looked over at her new guest, cobalion did too and stared a little longer than normal "KIM! you made it!" she said smiling at him as Cobalion's expression remained the same but only an eyebrow raised as he stared at the guest. But as long as he didn't hurt a pokemon, cobalion could care less. [break][break]

Cobalion continued to stare at both hideo and Eris, wondering what Melody wanted him to witness.
