it's an unnerving sight to watch a mass outbreak of sneasler flood across jagged pass, frenzied by the mere presence of MOCHIS that have no place in this world. he's a fan of the regular mochi, too, but these are different.

"be careful, okay? the last thing we need is to get poisoned."

they'd been careful with the poisoned CRYSTABLOOMS in his garden. he has Yuina Higashi to thank for that as well. they'll have to show as much care if not more here.

She wasn't really the hiking sort, but her trainer had recommended a little fresh air, given her recent bouts of fatigue and nausea. Delilah hoped she wasn't coming down with some kind of flu, which would be terribly inconvenient for her production schedule.[break][break]
"Let's take a break here," she sighed, slumping onto a rock and tugging her backpack off one shoulder. Mitra floated over, blinking owlishly. Delilah rummaged around until she found a protein bar, breaking it and tossing half to the Musharna. It tasted a bit like peanut butter mixed with cardboard. She wrinkled her nose in displeasure.[break][break]
"What's that?" She wondered, noticing something on the ground not far from her rest spot. It was round and obnoxiously purple. Her first thought was candy? but no, it was far too - [break][break]
A creature burst out of the underbrush, snatching up the purple object in its greedy clawed paws, and immediately swallowing it. Delilah dropped the rest of her protein bar in surprise, scrambling to stand. It was a Sneasler, and now that it had eaten whatever that thing had been, it was turning its beady eyes on her. And it looked pissed.[break][break]
"Oh dear," she muttered, trying to back up a step. Pointing a manicured fingernail in the direction of the Sneasler, she motioned for Mitra to help. "Do something before it pounces on me!"[break][break]
The Musharna summoned a wave of HYPNOSIS, catching the Sneasler just as it dashed towards Delilah. It staggered, eyes blinking sleepily - just enough time for Delilah to fumble for a Pokeball.[break][break]

"Sneasler? Didn't know they were still around. This region is fucked to hell, I'll tell you what."

He wasn't here for Sneasler. He was here for a rare type of berry that flourished in these hard and uncaring passes of rock and stone. It was remarkably easy to chip a nail on the jagged stones that dotted the pass, but it would be worth it. The berries were excellent when shredded and used as a garnish.

Before he could get to the real prize, though, he needed to get past these Sneasler. He darted from rock to rock, hoping to sneak by. Preston was weary of fighting, and he certainly wasn't going to pick a fight over berries.

Totally.

Clatter. A rock rolled down the hill, alerting the Hisuian Pokémon. One looked at him and sneered, sharpening its nails.

"Shit." He turned to face his foe.

As much as he detested it, Mr. Roche found himself in the wilderness once again. One of his couriers had been significantly delayed, and now he knew why - a veritable outbreak of dangerous pokemon littered the Jagged Pass, making progression through the area virtually impossible without a significant detour.

He inspected his carefully-manicured nails as Lisette buzzed ominously ahead, directing a swarm of her minute Combee to sting one of the offending beasts in an ATTACK ORDER. Really, this was a waste of his time, and he could have sent anyone to verify the route, but as much as he loathed the...rurality of it all, he never passed up an opportunity to blow off steam.

He moved forward as Lisette engaged her next opponent, stepping deliberately on the fallen Sneasler as he did so. He only smiled a touch at the resulting crunch.

June swore she pulled out a different ball.

When she initially arrived to help 'clear the problem', she thought it'd be rather easy to just use something like Speaker, or Sweety. They were good at area attacks, and there were enough of the Sneaslers to warrant it. No polish off her nails, or whatever the fuck kids said these days. So, she had pulled out the first poke ball on her belt, either of those two, and threw it out.

But it was not a Noivern that appeared in front of her. Nor was it a Vaporeon. Instead, the sky turned dark, and the sun disappeared. Her eyes widened like saucers, and she tried to undo her mistake. "Fuck, no no no no--"

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Rock scattered everywhere, and Sneasler ran from the point of impact like insects when you lift their hiding rock. The massive behemoth of a Wailord sang its song as water poured out of its spout. The poisonous creatures were washed away with the tide, alongside the landscape and everything else.

Watts growled at the approaching Sneasler, catching Jack off guard. He had been intent on trying to collect as much mochi as possible for disposal but somehow the toxic chained pokemon had snuck up on them. Kneeling as he was, Jack could see the wicked gleam of the pokemon's claws as if it had gotten a thick clear-coat nail polish applied to its already wicked blades.[break][break]

"Time to go," he called to his Boltund as he chucked a pokeball at the Sneasler and began to retreat with his sack of toxic mochi.[break][break]

She arrived with her freshly manicured nails, there was a nearby spa sale that she just HAD to jump on and promote. It was a local business that was trying to start up so her helping them in this way would be great! Also extremely ironic considering the nearby swarm of sneaslers was occuring. [break][break]

Melody looked at the swarm, spotting the mochi on the floor again as she felt nauseous. "Urgh, let's just get these mons out of here and make sure the nearby people are safe." she says to her sensu oricorio as the pokemon and her dance in sync with one another with a revalation dance that flew out in all directions[break][break]

A sneasler was caught off guard and surprised by the attack and Melody takes to opportunity to try and catch it. [break][break]

Yikes.

Those… the Sneasel-adjacent Pokémon looked absolutely terrifying to say the least; what with their ~~Kalosian-tipped~~ ‘French-tipped’ long nails hanging from their sides; intent on eating the noxious purple… mochi.

Not the mochi again!

“Yikes, what is up with those mochi, anyway?” he would think out loud; not realizing he’d said that. He knew that the color alone was extremely dangerous, all things considered—the sinking feeling in his stomach never did go away whenever he would look at the mochi that would suddenly appear at the scenes of the crime across the region.

“Why.”

His Braviary would only squawk in confusion at his idiot human’s distress.

One of Jason's new favorite things about Hoenn was how rare Pokemon just seemed to crawl out of the woodwork. [break][break]

His catlike grin widened as he watched a pair of Sneaslers fight over a particularly large hunk of mochi, long claws slashing at each other as they dodged and ducked away from the other's blows. He idly considered them for a moment and glanced back down at his own nails, black with an iridescent glitter that sparkled just so when it caught the right angle of light. Their nails were fierce, sure, but he liked his own manicure better. [break][break]

One of them caught the other across the face with a vicious slash. While it's foe was dazed, the victor stooped down to snatch up the mochi and bolt. Jason himself seized the opportunity to strike while the iron was hot, [break][break]

“Xigbar, honey, it's your time to shine.” [break][break]

The little Deino at his side cried with bellicose glee as she lunged forward with a Dragon Rush, mouth open wide as though she were charging towards a delicious snack. Jason couldn't help but giggle at the sight of her; she was so dumb, but it made her kinda cute. He slipped a Poke Ball out from his pocket, waiting in the wings for his moment to strike.

Hideo grinned; he always loved the chance to tease his Lycanroc. He knew Rocky only tolerated a nail trimming - he'd never go for manicured nails.

The Sneaslers here, though? Seemed they were doing whatever they could to improve their nails - even trying to down some of the mochi lying around. "Well, enough joking around; guess we should do something about these Sneaslers, before they hurt someone."

His Lycanroc let out a grunt of affirmation, ready to jump into the fray.

Maybe Hideo could gather up some of the mochi for later...what he'd do with them later, he wasn't sure yet. But no harm in just holding onto the stuff, right?

Once again Johanna found herself in the midst of a mochi-related situation. This time a band of Sneaslers’ and Sneasels had surrounded her. Their long nails MANICURED with deadly intent. Was it the mochi or did they simply find her nail polish offensive?

Johanna didn’t know but they wanted a fight and she reluctantly gave them what they desired. Marshadow took point, charging into the fray and dealing with the amateur nail artists as best it could while keeping Johanna safe.

Somewhere along the line Johanna threw a Pokéball hoping to capture one of them or at the very least distract them enough to make Marshadow’s work easier.

It was nothing short of stunning to see so many of this particular specimen gathered in one area, though of course it was too dangerous to be allowed to continue. As with many others, Petra acted to dispel the threat - coming to fruition by the handiwork of her Ninetales and it's pscychic extrasensory capabilities.

Though she wanted to gather a sample then and there, handling the creature with so many around just wasn't an option - there was too much risk involved.

Likewise, she settles for lobbing a vacant pokeball towards the creature Petra feeled, with hopes that there might be something akin to a proper trainer-and-pokemon relationship that could be salvaged. Sadly, her Ninetales snorting at the creature with contempt didn't instill any confidence in that thought...

Robin watched the swarm through her binoculars. She didn't like to get too close to them because their behavior could be unpredictable when grouped up like this. She didn't want to be victim to a stampede, and she wasn't in a good position for manueverability. She tapped a painted nail against the binoculars as she counted the number of shiny Sneasler. She hadn't seen a Sneasler in the wild before, and all of a sudden there were dozens. "They kind of look like divas, eh?" She smiled as Sinistea chimed beside her.
