It does seem like an extrovert thing, and if Izzy had the time to really think about it he probably would be disgusted with the fact that he'd done something so un-Izzy-like, in his mind. In truth, general anxiety sometimes drove him to a point where he'd do anything so as to not rock the boat, and sometimes that meant doing things he didn't enjoy.[break][break]

"Jouyl." He repeats, with a polite nod. Izzy also watches the Sableye's little interaction with the wild Honedge - it's cute. For such a shy little thing, it sure was happy to hang out with other pokémon.[break][break]

Izzy puts his cold hands in his pockets, rocking on the balls of his feet a little. "I should probably head off, y'know?"

The question catches him off-guard a little bit, considering the way it's phrased. Is this a test? Is Mars expecting him to say no, to say that he'll put himself above his partners; or is he expecting Izzy to double down and stay strong in his beliefs? If he deliberated, he'd deliberate all day.[break][break]

"Ah... yeah, I guess I am. They basically work for me, right? I wanna make sure they wanna stick around"[break][break]

Izzy had always put himself very much last. He stuck around in a home that ignored him under the pressure of being judged for leaving, and when he finally did get things together and get out of there, he fell under Rocket's thumb as easy as anything. It wasn't surprising, then, that he'd gladly put his pokémon before himself.[break][break]

While Mars catches the Musharna - gravely ironic as it is - Izzy's attention turns to Myszko, who's currently chewing on the handle of a confused, lone Honedge. He gives the lizard a tired look of fine, you can keep him, and returns focus to Mars.[break][break]

"Right, yeah... sorry. Must be busy either way, though."

As Bee's lips trail a string of kisses across Izzy's jawline and across his neck, his fists ball, fingernails digging into his palm hard enough to try and fight off the stupid feelings he can't help but feel.[break][break]

His fellow grunt chides him, cooing like a lover in his ear, teasing him so cruelly that it becomes sweet like honey. He melts at the touch, and a frustrated whine slips from his lips. It was true, he had kept thinking about it. Constantly, like one of those things that's present so often you learn to shut it out as part of natural life, like breathing, or blinking.[break][break]

Glimpses of shirts stretched up to reveal a toned tummy in the changing rooms at the gym, the way Mars had lifted him onto the back of his horse with ridiculous ease. Izzy had come to terms with the fact that he was doomed to forever obsess over all of this dirtiness and never be able to act on it - he wasn't loveable in that way.[break][break]

Yet here was Barnaby, allowing him to act on it. Ordering him to, in fact. Had he not pulled Izzy so close and held him so tight, his legs might have given way in the heat of all that was happening. Barnaby expected obedience, and Izzy was all-too eager to obey.[break][break]

"...I... thought about... us." He squeaks out, like choking on the memories and dreams that always crept back into his head. "When we k.... kissed. On your couch. And you, uh... I could feel you, eh... y'know. Fucking hell, Bee-- can't you just..." He frowns, caught up in all this play only to get too frustrated and want to get right to business. One could only worry so much until you wanted the stress over, and fast.[break][break]

So he clears his throat, brow furrowed, and stares deep at Bee's eyes.[break][break]

"Kiss me."[break][break]

Said fast as lightning, in a rush just to get it out. Any longer and he would've swallowed it back down again, but it was short and sweet enough to spit the words at Barnaby's feet and wait to see if he'd pick them up, or continue to leave them hanging. The wait was unbearable, but delicious.

The air changes slightly, but enough to be noticeable almost immediately. A joke - 'stop teasing' - now hung in the air so heavy you could have reached out and grabbed it, much like Bee did now to Izzy's chin. He can't look away even if he'd wanted to, and he swallows hard as he's forced to look up at the taller man. That uncomfortably familiar beet-red covers Izzy's cheeks.[break][break]

"Bee, don't--" He forces out, quiet as a mouse. He doubted Barnaby even heard him, or if he had, he didn't pay attention.[break][break]

That smirk. Ugh. It drew Izzy back to a time long ago when his mother would talk about things like religion, things that Izzy never cared about and never listened to consciously. She would speak of the darkest temptations, how they came dressed in gold and silks and beautiful smiles. Izzy could feel himself drawn in by that damn smile. He breathes a shaky breath out as Bee's thumb traces his lips.[break][break]

He wants to taste me. I made him wait... It echoes around in his head white-hot like a gunshot, a heavy ball that rests in his stomach and below, distracting pressure that causes his hands to tremble a little. Barnaby's hand finds it's way to his side, a gentle caress, but also dangerously ungentle.[break][break]

"Bee that's-- you shouldn't..." He tries to shake his head but can't. "I..." He licks his dry lips, heart beating hard in his chest, eyes focused on anything he could see other than Bee's face. A moment goes past.[break][break]

"I kept... thinking about it..." Izzy says quietly, looking back up to meet Bee's gaze. "D-don't... make me ask for it" He cringes a little at just the idea, but it also serves only to make his body feel warmer, get more exhilarated, and think deeper about Barnaby's touch on his skin.[break][break]

His hand finds Barnaby's side, mirroring the taller man's pose, but his touch isn't delicate or teasing. It's a desperate grip, paired with begging eyes that say so many things that Izzy didn't have the nerve to verbalise himself.[break][break]

I need it. Please.

This really was moving fast. Between the horniness that had been his date with BARNABY FINCH, the chillness of his date with DEREK HOFFMAN, and then a date with a girl, Izzy felt he'd experienced all the highs and lows within a couple minutes of each other.[break][break]

When he sees Melody, he can't help but breathe a little sigh of relief. Someone's he's actually talked to before, thank fuck. He takes a seat and gives her a little nod, with Myszko around his shoulders like a designer shawl.[break][break]

"Business card, uh... that... huh, that would've been a good idea" He ponders for a moment, but the truth of the matter was that he really didn't intend to stay here as long as he had. Ceri had signed him up and he'd attended through the good old power of judgement and anxiety, but he really hadn't planned, like, a business card and stuff.[break][break]

He takes a napkin and writes his number on it, sliding it over the table towards Stormy. If anyone happened to have pointed out that it looked like he was giving her his number romantically, Izzy might have violently exploded, but considering it was about making money and fixing cars, his cheeks remained firmly un-blushed.[break][break]

The bell dings as the napkin bumps Stormy's fingers, and Izzy pushes the chair back and stands up.
"Uh- thanks for the offer, by the way. Every little helps, ya'know? Good luck on, er, dating and stuff. Have a good one"[break][break]

There's a polite nod, and he heads off. Maybe this time to actually find a dude! Wait, didn't he totally not want to be here? Eh. Might as well make the most of it.

At Barnaby's counter, Izzy rolls his eyes so hard it's practically audible. It was annoying and stupid, and just such a Barnaby thing to say. In reaction, he grumbles "I thought you said you'd stop teasing me", then looks down quickly to avoid any cheek reddening, his mind threatening to remember too much else of that night in Barnaby's apartment.[break][break]

The psychic types diligently bag up most of the rest of the garbage they see, and the place - slowly, surely - starts to look cleaner. Between the mess being put away and the surfaces being wiped down, it was looking better in here than it had in quite some time. It pulled a little smile across Izzy's face, too distracted to realise that Barnaby was, behind him, becoming evil.[break][break]

He turns at the feeling of another's presence only to find himself close enough to Barnaby to reach out and touch him, which was saying something for someone like Izzy, who preferred zero physical contact and a mile-wide bubble of personal space at all times. He looks up at him, frowning, and trying hard to fight off the heat that came with Barnaby's question.[break][break]

"Yeah? What?" It sounds so stroppy, a teenager being told off in school. Izzy was, in reality, terrified of coming across as too eager - it was way easier to end up getting hurt by the guy you think about kissing all the time if you actually acted like you thought about kissing him all the time. "I mean... uh- what? What's up?"

While her Charmander chews the table cloth, Izzy's own fire-type finds his way to the undersize of the table and watches the other lizard with interest. It didn't take long before Myszko was taking his own teeth to another part of the cloth.[break][break]

He shakes her hand, briefly but politely, then returns the hand to his pocket and takes a seat. "Just Izzy's fine. Nice to meet you, Stormy"[break][break]

When she asks about his job, a little lightbulb goes off in his head - that was right, not everyone here today was here for love (or company for the night). Plenty of people, in fact, were here to share business cards and all that kinda shit. It almost relaxed him to think maybe there hadn't been some mix-up after all.[break][break]

"Ah, right, yeah! I'm a mechanic - kinda small time, but usually cheaper than the big places, if that makes a difference." He taps a finger restlessly on the tableside. "Cars, bikes, that kinda stuff. So if your car ever explodes or anything, y'know, hit up Slateport, yeah?"
