as a milotic he didn't really do well on land but that hadn't stopped his trainer from signing him up for this job. after all it looked good to have a gym leader's pokemon do some service work or whatever. all he really had to do was rain on some plane's parade or whatever.

"milo milo?"

he slithered closer to the plane, inspecting it and wondering if this was really the best way to get it clean. nah, just kidding. just like his owner jolly rancher literally didn't give a shit, especially when there were other pokemon here to rain all over it too.

"tic!"

he cried as he started a rain dance next to the plane, his body twisting in all sorts of weird ways as he was sure it was supposed to. he didn't know. he was there to look pretty, not do work.

the rain is the prelude to the WATER PULSE that follows. and again. and again. repeated pulses help scrape the dirt off, and for moments after, blastoise is satisfied with the result.

Swimcoach was having fun with this dance, even trying her best to encourage the workers at this airfield to join in. Even if she only had to do a Rain Dance to help clean off the planes, it didn’t mean she couldn’t have a bit of fun in the process. And it helped that she’d gotten a decent amount of practice from Hideo’s Oricorio, even managing to perfect a dance routine she liked.

Even as the rain began to pour and drench the area, she’d managed to attract a few younger recruits, who were struggling to match the intensity and passion of her dance. But tried they did, and much fun was had by the dancers and the people watching them.

Until they slipped on the rain. But that wasn’t the Seismitoad’s fault; they weren’t supposed to be goofing off on the job.

This was the first pokejob that she was sent to, but that didn't intimidate the slowking. The dirty plane approached prompted the slowking to step up. Paws would lift and lower as the slowking summoned rain clouds in the sky above them, shortly rain would pour down onto the dirty plane removing the dirt and grime which it had been covered in before.

You know those commercials with the super hot models eating a super greasy cheeseburger while wearing a bikini and very ineffectively scrubbing down a fancy car? Yeah, this definitely wasn't it. Curie the Goodra had been promised something akin to a cheeseburger herself— her favorite, poutine— but the workers at Macro Cosmos certainly did not need her atop their aircraft sliding about.

Having left a great mess of purple splotches, the dripping Goodra looked back on her handiwork with an understanding frown. Fine. She would do what they had asked her to do at the start, she supposed. Jiggling and wiggling about (RAIN DANCE), the dragon summoned rain clouds high above that quickly began to pelt the aircraft with water.

Purple splotches quickly melted away as she continued this dance, eyes glowing blue as she smiled. At the end of the day, helping people gave her the greatest happiness.

Dancing really isn't Sirena's preferred method to bring about chaos and destruction. Which is just as well since that is not what had been asked of her, much to her annoyance. It'd galled her when she'd come face to face with a dirty airplane - and been asked to clean it.

So Sirena's dance is really more of a half-hearted shuffle; in no way, shape or form competing with some of the other pokemon's exuberance.

Dark, rolling clouds still gather over the aircraft however, sufficiently ominous to bring about an equally ominous smile to the Lapras' face. Now if only she could get away with a teeny tiny Thunder... Or perhaps-

The first eerie notes of a song escape her mouth - and only a warning flash of silver has the Lapras halting her performance, tucking the rest of her melody behind a knowing gaze.

Okay so it had been some time since Kali had actually done something productive to society.

Hoping that she wasn’t going to literally toss herself at the first angry Pokémon she would spot, Lars had left her for the day with very specific instructions:

“Use your Rain Dance as they ask you to, and don’t hurt anyone!”

Well, she could definitely do the first half of the sentence but the second half—well that remained to be seen. Either way…

As the next aircraft came in, the Gyarados squinted down at all the humans with a look of… disdain. Well, it was better than outright disgust, so…

A singular roar shook the area as another ‘batch’ of storm clouds came circling over the dirty passenger craft and it began to pour in earnest.

Well, that’s the Rain Dance part done right? Right?!

Nothing beats the scent of mud and freshly falling rain! Given how close they live to the beach, rarely does Lily get the opportunity to use Rain Dance. So when she's offered that rare chance to go all out, she's dancing with her heart on her sleeves, singing along to the harmony of pattering raindrops as she splashes in the puddles being created. Not too far away, she can spy her trainer watching her under the cover of an umbrella but she can't quite understand what he means by the shaking of his head as he buries his face into his hands…
