kasper wasn't a normal type trainer, but they think anyone could make that exception when it came to bunnies. or anyone would taste probably would, anyways, and it wasn't like a lopunny couldn't just kick the shit out of someone if they asked it to.

surely, silverio has started to learn much of this land outside of his borders. particularly, the many anomalies that shroud the horizon in a veil of mysteries. today, however, he is contending with no such thing. here, near the city where he's been stationed, he's essentially on cleanup duty; a mess of fur littering the grounds along the routes surrounding rustboro, as if someone had been out here hunting rabbits. alas, there were no carrots in the ranger's possession to lure them out with.[break][break]

instead, he relies on his lycanroc's sharp nose to sniff out the discarded furballs and track their scent. accompanying him also is a fiery stallion, in the event that the man would need a quick ride back to the city upon completion of his job. the creatures in question are notorious for their powerful legs, but simultaneously, silv's rapidash could kick equally hard if need be. thus, the hunt begins...!

"Whiskers, look!" Ana exclaims, dropping to her knees in the soft grass, her sketchbook tumbling from her grasp. With wide, excited eyes, she scoops up a small tuft of cream-colored fur, holding it aloft for her Espeon companion to inspect. "Isn't this the fur of a Lopunny or a Buneary? I read that they shed their coats when winter approaches! Oh my gosh, we have to find them—I've never seen one up close before!"

Rising to her full—if not terribly impressive—height, Ana can't help but imagine the sight of a wild Lopunny. Those long, graceful ears, the brilliant, silken fur, the strong legs!! She can already picture it, and her fingers itch to capture the moment on paper. But that thought is quickly replaced by another, far more adorable idea: make the hares her friends forever!!!

She looks down at the Espeon at her side. "You wanna get a bunny friend, Old Whiskers?"

Old Whiskers licks his lips. Ana decides to interpret this as exuberant glee at the mere thought.

"Yay! Let's go catch one!" she chirps, fording off into the grasslands with a pokeball in hand.

Hammy the Pawmo could only watch the situation in confusion, looking between Thea and the older Pokémon. "See? You are making Hammy upset, stop this... Cass, please, help me out!" Gominha shook her body defiantly, turning her back to Thea. Gominha was already the fluffiest, and was bunny-ish enough, why did Thea, out of all people, dared to think about catching another bunny? Today was colder than she would've anticipated. Then again, Hoenn always managed to subvert her expectations in one way or the other. It was honestly impressive how shit going wrong in this region managed to be normalized.

Eve wondered how her little Buneary would react to more of its kind. She thought back to how the little rabbit used to run around and play with others, though some were more cautious of her presence than others. She knew the Lopunny, in particular, would give her serious, dark looks, but she paid them no mind.

After all, she had her Dragonite if things got too interesting. As Eve relaxed, the rabbits began to calm down as well. One even dared to come closer, which made her smile. This should be a piece of cake. She waited, a Pokéball hidden in her sleeve, ready for any that tempted fate. Only time would tell if one would.
