“Uuuh… I sometimes play video games. Does that count as being good with electronics?” The girl meekly responded to the Rocket scientist, while staring at the destroyed mainframe with a puzzled expression.

“Maybe we could jump-start it with an Electric move?” The eccentric trainer suggested, going back to her original plan. Her suggestion was followed by another curious inquiry. “By the way, what kind of Megalopolan technology have we been able to use?”

The draconic cosplayer recognized a familiar face standing beside her: Noel Parker. She wondered if his search for Necrozma’s avatar had borne any fruit.

“What do you think they’re talking about in there?” The dragon-costumed girl mused, bending down and pressing her ear against the door in an attempt to listen in. A fake tail wiggled behind her hindquarters.

Silence. A few murmurs here and there. She suspected things would get a lot more heated once the councilman actually showed up.

There was no bitterness on Andrea’s part, only sadness. She was trying her darnedest to convince him, but he was so steadfast in his beliefs, it was like talking to a wall.

“That’s unfortunate…” The young PokéManiac sighed. “I don’t really wanna fight you, but I will if I have to. Same goes for everyone on Team Rocket.” She said resolutely.

“Oops, sorry.” Andrea let go of his hand, the realization hitting her seconds later. “Oh, you meant it metaphorically!” She was pretty sure she lacked the physical strength to literally twist someone’s arm.

At the mention of her Gym, the girl perked up. “Yeah, I’m a Minor Gym Leader. It’s kinda like being a Gym Leader, but with less strings attached.” Namely being less subservient to the League, but she dared not say that out loud. “Feel free to pop by my Gym in Fallarbor anytime! And don’t worry about your, uhh… faction. As long as you love Pokémon, you’re welcome to challenge me even if you’re a Rocket!”

Ogerpon returned Kouji’s smirk, as if sensing whatever was left of his fighting spirit buried deep, deep within the man’s heart.

“Just call her Pon.” Andrea politely corrected the Galarian noblewoman. “I didn’t know she was a movie buff either. There’s a lot I don’t know about her, actually… I think she likes this one because the protagonist is also an ogre.” The cosplayer surmised.

Speaking of ogres, the big reveal happened halfway through the movie’s runtime: Hatterene had been cursed to turn into a Grimmsnarl herself every night. What a twist!

Now Ogerpon was thoroughly invested. How would Grimmsnarl react upon finding out Hatterene’s secret? Would he continue to love her, or would he run away?

“I think the moral of the story is that true beauty’s on the inside.” Ogerpon’s caretaker mused, taking another sip of her warm, chocolatey beverage. “Hope you have a good semester, Elly! What kinds of books does Charles like?” She asked her fellow girlie.

The white-haired youth finally introduced himself proper, the girl following suit. “Nice to meet you, Kouji. My name’s Andrea.” Her Hydreigon-shaped glove clamped its ‘jaws’ around his hand, shaking it.

“Since our battle ended in a draw, how about we both keep this side?” The dragon maiden proposed with a smile, withdrawing her injured Hydreigon into its ball.

“Pon! Pon!”

A nearby cluster of Tera Crystals caught Ogerpon’s treasure-obsessed eye, the Oni pointing incessantly at it.

Ogerpon fidgeted nervously as the flamboyant youth appraised her, but it quickly became clear that his intent was not to judge her, but rather to compliment her fashion sense. The female Oni blushed.

“Poni~”

At the mention of accessories, and particularly masks, the ogress’ eyes shone like actual stars.

“Pon! Pon! Pon!”

Andrea clasped her hands together, smiling jovially. “That would be fantastic! Pon loves masks actually! Can you really make her one?” She asked the feline influencer, her own eyes sparkling with hope.

The Gouging Fire’s majestic headpiece was wreathed in ultra-hot flames, forming a protective Burning Bulwark that burned the opponent upon making contact.
