After making the drop-off, the Santa-hat Delibird checked the sack he was lugging around—it was getting smaller and smaller, if going off by content.

The good thing was that there were only a few Pokéballs remaining inside it, so off towards the next person he could ~~bother~~ give a gift to!

Eventually, Moroz the Delibird found one of the blondes in the crowd—surely this young man wouldn’t mind being surprised by a small gift?

Reaching for the nearest article of clothing that he could grab, the Delibird then pulled several times to get Caprice’s attention, before presenting a Pokéball that had a sticker of a glittering piece of metal on it.

Meanwhile over where Alexei was—

There was something pulling at the hem of his scarf, and he looked down—wait, this wasn’t Moroz, so whose Delibird was this?

“Oh, for me?” he blinked, crouching down (with some difficulty) before taking the decorated Pokéball and finding a note—

And then he realized who the owner was, giving this Delibird a friendly wave before it went off to deliver more presents.

Locke waved off Alexei Ivanov and his Delibird as the other man left to deliver more gifts, not noticing their own pink chick disappear into the crowd with a tail-full of wrapped capsules.

”Appropriately-aged huh…” they mused, remembering the burning sensation of the one highball they’d had at the soiree. Still, they followed Martín del Mar to join the growing line around the concessions, intent on enjoying at least a little of everything the party had to offer.

Locke took a fresh mug of hot chocolate from luka chêne, exchanging it for brightly-colored Love Ball. ”Here, for you! You like pink Pokémon, right?” He glanced around for Eris Halla, but it seemed she’d gotten away from Luka as well. ”Did you see where Eris went, by the way? I have one for her too…”

A high-pitched bark sounded at his feet just then, bringing his attention to an unfamiliar Yamper carrying a Pokéball and a note with familiar handwriting. “Oh! Thank you,” he said, bending down to give the corgi a grateful pat on the head. ”You wouldn’t happen to know where Eris is now, would you?”

Next drop off done, another human to bring holiday cheer to!

The Santa-hat Delibird wandered around, catching sight of not one, but two other Delibirds who were also making the rounds—to be honest it was a miracle in and on itself that they weren’t getting confused on which human received which present!

Perhaps it was a Delibird-exclusive species thing?

Either way…

Moroz the Delibird continued to fight his way through the tangle of legs moving around, until he spotted another female that he hadn’t dropped a present off to yet.

Reaching for the closest article of clothing that he could grab, he pulled down several times until he had her attention, before reaching into the sack and handing her a Pokéball that had a little torch sticker on it.

Once the gift had been dropped off, on went the Delibird to continue the rounds of spreading holiday cheer!

It was Kringle-Kringle’s first time making deliveries. He instinctively knew how the process went, but picking out who to visit first was a lot harder than it seemed. The baby penguin eventually decicided to shadow the older Delibird in the room, settling on Alexei Ivanov’s first.

Because it had a hat.

And a BIG tail.

Which obviously made it super important.

Kringle-Kringle secretly watched Moroz go through the process of demanding Matilda Greenlaw’s attention before presenting her with her present, moving in as soon as the other Delibird was gone. He repeated the same motions of tugging at her clothes, then pulled a random Pokéball from his tail before slipping away again.

After Moroz had dropped off his gift, it was onto the last two he had to hand over in person—

Wait a second, was there someone following him? Turning around as he came to a stop somewhere on the floor that had no humans around, he spotted the shiny Delibird following him!

But instead of sending the young’in away, he decided to take matters in his own hands (for lack of a better term).

Cackling softly, he then squared his shoulders and began scouring the crowd, looking for the next person to drop the gift off with—ah, there they were.

Never mind if this person looked scowly, it was up to him to bring some holiday cheer! Although the approach would have to be done cautiously, considering the man looked rather grumpy.

Eventually he found his ~~target~~ next recipient, and with one singular, but well-meaning tug on the nearest piece of clothing he could reach, held out a Pokéball that had a shiny metallic sticker on its surface.

Once the gift was taken, it was off for another delivery!

Puffing her chest, she lets the man tuck the pokeball and note into her satchel, just beside the last gift that remains within.

Once that's done, Eyja bounds over to Melody Miro, barking and running circles around her to catch her attention. The final package she carries is a rather strange and clumsily coloured one, but the intentions behind it hopefully carry through.

Realistically, Locke could do the same as Martín del Mar and leave it at that, but he wanted to give this one in person. He immediately followed when the Yamper ran off in a new direction, but was disappointed to find she led him to one Melody Miro instead.

”Ah, oh well. I think I do have something for you though Ms. Miro...” Locke dug around for a gift for the pop star, but found their bag significantly lighter than it was before. ”Huh? Where’d it go?”

Meanwhile, Kringle-Kringle was having a blast ducking and rolling between guests as he tailed his target. Maybe he could be a spy instead of delivery bird. He wished there was some cool James Bond music playing instead of the same six Christmas jingles on loop.

But as the bright pink Pokémon peeked out from behind one couple’s legs, he found Moroz staring right at him! But how?! He was being so sneaky!

He watched warily as the other Delibird delivered his next gift, this time to a much more frightening-looking Felix Gallagher. Kringle-Kringle hesitated this time, not wanting to approach the intimidating figure.

So instead, he reached into his tail, picked out the first capsule he found, and chucked it at the target before scrambling in the opposite direction.

When Eris’ Yamper approaches Melody Miro, a Delibird follows close behind it, although this one has its gaze fixed on FERNANDO SILPH. Waddling towards the Silph Co. CEO, it stares up at him, squinting and bringing one of its flippers up to its beak as if really considering something. Then, it reaches into its sack and after a moment of rummaging around, it proudly offers him a pokéball chosen just for him.

Is it perhaps because the Delibird thinks it would suit the particular taste of the man or because Mars instructed it to do this?

The pokéballs given to each guest by the Delibird resemble a Premier Ball’s simple design, but where the accents would be red there is gold instead, and the button at their centre looks much like Meowth’s golden amulet. If they are to press it, unexpected gifts might await them…

A light buzzing in his pocket drew Barnaby's attention away for a moment. Oh? A text message from Martín del Mar ? He read it with a good-humored smirk and quickly typed out a response:

With that done, he returned to the task at hand. The party was now abuzz with scurrying Pokémon, including one of Barnaby's own. Delphine returned triumphant after having given her first gift. Moroz was pretty much almost done, considering the fact that there was only one Pokéball left in his sack as he rummaged around—and this particular one was going to be rather—tricky to track down considering the last person he had to make a delivery to moved around a lot.

Okay, how was he going to do this?

Eventually, he managed to find his way towards the last stop of the ‘journey’, and reached out for the closest article of clothing he could tug on.

This one required a bit more enthusiasm, and with some difficulty, he managed—even squawking a few times just to make sure he had the man’s attention!

One last Pokéball with a sticker of a small sickle blade was then handed off, before the Delibird gave this pleased-sounding snort and made his way back to Alexei.

Meanwhile, over where Alexei was—

Asides from Delibirds running around, there was a Yamper, and even a Delphox partaking in the festivities! So imagine his surprise when the Fire-type headed his way before dropping off another present—

“Are you sure this is for me?” he asked. He had to make sure.

Several very insistent gestures later, he then thanked the Fire-type and sent them on their way before finding the final ~~target~~ recipient of a gift tonight—none other than Mars himself.

After the pokéball is given to FERNANDO SILPH, the Delibird seems to have one for Melody Miro as well! It waves its flippers excitedly when looking up at Sootopolis’ gym leader, waddling in place as if it were… tap dancing? What is this, Happy Feet?

Once the immensely smug-looking Delibird with a Santa hat had managed to locate his human companion, Moroz literally skedaddled his way over and then reached up to yank (not tug, but literally yank) at the scarf tail that was hanging down.

“Wha—hey!” he yelped, before finally looking down to see his grumpy-looking Delibird leering up at him, all smug and pleased with himself.

“Oh. You got them all?” he asked, before getting a very affirmative nod.

“Thanks, Moroz, you can rest now,” and with a click of a button, the Delibird was recalled—and he caught the Santa hat before it fell to the floor.

Seeing as there was one last person he had yet to drop a present off to—this would be best delivered in person. Hobbling over towards where Mars was loitering, he chuckled.

“Fancy seeing you out here,” he remarked once he was close enough, reaching into the jacket pocket and pulling out the last Pokéball he was carrying.

The sticker on this one was obviously inspired by a certain Pokémon’s head ‘ornament’, so it was definitely no surprise what was in it.

“Another one for your horde. May I add, your incredibly generous donation to the Sanctuary has helped us out immensely,” he added.
