this battle will likely not go in the direction Greyson Connors expects it to. the time that has passed between their previous encounter and now, though brief, has given matias some semblance of clarity.

clarity that his colleagues hate him, the league hates him, and that the RED SHARD in his pocket is likely his only bargaining chip when they eventually attempt to strip away his power. but those are worries for the future.

for now, the only thing he concerns himself with is how strained Greyson Connors's neck is going to be after this battle from having to look up just to meet matias' gaze.
