Maverick normally won’t be the type to do these types of things. But alas, here he was. He remained silent the entire time, keeping to himself and painting all the while. It was only when time was up when the burnt scarred man finally spoke up. “I tried to do a sunset thing,” he sighed, arms crossed over his chest and warm colored orbs rolled, “I’m not an artist.”

It's a mostly pleasant afternoon. The wind picks at his hair as it breezes past, the deft strokes of a paintbrush marking along the eggshell the vision of springtime. On a canvas of mint green, Adrian drags the brush to create an imitation of gnarled treebranches, which look like little cracks in the eggshell as if it were about to hatch.[break][break]

As he continues the wind picks up, and samaras begin dropping from the nearby trees as the natural cycle perpetuates itself. Dipping his brush in a muddled solution of water and leftover paint, he dunks the brush in a gentle pink pigment before resuming the artistry.[break][break]

As the final flowers are added, Adrian decides to add a finishing touch to honor the favored season of Shaymin, a sort of shepherd of springtime, and a friend.

by no means does greyson claim to be an artist, or even remotely talented in the arts at all. so, he paints what comes to mind. the result of which he believes to be the embodiment of spring, joy, and love.

at a dark new beginning, she had looked for light. it seemed to have appeared in the form of flowers. inspiration.

the technique of emptying the yolk without shattering the shell took some time to accomplish, but she was happy to throw herself into something new that did not involve murder or extortion. once finally successful, she handled the shell very delicately. it was painted with patient layers of blue and indigo; dyes crystallized with washes of sea salt; pigments sealed with nail polish.

next, were petals, constructed from clay she’d purchased from a craft store. they were painted lilac, and treated with very much glitter. it would be found in the apartment long after she was gone, by the later three consecutive tenants, as well as by the next thirty people who came into contact with her.

a small, battery-powered light was placed in the egg’s emptiness, powered on brightly with a cheap click.

she beamed. not bad.
