LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

a nearby junkyard has been overrun with whirlipede. like old tire wheels, they rush around the field dangerously, leaving behind trails of poison. however, a careful maw may be able to retrieve them![break][break][break]

Whirlipede were an interesting pokemon conceptually. They rolled around like wheels. To think biology was even capable of something like that. Regardless, this was no place for them. They were leaving dangerous, poisonous trails behind them everywhere they went. It was time to take out the trash. Or, perhaps some other more poignant metaphor, since they were trying to get the Whirlipedes to leave the trash. Whatever.

Ruby simply hummed softly beneath her mask, attempting to keep herself from smelling the junkyard too much. Darling got to wor as soon as they left their Pokeball. The Indeedee's ability PSYCHIC SURGE spread psychic terrain across the junkyard. Quickly following it up, Darling began with EXPANDING FORCE, the intense psychic wave spreading across the junkyard began knocking the Whirlipedes back.

the poison from his maw wasn't as strong as the whirlipede's, but the coat is enough to make him resistant enough to the poisons the poison fang is in contact with.

the manectric picks up the whirlepede with his poison fang and drags it away from the junkyard. one at a time, they clear the place from the poisonous pokemon that litter the place with poison until everything was clear.

kyle's not aware of it at first, although he's surprised that his pokemon doesn't seem to mind the noxious toxins present in the trails of poison left by the whirlipede.

"Okay, listen. Hunker down just like this and wait. Trust me, it works every time."

Stormy reclines into a squat, fingers curled into claws as she sets her jaw and stares forward. It doesn't look anything like what her Flareon is doing, but she nods her affirmation anyway.

The scene ahead of them looks like a jungle-gym gone wrong. Poison pools like oil slicks all over the area. Tires are mistaken for Scolipede as other Pokemon jump to the chase. Some spit out rubber, but she's about to spit out a victory.

"Hold... hold...--NOW!"

Flareon leaps, a FIRE FANG warm between his teeth. Fangs sink into the hard shell of the Scolipede but he holds fast, pulling the Pokemon back out of it's spin. It splits open and squeals, writhing on it's back. It becomes an easy target for them to dispatch and remove.

"Good! Now just do that about a hundred more times."

[attr="class","spiral"] Although this predicament is no joking matter, Fernando can’t help but find the layout before him as anything more than a practical exercise. “Battle routine set.” Several Salamence swoop in from above, maintaining their distance, tracking the numerous Whirlipede. “Execute!” And, on command, they dive to snatch the bugs like fish out of water. Their THUNDER FANG allow them to bite into the Pokemon without too much trouble. It just takes a few jolts to render the Pokemon paralyzed, unable to put up further resistance.

the yellow clad arcanine growled at the whirlipede as it rolled towards it. "this thing ain't got anything on us, hit it where it hurts firepaw!" shouted kazimir from sidelines with an antidote in hand. the dog managed to jump out of the way of the bug's charge and as it stopped to turn around it felt the sting of an arcanine's psychic fangs dig into its hide as it was picked up and shook around like some kind of ragdoll toy for dogs. with all of his might firepaw threw him against the ground and quickly kicked it with his hind legs towards kazimir who simple sidestepped the oncoming bug. "whoa easy firepaw, ya gotta warn me about wanting to play fetch like that." the trainer smirked at his dog as he hurried over to apply the medicine to try and calm this wild bug down.

Moana found himself taking up an awful lot of odd jobs for the League recently.

Oh well. He had nothing against them. He just hadn't imagined himself becoming a Ranger, or a government servant, or anything of that sort. Anyways, he lived in Hoenn, and if making it better was something that would help people, he supposed he wasn't opposed.

Heh. That rhymed.

Anyways, these annoying wheel bugs were sprinting... well, no, rolling around at ridiculous speeds. What the hell? How did they not get vertigo with all the spinning they were doing? Rolling could not be an effective form of transportation for a living thing. Especially not at that speed.

Whatever the case was, he needed to get rid of these bugs. His Druddigon, Cova, accompanied him, newly caught from the Water Routes. At a yelled "Go!" from Moana, the dragon lunged forward and caught a Whirlipede between its powerful jaws with a Sheer Force-boosted Crunch. The bug squealed in the dragon's jaws, until it shook its head. The squealing stopped, and the frankly terrifying Druddigon roared its challenge at the other Whirlipedes.

Moana smiled. "Good shit." He was really liking having Cova on his side.

Billi searched and scoured the long and never ending junkyard. His Yamper exists beside him, loving the trash pile! Not that he could look away or anything, there was just so much to play with! But here they were to try and clean up the junk they threw around, and Billi found himself confused about why anyone cared about such junk piles, but hey it was fun bonding Time with his YAMPER BOI.

“Okay Aspear! Let’s get cleanin this-” he paused seeing the mrace track of Whilpeedes, or whatever one would call a gaggle of them. It was just best to avoid them for the time being seeing as Billi had only brought his most lovable Yamper. The sweet bubble butt pup jumped into the Piles as Billi moved from one pile of junk to the next. Then yamper went and FETCHED himself a cute little pokeball, that was more of a piece of junk than anything, but perhaps it contained a pokemon. Who would know! Either way. He did what he could, but without someone telling him what to do, it was kind of a lost cause.

The large hooded snake hisses loudly, fangs baring to reveal teeth cloaked in a chilling ice. With its naturally poisonous nature, the snake doesn't fear the poison the whirlpede's ooze, however a sharp command from the scientist nearby is enough to make it cautious. Icy cold teeth pinch into armored flesh, halting the bug in its place and plucking it from the ground with a heft of muscles and an ice fang. The arbok could be a bit gentler, as several of the removed and 'rescued' pokemon have pieces of their armor frozen and torn from clenching fangs, but, the job is done regardless
