The insignia of the Blackthorn Dragoons gave Josh a heads up of whose Secret Base he had come across while riding his Draongair along Meteor Falls' main waterfall. The only other Dragoon that he knew who was roaming Hoenn was alec foster . And did his base have quite the elaborate setup. A wide cluster of MAGNET BOMBs haphazardly covered the entire base, panels of various colors coating the floor of three rooms. Furthermore, the ELECTRIC TERRAIN would require Josh to be on one of his electric steeds to avoid being shocked himself. Ultimately, he went with Raiden, a Zebstrika he felt he would have the most control over.

From atop the electric equine, he surveyed the array of colored tiles, the terrain masking the bombs and turning them invisible! Backing away, they were again visible from the higher ground. He began to notice a pattern between the colors of the panels and the positions of the explosives, not unlike a certain popular computer game from the before times.

Uncovering a teal tile near the center of one of the rooms was a big indicator that it would be a dead-end, what with it indicating six bombs in close proximity to one another. It was painstaking work, Raiden often having to walk backwards along the explosive-laden game grid, but he was able to reach the room containing the dragons' plush toys. Of course, it was the last room he searched, finding the fakes first! He had almost the entire puzzle solved, but the array of green tiles surrounding the last four covered ones was an indicator he would have to win a metaphorical coin flip. Not worth the pain, he simply claimed the flag from underneath the Dragonite plush in the corner and left the mystery unsolved.
