"What a bad bitch, what a fuckin' mean girl." [break][break]

She smirks, teasing the angry pokemon, only serving to make it even more upset. [break][break]

"Where you get your nails done? Gotta friend who'd looove to know. Ever heard of DESIREE BLOOMS?" [break][break]

Whether the pokemon knew of the singer or not, she sure wasn't about to tell Tsubaki. A snarl, and the violent fighting-type flung another punch her way, Manju catching it again. She glows with technicolor light, threatening to send a beam of energy into the pokemon's wrist before it pulls away. [break][break]

"Aww, c'mon! You gotta tell me your secrets!" [break][break]

She seems almost hurt at the thought. Then, she lets out a wicked laugh, reveling in the chaos of the middle of the fight. A pokemon that aims at the trainer... she positively loves it! [break][break]

There it was again; the mochi. It had some sort of strange effect on the Pokémon across all of Hoenn. It was causing all sorts of issues, but in particular, it was responsible for the Sneasel swarm that infested the Jagged Path. Their claws were covered in a purple goo that resembled the glossy finish of manicured nails from a high-end nail salon, adding to their menacing presence.

Like the locals tackling the outbreak, Roy wanted to take a shot at it himself. With a swift gesture of his hand, his dragon was commanded forward onto the horde. First, Balmung used Flare Blitz to break through the horde like a fiery missile. As the venomous Pokémon attempted to retaliate, the fire-type unleashed an Outrage that scattered another portion of the pack.

"Well done," Roy praised his charizard with a simple tone, admiring his charizard's battle prowess.

She’d just gotten her nails done![break][break]

Luka sighs as she inspects her index finger. The cute daisy design she’d gotten done is chipped and mangled now. How awful![break][break]

She has half a mind to glare over at the Sneasler, whose commotion had caused her to get distracted and damage the nail…but it’s not their fault, not really. She sighs again and takes a seat away from the fray, pulling out a file as she tries to at least save the nail shape.[break][break]

After a few minutes, however, one of the Sneasler approaches. She looks interested. Another joins her, and another, until Luka holds up the file and the first Sneasler nods. And so, quite bafflingly, Luka takes over the position of nail tech for an afternoon, polishing and shaping Sneasler claws and even applying some of the nail polish she keeps in her bag![break][break]

A full set of claws uses up the whole bottle, but it’s fine…the Sneasler seem happy, at least![break][break]

Cade's nose curls as if he'd just gotten a strong whiff of NAIL POLISH. The JAGGED PASS was riddled with MOCHI. He drops down to inspect one between his fingers. Though somewhat appetizing, he knows eating one could prove fatal.[break][break]

Nevertheless, he doesn't see the harm in taking a handful as a sort of souvenir. Perhaps he might even have a use for it in one of his assignments. But as soon as he's finished sealing some and placing them away within his pack, he looks up to find an army of glowing eyes glaring down at him from the ridge above.[break][break]

The SNEASLER didn't seem to appreciate his presence here. Only one dares to jump down and try to take his life, however. Thankfully, his CHARCADET is there trap it within the confines of a FIRE SPIN.[break][break]

Well, at least this outbreak wasn't wreaking havoc on the populace.

Yet.

Trey traced a finger over one of his freshly-painted black nails as he mulled the situation over, studying a Sneasler from behind a tree. It was perched on a rock, examining a piece of the foul mochi that'd been littered across the region. "Might as well intervene before things get carried away," he whispered to Devi, the Mudkip nodding sagely. Luckily, this was mostly wilderness; it meant things could get a little messy and it probably wouldn't have a lasting impact on anyone else, so long as nobody came and got involved directly. Atreyu pointed at the mochi between the pokemon's claws, and just as it was getting ready to pop it in its mouth, Devi shot a Water Pulse at it, effectively rocketing the poisonous sweet away and out of commission. It prevented ingestion, but it also gave their hiding spot away. Trey chuckled nervously and waved just as the Sneasler growled, sharpening its claws on the rock below.

"Okay, well, we did our part, right?" He'd fucked around, and now he wasn't so keen on finding out. Seizing his moment, Trey snatched up his Mudkip and made a run for it, the Sneasler right on their heels. It was a good thing he'd done track in school — it was the only thing keeping the two from being made into scratching posts.
