Regirock shattered spires of stone, sending stones and boulders out like shrapenl. He and the Mr. Rime would've stopped in their tracks, perhaps out of fear, or to anticipate the pathing. For a mercy he might've had that moment to clutch at a pokeball when the first stone aligned with their pathing came hurtling into the barrier, before the weight began to crush down on Mr. Rime and Adrian together.

Flashing out of its pokeball in the nick of time to be crushed alongside them, with only its telepathy to get an idea of the dangers they faced, Beheeyem could only attempt to push back in what ways it could; an EXPANDING FORCE built up from its defensively raised arms, forestalling the stone's inevitable fall perhaps long enough for at least Adrian to escape, if not them all...

assuming there were injuries, they would needs take time to RECOVER.

it is an ancient reenactment of the lottery. except there are no slips of paper pulled, no communal agreement unspoken. just the silent and overwhelming powerlessness one faces when contending with a force of nature— and the unearthing of hoenn's dangerous mysteries.

"protect yourselves! hold!" she manages to scream.

her mr. rime stops emitting its frosty mist. its large feet brace against the dry cave ground, crunching against pebble and dirt. again, it REFLECTS.

the screen it holds up glistens and solidifies further as the stones collide. standing before Adrian Malcolm and the stones, the mr. rime attempts the impossible.

dahlia recalls her mr. rime, the bolt of light cradling its battered body before whipping back. the ball thuds against her palm from the force of retrieval. as the temple groans, shaking dust and stone from its bones, dahlia pockets the warm pokeball as she stumbles.

"i don't think i can go any further," dahlia calls out to Adrian Malcolm. the more time passes, the more her arm aches. "how about you?"

she stares at the atlassian boulder. sitting a mere few inches away from them, it rests innocently as if unknowing of the damage it has caused to her pokemon and the beheeyem who worked alongside it.

dahlia holds her arm.

"stay safe either way." she says. tugging the protective scarf over her lips, the commissioner departs.

adrian feels beheeyem limp and withering in his arms, clutching it close as the light fades from its form. stygian eyes seeping with crimson tell him the creature will not long survive; once more he looks to revenge for its comforts.

he shakes his head, but it is not meant to answer dahlia. "i won't turn away now." you give up things chasing a dream. but the true loss would be to give up, having sacrificed for nothing in gain. now doom-driven, he demonstrates unwavering resolve despite the titan's demonstrations.

beheeyem is forfeit, but anything it has left, anything that can be squeezed out of it, is taken as adrian clutches onto it. after placing the fading pokemon upon the ground, he reaches for the pokeball of his starmie yet again. it is possibly the most qualified, but by sheer size and disposition, he wouldn't have been certain it was enough.

but then, that's why you kept aces up your sleeves. "delta, rev up!"

building velocity with its RAPID SPIN, delta seeks only to serve its purpose. like beheeyem, it dreams of stars beyond their own. it does not wish to die just yet, beneath this alien star; perhaps the loss of roger will inspire its success in battle.

the glint of a Z-CRYSTAL lights up along a band at adrian's wrist, held aloft as the starmie advanced upon the raving golem. "encompass this power with your next attack..." it takes off, its figure permeated by a deep cerulean glow...

like a deftly hurled ninja's shuriken, starmie takes flight before arriving beneath the stone giant. as it reaches the epicenter of the conflict, it erupts in a HYDRO VORTEX that unleashes the floodgates upon it; a torrential abyss swells and surges around the regirock, seeking to swallow it whole if it can, or to subjugate it elsehow.
