Syah grits her teeth, not letting the successful DYNAMIC PUNCH distract her from battle. Her large eyes watch the ape carefully, expecting retaliation but the beating drum only lands on their foot. It’s hard to stifle a giggle at the sight of a flailing Rillaboom.

The victory is short lived. Out of nowhere, a PSYCHIC aura blasts the Machamp back, sending her flying into the rocky wall of the cavern. The Mega Evolved pokemon fairs better against the super effective attack than she would have without the primal energy fueling her boundless mega evolution.

The machamp lunges forward, wide thunderous steps send her hurling towards the Gardevoir at full speed fueled by the vengeful, dark energy of a DARKEST LARIAT.

“Lead the way!” she encouraged Ollie, MYSTERIOUS ORE in hand to seal their escape if they make it to a rift in time. She trusted Syah would follow whens he was able to. Eva lined up behind Ollie and followed him as the FAIRY WIND blasted towards Elizabeth.

Backed into a corner and out of options that wouldn’t put Elisa in danger, Cyg grit her teeth.

This is a bad position. Stay conscious and we’ll bail.

Kanaya radioed the thought to Elisa just before the Darkest Lariat landed. A split second later and the cave became damp as Kanaya poured life dew into the air to make up for some of the damage. Though she was gravely injured, she picked herself neatly to her feet and dusted herself off, wincing only slightly.

“Boss lady?” Cyg asked, jerking her thumb in the direction of a side tunnel.

Syah successfully deters the Rockets from pursuing them. Her thundering steps echo through the cave as the siblings make their escape. Eva reaches back with the Machamp’s pokeball to return the pokemon safely to the sphere. Eva doesn't attempt to find their opponents in the smoke of the SCATTERBANG. Instead, she bounds forward past Ollie, pulling him through the closest rift and into ULTRA DEEP SEA.
