Night time, Link's favorite part of the day. And to make things better now he would get to show of his magnificent abilities. With a draw on his feather Link used SPIRIT SHACKLE to hit the shadow of a Haunter that dared get to close to the patch. Link mostly just capturing them as he would allow the others to take them out and chase them away. The Decidueye smiled, this was gonna be a fun night of hunting.

The motherly Venusaur cared for the pumpkins as if they were her own brood. Vines gently caressed the large, orange squashes. Encouraging words were whispered to the smaller, runt-like vegetables. "Grow strong, little ones."

A gentle giant, Venusaur patrolled the pumpkin patches. As she tended to the pumpkins, singing them lullabies and telling bedtime stories, her fellow grass types were defending the field from whoever dared harm the precious little souls.

Even with everyone on high alert, though, there were some that slipped through the cracks. A group of kids moved quickly among the shadows. Laughter disrupted the quiet night as the biggest boy of the group was about to stomp on a pumpkin.

Karma, in the form of the Venusaur, took effect before the deed could even be done. The mama plant came barreling at the boys, propelled by the force of her grassy slide. It looked as if the large grass-poison type was going to smoosh the group but, at the very last second, she dug her vines into the ground to stop herself.

The leader of the group had fallen backward and, as karma would have it, the childish laughs were now directed at him. Fear had caused him to wet himself. Venusaur didn't know the significance of the liquid, but the kids sure did. The large boy ran off, crying, as the other children followed after like the evil imps they were.

While she felt bad about causing the small human to cry, the pumpkins were unharmed and she was grateful for that. Now.. which little one had she been telling a story to?

A band of ghosts slithered between crops, seeking to eat their fill of pumpkin while they were ripe. What they didn't realize was that on of the pokemon guarding these gourds protected gardens professionally. As the troupe found a delectable batch to eat, a flash of light would appear overhead.

The sudden heat of a Sunny Day would send shivers down their ectoplasm forms. The shock was too much, and the gang of would-be crop snatchers retreated back into the shadows. Obi the exeggutor stepped forward, basking in the rays of his illusionary sun. Those ghosts didn't know who they were fucking with.

After feasting on sunlight, Obi would have Moonlight overtake the sun. Soon all returned to normal, and Obi was once again surrounded by shadow. He had no need to fear though, he had plenty of confidence in his ability to protect these pumpkins.

frankly, the roserade knows he's above all this; he hasn't worked a day in his life and he's not about to start now. petulant, he sits atop of the fence lining the pumpkin patch, glowering at both the curious ghosts and his so-called "colleagues" alike.

if anyone did draw too close to him, they'd find themselves treading on TOXIC SPIKES while the roserade brandishes his thorny arms in a half-hearted display of aggression as the flowers shed from his bouquets in a PETAL BLIZZARD.

It was his first assignment after the living Sénon rescued him from the dark place. The world was full of color and light and warm things and Phantump would do anything his 'trainer' asked to keep experiencing them.

It toiled away in the day helping the others to reap the pumpkin harvest. Bulbasaur-friend would use his vines to turn the soil after gathering and applying the compost. They worked together to fill wagons with pumpkins big and little and it made Phantump happy to work alongside Bulbasaur and pull food from earth and ready earth to grow fruit again.

It made him happy to watch the other living humans take their pumpkins and smile at him.

When the moon hung in the sky like an all seeing Sénon called away Bulbasaur which made Phantump sad. He was supposed to protect the new pumpkins from trouble in the night and it made him afraid but he wasn't alone, Haunter was with him and she promised to keep him safe from ghosts if Phantump kept the pumpkins safe.

Phantump used FOREST'S CURSE; protecting the patch!

Haunter wasn't nice and warm like Bulbasaur but Phantump believed in her power, and so they stayed to protect to the patch with Sénon welcoming back into his arms with the rising sun.

This was the first time Sorrel has done anything like this before. And honestly, it was nice. The grass and dark type lingered in the patch, dark eyes flickered when she heard a distant human giggling near by. A frown formed along her mouth, concern crossed her expression. What were young human’s doing out so late? Her gaze flickered to the mostly clear night sky, the moon alright half way through the night. In hopes to convince the young humans to go home before they get hurt, the cacturne swiftly moved to the noise.

Upon arrival, she spotted one young boy and two young girl humans entering the patch. The boy and one of the girl humans laughed as the other girl seemed concern about entering the dark and spooky patch. She listened in the shadows, eyeing them as they moved deeper in. She listened to the human bicker by and forth, two of them wanting to stay and the other wanting to leave. But when the one girl tripped over a pumpkin and face planted the earth, the grass and dark type’s heart faced and rushed over to help the poor human girl. Her friends laughed at her as she got to her feet. “It’s not fun-“ Their faces filled with fear when Sorrel reached to them and revived herself. They screamed loudly in fear, stunning the pokemon as she stopped in her tracks and her expression twisted into panic. “IT’S GOING TO EAT UP! RUN!” The one of girls hollered as they scrambled to get their feet and dart out of the patch without a second look back.

Sorrel frowned, turning to check to see if the pumpkin was okay. It was. She just wanted to see if the human was okay. That’s it. She didn’t mean to scare them. Sorrow fulled her as she stood and turned to continue to roam the patch to protect it. Sorrel didn’t understand why humans were so scared of her. The cacturne made a few cooing and clicking noises, unable to speak due to her vocal cords being damaged at birth. A sigh escaped her, moving to go back to the area she was at to collect more pumpkins for harvest for the next day.

Leafeon lazes across a patch of pumpkins, paws tucked beneath her chin as she takes her lap. The wind occasionally lifts and tugs at her beautiful leafy ears and tail and she appears otherwise sound asleep. But she lies in wait, allowing the breeze to carry to her any sign of threats. If she was literally in and among the plants that were being pillaged, she could easily be the first to jump to action.[break][break]

And, unseen to the naked eye or to those too preoccupied to care, a curtain of MAGICAL LEAVES hover. Some linger among the fallen leaves, pointed and alert. The moment anyone steps too close they would be cut to ribbons with Leafeon's magical ability. She swishes her tail, resettling and letting out a soft sigh. It seemed that sleeping on the pumpkins was quite comfortable.[break][break]

Perhaps it was a perk of having SYNTHESIZED all day earlier. She was positively brimming with sun-kissed strength to help her wait out the long night ahead of her. [break][break]

This should be easy enough for Caelia to handle, right? Right?

For a Tsareena as capable as her, going around and looking over the strange… things that were growing out of the ground was something that could be done by a bunch of Grass-types. Of course there was the danger that there may be some skiving sneak thieves that might come in and do away with these…

They looked like Pumpkaboo. Only, instead of being alive they were… dead? Something?

She shook her head and prepared a Trop Kick, catching a would-be sneak thief right in the face as she rounded a corner and saw something was about to sink its claws into one of the not-Pumpkaboos that were growing around the area.

Strange, indeed.
