‘JUDGEMENT.’It was unclear which god had spoken to them this time, as Tapu Fini and Giratina rose up to deliver their respective wraths. The wind of Giratina's wings was enough to cause her to hold up an arm, and she found herself sliding back in the grass. The fire was sucked out of the vicinity, a strange coldness emanating from the smoking wreckage that gave her goosebumps as a darkness befell the area.
The sight of Tapu Fini, who was closer in proximity despite its ascent, froze her. She couldn’t look away, even despite the ghosts which became more active. Their moans shook her to her core, and she willed herself not to glance at a familiar face she knew was there. She simply couldn’t process it. Not now.
Lulu didn’t dare command her remaining pokemon, knowing full well it wouldn’t listen. She merely hoped its presence would do them
some good, with luck.
“Please don’t do it please don’t do it please don’t do it please don’t do it—”But the mantra going frantically under her breath fell on deaf ears. She felt herself momentarily lift off the ground as her Shadow Alakazam turned on her, as it typically did.
“Oh, give me a fucking break!” Her feet kicked a little beneath her, uselessly. However, when Zygarde’s
GRASS KNOTS reached up to ensare those pokemon desperately fighting against it, Lulu was unceremoniously dropped back to the earth. Alakazam turned fully, acting in its own interest as its hand instead came up to attempt to lift the legendary dog into the air with its
TELEKINESIS. Its chaos was too close for comfort.
Wincing, Lulu pushed herself halfway up off the ground again, just before the tropical storm commenced. She was reminded of
Cillian Quinn ’s Lugia and its storm on the island as her hair blew around her face, blood beginning to wash away as she choked on sharp gusts of glittering wind. Breathing a moment, she managed to notice a couple of things through the increasing downpour.
One: There were unfamiliar pokemon fighting on their side.
Two:
FERNANDO SILPH was standing across the field, facing them, in clear view—and for some reason she couldn’t place, she felt in her heart that he would not think twice about killing her. It was more than unnerving.
Adrenaline was succumbing to the numbness of shock. The threshold had well been passed, and then some. She willed herself again to her feet, remaining just ahead of the two men behind her, ready to defend them with her life.
“Re-retreat…” Lulu’s eyes flashed to her
Chu-e Choi .
Gardevoir. They needed Gardevoir, unless someone had something that could
TELEPORT (one that would reliably listen), and so far, it didn’t look that way. She looked back at the scene before her, feeling hopelessly stuck as the onslaught against them thickened.
Suddenly, the sky began to become even darker, if it was possible. All pink and daylight faded ominously, and Darkrai finally made his appearance once more, rising out of a swirling pool of black to enter into his new world of night. The shadows of those enemies close began to grow long across ground, before erecting themselves upright to take the form of horrors and deepest phobias. Its turn had come. The
KNIGHT OF TERROR would show the force of its anger. Not unlike Giratina, it also sought to teach a lesson.
After seizing back the field, the still wounded legendary soared upwards to meet Tapu Fini in the air and challenge it a second time. Perhaps it could hold the foes off long enough to distract it from its team, and give them a chance to escape. It hurled a
DARK PULSE in Tapu Fini’s direction before going back on the move through the air, further up into the sky, hoping it would follow—away from those on the ground. This fight was between the two of them, anyways.
Wide-eyed at this new level of power, Lulu stumbled back a step before springing to action. Taking a chance, she broke into a dead sprint in the opposite direction.
“BE RIGHT BACK.” she informed
Ezra Zeke as she passed by his ear, seeming to have switched back to frightened human since their previous interaction. As soon as the words left her lips, her body went to shadow and she took to the ground.
In moments, she would reach the body of her Gardevoir—and it was still alive.
TLDR: • Lulu is scared of Tapu Fini
• Alakazam uses
TELEKINESIS on Lulu, then drops her to instead direct it on Zygarde
• Darkrai reappears again to unleash its
z-move KNIGHT OF TERROR on those attacking team rocket in the vicinity
"no matter the time of day, a starless night falls over the battlefield. within an area, all shadows grow long, upright and contort, manifesting into the opponent's deepest fears, be they in the form of entities, or situational. targets who face these umbral fears are inflicted with PARALYSIS."
• Darkrai goes into the air to challenge Tapu Fini again, hurling a distracting
DARK PULSE at it to buy the three Rockets time to escape
• Lulu turns to shadow, rushes to retrieve her Gardevoir in hopes to teleport to safety upon her return to the party
