what else is more spooky than pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky's main villain? the dusknoir terrorized children worldwide, adding to its infamy which is why when it shows up at the hoenn bookstore, the kids are instantly spooked.[break][break]

floating through the bookstore, dusknoir carefully picks books out of the bookshelves, stacking them up before finally making its way over to the reading section.[break][break]

there, it stands next to the reader, handing them books full of scary short stories that are sure to give the children a fright.

Careful with it's selection of prey, the Gengar stalking various sections of the bookstore finds itself coercing individuals into checking out the occult section. By means of a mean look it deters the attention of adults and teenagers away from simple reads, urging them along into the occult section with it's menacing gaze.

By it's trainer's instruction the Gengar avoided scaring any kids. Though it lamented the fact. And that was evident by how it took out it's frustration by trying much harder to frighten those who could allegedly "handle it".

The first was an elderly man. He'd wanted something for his granddaughter. Delving into the occult surely wouldn't make a maniac of her, would it? His nervous glancing at the shadows cast by the bookshelves would be met by another set of eyes every time he picked up something the pokemon deemed boring or lame.

The next was a teenage boy who thought books about dragon pokemon were cool. Gengar's menacing gaze did well to change their mind, prompting the youth into the occult section where he landed on quite the find. A long list of early tales recording Hoenn's first interactions with type pokemon after the founding of Mt. Pyre as a burial site. Some of which covered it's kin, no doubt.

The last was a brave little girl who ventured into the occult section all on her own. The Gengar simply smiled and nodded as she picked one out. It's approval even seemed to encourage her enough to tell her friends, who came inside to look around for the ghost.

But it had already receded into the pitch black, allowing the others to frighten the children however they saw fit. It didn't have to be the Gengar's very own handiwork for it to relish in a good scare.

What was scarier than a gengar’s sinister grin? Surely, there was no other pokemon than the OG ghost pokemon that started it all. Any time someone thought of a ghost type, the genger line was the first to come to mind. Right? At least, that’s what Genesis was going for when she sent her oddly colored ghost and poison type to scare the piss out of people.[break][break]

The ghost type lingered in shadows of the book store, snickered out loud whenever someone got closer to the spooky section. This was fun for her, more than anyone could ever imagine. She turned herself invisible, eyeing a young adult female human who wondered into the scary stories. This was her chance to shine.[break][break]

The young female moved to a selection of books, looking over them thoughtfully before she pulled out one and began to read. The shiny genger let her snicker be here, moving to the bookshelf and letting another book fall to the ground with a thud. Large red eyes flickered to the female human, waiting for the scream. However, she didn’t. Instead, she flipped the page. Genger huffed.[break][break]

The creature wasn’t giving up. She got closer, pushing several more books off the shelf while snickered louder. Much louder than she should. Wide grin spread across her circular body, gaze flickered to see if this would set off the woman. But, a frown formed. She ignored it. Genger huffed, moving in closer as she started to turn the pages for the woman in hopes to scare her. Surely, this would work.[break][break]

“Thank you,” the woman mumbled, carelessly.[break][break]

Furious, genger revealed herself and yanked the book from her hands. The woman blinked at her, startled maybe. Snickering, she gave the woman a MEAN LOOK. Massive tongue out and all. At this moment, the human girl screamed her head off and ran out of the store without looking back. She snickered more.[break][break]

“Hey,” an attendant called out, “You’re suppose to give them a scare, not scare them away.”[break][break]

The shiny genger glared at the human. Slowly vanishing for sight. That’s what she did. She tried to easy way but that one was being stubborn. The ghost and poison type crossed her arms. Pfft. Humans.
