"A tromBONE." Rowan answered, having heard this joke before when he was younger. With the 'riddle' of the skeleton satisfied, Rowan was free to enter the party.

He'd come dressed as a relic of the past, an Egyptian (or  whatever the Pokémon equivalent was) sphynx adorned in the appropriate golden accoutrement. There was more skin showing than he would have liked, but this was the first costume he'd managed to get on short notice.

An immediate movement was made towards the refreshment table, filling a cup to the brim of what he hoped was alcoholic punch. Rowan didn't know if Adrian Malcolm would be coming, so he'd need to be properly lubricated to mingle with the other members of Rocket, especially the ones he hadn't met. Couldn't have the Rocket Beast be depressed, he was supposed to be the life of the party, right?

Adrian enters the party dressed like he's straight from A Song of Ice & Fire, covered in leathers to keep himself from unintentionally giving others a brush with death. As he slips past the skeleton, which reminded him of the old Persian statues they said guarded some of their Kanto bases, only more hip, he spots Rowan dressed as some sort of Egyptian cat boy.

Bastet, maybe. At some point he would have to crack a joke about Rowan being a big pussy, but he'd save that for later maybe.

He's quick to descend on them, but not before grabbing a cup of punch. The fruity scent disguises the wretched burn of alcohol waiting to singe his throat. Slipping a gloved hand around their love handles before they could realize who it was padding up behind them, Adrian swiftly explains himself.

"Found a costume that wasn't completely scuffed, considering, y'know..."

The fact he was hurting people just by touching them

The party seems a lot like something you'd expect out of a bunch of high school or college students, which is exactly why he feels at ease, though he reminds himself he's deep in the bowels of a Rocket submarine.

"Hello...Bryan, right?" They'd only met once but the man had left a lasting impression upon Rowan by passing out during the middle of their battle in the Star Tournament. He didn't know that Bryan had been drunk, but that didn't surprise him considering.

"You really don't want me to answer that." Rowan chuckled into his cup, sipping some of the punch down, not realizing that someone was sneaking up behind him. Cheeks became rosy red as a hand snaked around his hips, marking their territory in front of one of his subordinates. "Hey, babe." His relationship with Adrian wasn't widely known among Rocket, but there wouldn't be much chance avoiding that now. "Bryan, this is Adrian. Adrian, Bryan." Rowan took a moment to introduce the two of them, not wanting the other man to feel like a third wheel.

"Jello shots make me gag," she says, as she crushes one in its tiny little container and raises it to her lips. It slips down her throat and she stifles a gag, wincing and exhaling with mild disgust and a shake of her head. It's potently orange-flavored and burns a bit going down.

"Wait.. is there a gummy in these? That's a gelatin crime."

But the eyeball between her teeth squishes anyway before she swallows. Out of the corner of her eye, she can see a woman clutching a bottle of tequila and mumbling to herself- or that's at least what it seems like. Maybe she's hearing things.

"I take it you aren't sharing. Bummer."

Adrian turns his attention to Bryan. Recognition hits him soon enough, and so he offers a two finger salute, tipping his metaphorical hat to their mutual acquaintance. "We've already met, actually."

It was an obscure memory, one that had been future proofed by the onset of his powers. He couldn't recall that night too clearly, but they'd talked again since they returned to Hoenn, he thinks it was from Kalos, but he's not too certain. Yveltal clears up the details, but he isn't listening.

"How've you been? You seem... well." His sincerity tapered off as his eyes detected an exhausted aura. It went beyond their toils in the name of Rocket, or laboring in one's favorite hobbies or such. It looked like they'd been spending time around something that was actively sapping their aura.

"...Either of you wanna bob for apples?"

of course, just to make matters worse, the first guest to their party would be her brother Rowan Wrynn in a shiny catboy getup. she averted her eyes, growing darker in the shadow as she uncorked the bottle in her hand.

then, bryan delarosa . at one point in time, she had considered him to be a bit much for punching john doe in the face at walsh’s birthday party. then, she had also punched john doe in the face, so maybe bryan was a man of good judgment after all. and good boobas.

Adrian Malcolm was there third, immediately with hands on catboy.

and then, a bum to her left. she looked up at Remi Cassel , wondering how she hadn’t noticed her there before.

the gall. all the booze in the punch; in the shots, that she’d had to make for this terrible idea of a party.

she took a swig. “should’ve brought your own then.”  but she handed it over nonetheless.

absolutely nothing wrong with the cha-cha slide.

”wrong answer. i’ll get you for that when you least expect it,” the skeleton warned KING WAYLAND . then, it synced up with a new song as it came on over the speakers, bobbing its skull enthusiastically, and taking a few steps around the floor. it spun sharply, bent at the knees, and began to twerk.

lulu caught it out of the corner of her eye, and then couldn’t look away. she hadn’t programmed this. so which asshole had?

She snorts out laughter and she's thankful that she hadn't taken a sip of anything beforehand. Burning alcohol coming back up through her nostrils was never a good look.

When she stops laughing, she realizes tht Lulu Flint has offered the bottle. That makes her laugh more - how drunk is she?

"I was only kidding. Keep that shit to yourself, girlfriend, tequila will fuck you up."

So she pushes the bottle back to her, offers a flirty wink, and downs another jello shot.
