Thankfully, the Gardevoir is used to hanging around people.[break][break]

She’d gotten a lot of practice around the people back at Fortree, so hopefully her calming presence would be able to help soothe the frazzled nerves of the humans that worked at the Sanctuary whenever there were alarming situations that would come by from time to time.[break][break]

This was no different from the previous situations she had witnessed. After being left to mind the younger Pokémon in the day care, the Gardevoir decided to settle down in a corner to observe everything that was going on.[break][break]

It didn’t take too long for her to notice that there were several young Pokémon fighting not too far from where she stood. There were two Ralts that were squabbling not too far from where she was standing guard. Sighing, she approached the two Ralts and swooped in to calm them down.[break][break]

Without a single word.[break][break]

The Gardevoir released a calming wave of energy to wash over the two squabbling Ralts, eventually managing to separate them temporarily… for now.[break][break]

The little ones were particularly feisty in this little pack of theirs, Bragi wondered where their humans or parents were. This seemed a terrible way to make them work together! Munchlax swallowed down anything that looked remotely like food, there was a Pidgey chirping for help as it's tailfeathers got snagged in a tree, and a gaggle of little Happiny were causing more trouble than help as they toddled around attempting to break up fights. [break][break]

In the midst of chaos, Bragi did the only thing she knew she could do. She played...music! [break][break]

Electricity crackled off her fingers and chest in a fascinating light show, at least for little ones, and the rising music that more than a little resembled an electric guitar boomed across the space. Even with the Toxicitry trying to tone it down, the electric music still attracted a small audience, mostly of electric-types. She grinned and hopped away as a Shinx tried to catch the electricity on its head, leading the daycare clients around like some modern Pied Piper, more a fellow child to play with than a caretaker. [break][break]

If anyone complained, well, they were just jealous of how much fun she was having!

While the other pokemon handled their packs in their own way, Sama the salazzle seemed content with her tykes running amok. She had very little interest in caring for these disgusting babies, ironic that she would be sent to do so as she loathed younger pokemon. The small ones in her care relished in the anarchy, causing all sorts of mischief and chaos while Sama tried to sharpen her claws. They had gotten so dull from overuse, she could barely slice bread let alone a pokemon.

At one point Sama noticed that something was staring at her. She looked down and found a salandit looking up at her happily. Sama scoffed and ignored it. Despite her decisively dismissive scoff, she could still feel its eyes upon her. She returned her gaze to let out a snarl, only to find that it had been joined by two other salandits. Sama looked around for help. What did they want from her? She was just minding her own business damn it.

And then came the hugs. All three gave her legs such warm embraces, it terrified her. For shit sake you'd think they thought she was their mother or something.

Oh god they think she's their mother. Sama did her best to try to pry them off but they were too wholesome and loving. It was official, she was in hell. Suddenly her attention was drawn by a piplup and a scraggy having a loud disagreement. Sama was about to give them a halfhearted chastising when the salandits jumped from her and ran to the duo, snarling and smacking their teeth. The two were scared stiff, and the argument abruptly ended. It was there that Sama got a sly idea.

[attr="class","spiral"] Many wonder how Fernando's pokemon behave without him. Those that are freshly captured aren't too different from wild pokemon. The ones closest to him range from a vast amount of personalities, not like any other normal pokemon, with a common tendency of being spoilt.

His Charizard is an exception and seems to be the most receptive of his main crew. Stormy had seen it when it rescued her but the moment Fernando demanded it, Charizard acted in his stead.

Today would be one of the days Charizard had the day to itself and it spent it tending to the many young-ins they had gathered. It's almost how surprising how many of them felt comfortable climbing onto the dragon while it stomped around, blowing out mild flames every so often. Like an improvisational dad that focused on fun more than anything else, Charizard put their enjoyment first.

babysitting wasn't a new concept for the obstagoon. the dark-type had been a favorite of his trainer within the recent months up to the point where it is trusted enough to keep an eye on the younger puppies on the household. unfortunately, the obstagoon gets no rest from such duties.

he swipes at the runaway zigzagoon and carries it in his arms when it tries to make a great escape from its pen. another tries to attempt doing the same thing, only to be stopped with a threatening growl from the overworked dark-type.

a sharp cry from a young pokemon starts to sound from far away the pen. the obstagoon turns to the direction of the sound, before whipping his head back to where the zigzagoon and its friends were. he points a claw at them, as if taunting them to dare opposing him, before turning around and rushing for the vagabond baby.

Wadjet handles the situation as she normally would. Stormy had recently taken in several young Charmander. Their teeth were sharp and their tempers sharper, and she had come to consider them her baby siblings. In time, she had learned how to organize them and command them with softness and understanding. Overtime, even Wadjet had learned to curb her hot-temper for the benefit of her companions.[break][break]

And now, the black Charizard acts in a similar, perhaps even a mirror image of the other Charizard with the group. Young Pokemon climb across her tail, up her back, and even across her wings. She seems otherwise unbothered by their clumsiness, able to rebalance and catch any that stumble and fall. [break][break]

She puffs smoke from her nostrils, but the noise she makes is akin to a coo - amusement and warmth the only emotion she knows to express. From time to time, she gazes upon the other Charizard, fascination and intrigue capturing her attention. Perhaps it's the uncanny smell and familiarity she gathers from the beast - he reminds her of Stormy somehow.

Darling was quite used to looking after young children, young pokemon were similar enough. Usually, when a young one acted out, it simply needed something. Whether that was food, sleep, or fun, it was rather easy to tell. Unlike other pokemon who might struggle to tell, all it took was a simple touch to her horns to understand what the baby Pokemon wanted. Their emotions were quite strong however, easily overwhelming if one didn't take the proper measures to prepare.

With a Calm Mind, it was easy enough to remain calm and cool, despite the baby pokemon running around and causing quite a right mess. It was a good thing there were plenty of others here to assist. Despite her skill, Darling doubted they'd be able to handle so many all at once.

Currently, she was sitting down amongst a small group that she had managed to tire out. Looks like it was nap time for the little tykes and she certainly wasn't going to complain. Her gentle, motherly hands would reach over to pat a few heads, brush their fur softly, even lifting up the small Togepi up into her arms to rock them back and forth. Sure, the rest of the area was quite noisy, but Darling always was quite glad for the calming presence she managed to have.

Hopefully, things kept rather calm throughout the rest of the day. Although, judging by the rambunctious group of playful dog Pokemon heading her way, she was expecting to be kept on her toes.
