“My apologies, I was simply too formal with how I place my respect for Hoenn’s gym leaders.” The female royal gives a little apology to the brunette male. “Hideo then, it is a lot easier on my tongue.”[break][break]

Charles continues to do his part of destroying another effigy of a strange bipedal dog with a toxic chain. That was a reminder for the royal princess that she had been placed in a weak ward along with those who were considered to be weaklings.[break][break]

“Oh yes, my shard of Calyrex doesn't act much of the same as the Calyrex he broke off of. He's a little like a very young child.”[break][break]

It was the results of the non-traditional challenge at Hideo’s gym that she’ll tell to the League’s Calyrex at one point. The story that she did would be a good part to add to her ‘homework’ that the King assigned for her.[break][break]

“I’ve taken the time to train and prepare myself for when I’ll see the Dog again.” Elise recalls that the Dog, a member of the Lousy Three, was weak to Psychic moves and his strength was much stronger than any of her other Pokemon. “Yes, I do recall that the Dog didn’t fight fair when I fought against him at the prison. He was very resilient when he was being battered by other Pokemon used by other trainers.”

The ambassador rather missed being at her father’s estate in Rustboro since it was closer to what her home in Lilycove was. Apparently, Charles liked it too when the Calyrex shard had spent his days at the garden of flowers near the entrance of the lavish home. While her father was at work a little late than usual, she gets her knight to cook dinner for both her and Charles.[break][break]

It was around the evening that Chamomile, the shiny Polteageist butler, set down the silverware next to china plates and beverage glasses.[break][break]

When Elise’s shiny Polteageist is done, Chamomile is nice enough to pour her some tea into her glass while the Calyrex’s cup is instead filled with apple juice. Besides mead, it was also the prince’s favorite drink.[break][break]

In the meantime, the Galarian ambassador gets herself to the manor’s kitchen and she holds the Calyrex shard like a small son. “How is dinner coming along, love?” Elise is the type to check on what’s cooking too when she comes closer to the cooking that her beloved was doing.

The Calyrex floats ahead of his trainer when the shard would have more training to do after Elise’s bout with a Rocket and his Galarian Moltres. Elise knows that Charles can hold his own without having his form to change into. With war being a concern, she’ll have to take up arms in defending Rustboro City and making sure its inhabitants were safe.[break][break]

Elise and her legendary shard travel to the outer reaches of the forest. There were Pokemon there that her Calyrex can train with. She thinks he can try and help them too if they hurt from other Pokemon that made them wounded.

Project SAPPHIRE’s combat simulations were helpful after having to recover from her fights in Route 104’s roads that were near Rustboro. They had different Pokemon in those simulations though the technology created non-legendary Pokemon for the shard to fight against. A legendary Pokemon like Galarian Moltres in her last encounter with the disguised male Rocket made Elise realize that she really needed more training than she thought.[break][break]

Which was why Route 122’s trails would have wild Pokemon he can battle with too.[break][break]

“Oh, it is no issue. I do not mind accompanying newer recruits wherever they go.” The Galarian ambassador and Ranger Captain of Rustboro City speaks gently to the newer ranger when she'll walk along the trail up the mountain too. “Honestly after my last bouts to defend Route 104 from Rocket, I’d thought that my Pokemon needed more training. It’s so much better for Charles to fight a wild Pokemon himself than the combat simulations at Project SAPPHIRE’s headquarters.”[break][break]

The shard floats ahead of his trainer when he gives a little yawn. Elise thinks that the League’s Calyrex is more stronger than the shard copy, but it hasn’t stopped the hare king from wanting to get stronger like the real deal.

With both of their Pokemon being evenly matched, it would appear that the Rocket lady would leave it at a stalemate. Her shiny Noivern takes the brunt of Charles’ Psychic, but even the legendary shard was starting to get tired. It would appear that the ambassador had gotten respect from her battling capabilities when Elise had gotten much stronger since the last time too.[break][break]

“Until next time then. You really gave me quite a challenge.” She’ll acknowledge her greatest rival’s words when the Noivern takes off into the sky along with its rider. “I will definitely train a lot harder this time for our next bout.”[break][break]

Returning her Magearna inside her Heal Ball, only the Calyrex shard remained at the side of the Galarian ambassador. “You did good now, Charles.” She gives the hare king a gentle pet on the head which he returns the little affection he was shown with a rubbing like a cat Pokemon would do to a person they liked. [break][break]

“Let’s get you some dinner back at Rustboro City. I’m sure Cadeyrn Osmond cooked something nice for you at my father’s estate.”[break][break]

She chuckles a little at seeing the child-like Calyrex get excited to get his dinner while Elise watches the sky turn into a shade of orange. Elise knows how to get back without her horse and she probably didn’t want to make her beloved worry too.[break][break]

The ambassador makes her way back from Route 104 to Rustboro itself along with the shard of Calyrex following after her like a child would for his mother.

ASeeing an Oranguru come out from the other side of the graveyard makes the female Honedge side-eye at the psychic type. The ambassador isn’t interested in having her sword Pokemon fight with the simian Pokemon, so she’ll tell her Honedge to leave the Oranguru alone. In return, the wild Oranguru simply leaves the two of them be.[break][break]

And the Honedge continues to loop around one set of graves to find another opponent to battle.

Most people who probably had come face to face with Avatars and their patrons would never live to tell their story.[break][break]

In fact, Elise’s close encounter with that masked Rocket and his patron, the one that she had recognised as Galarian Moltres, had almost ended with her and her shard’s death. [break][break]

But strangely enough, the male Rocket had let her live. He thought that she wasn’t worth killing yet or that she would take whatever secrets her Calyrex shard had to her grave. [break][break]

It had been a couple of days since the ambassador was discharged from the Rustboro General Hospital over their treatment of leftover burns from the Galarian Moltres’ attack. While she slept in the hospital bed, the looming presence of the bird had given her nightmares. [break][break]

It was the very visage of the bird with its dark appearance and magenta flames that really terrified her to this day. She did not show it at all during their bout because the princess was supposed to be Galar’s ambassador. Showing fear would place despair on her people and it was not a luxury afforded to her royal position.[break][break]

Since the Galarian royal enters the office of paxton concordas , the director of Project SAPPHIRE, he had been busy too. The shard of Calyrex comes by her side, of course, because he was there to live and tell the tale of facing a legendary Pokemon like himself.[break][break]

“Good day, Director. I know you must be busy, but I must discuss something of great importance for Project SAPPHIRE's research.” She says when the royal ambassador sees the director at his office room from the doorway. “It concerns the Galarian Moltres. I wasn't strong enough to overcome it.”

Both Pokemon did a good job at teaming up together to fight the pink glowing Alcremie. Whatever the female Pokemon was, the ambassador had some information to go off based on how Paxton thought it wasn’t a Tera crowned Pokemon or an Illumina one. That one did seem pretty strong for a little cake-like Pokemon, maybe it was trying to protect its territory from would be invaders.[break][break]

“Yes, this was the golden Pokemon I’ve gotten reports of and it’s the only one that was attacking those who traveled at its territory.” She nods at Paxton’s question before he asks if those people were alright. “And those people are alright. I ended up treating their injuries at the general hospital some days ago.”[break][break]

Elise hopes that the League’s Calyrex would be happy with her efforts to use his shard. He probably did value the importance of helping people just as he would’ve done in the alternate ‘Galar’ in the dreamscape anyway.

The Shadow Chill is immediately negated by the Protective barrier that once again covers the Calyrex shard. The hare king will not fall, no matter if an opponent was strong against the High King himself. Elise’s eyes widen when the next Pokemon to come out is a Noivern, a Pokemon that she owned herself.[break][break]

Except this one was the shiny version. That was the Noivern that she remembers her cousin taking care of in the draciary.[break][break]

A Throat Chop by the Roaring Moon ends up hurting the horse that the ambassador is also forced to recall the Spectrier back once the spectral mare collapses to the ground. “You did good, Llamrei. Let another of my Pokemon take your place.”[break][break]

Audrey ends up lending a Helping Hand to the Calyrex shard before she opens up one of the flower-like hands to release a Fleur Cannon at the Roaring Moon. Pink eyes from the Magearna turn fierce, she isn’t going to play around either.[break][break]

When Charles gets invigorated by the Magearna’s Helping Hand, the strong Hurricane winds carry the Calyrex up into the air and between the trees. He’ll use the draft of air and while he hisses a little from the wind cutting his fur, the hare king throws in a Psychic blast at the shiny Noivern.[break][break]

“You’re right, pet names for my past boyfriend is a trivial matter compared to the battle we are having.” Still, there will be plenty of pet names that Elise has come up with for Cadeyrn Osmond now. The ambassador does make a little smile in the middle of getting a bit cocky. “But this battle’s important to get information for Project SAPPHIRE over my shard’s strengths and weaknesses.”

A Banette comes out from behind one of the graves that Elise looks at though the female ghost was trying to play around with both the human female and her Honedge. Jeanne isn’t impressed, the female sword Night Slashes the air to make sure that she will be keeping her royal protectorate safe. The eye on the hilt of the Honedge watches the Banette go off to find something else.[break][break]

And Jeanne keeps to her charge’s side while the ambassador makes sure another grave is dust-free.

And to hammer that point home, the Calyrex shard launches another Psychic blast at the Toxicroak. The blast was so strong that it knocks out the opposing frog Pokemon and the grunt sees no way that she’ll win that battle.[break][break]

Wyatt’s Scorbunny finishes the fight with a Bounce on the Salandit and the bunny Pokemon’s ability makes the female Pokemon take those Scratches. With the Salandit also being knocked out, the female grunt had no choice but to beg, just like the man wanted.[break][break]

“Please don’t hurt me!” The Rocket lady begs on the ground when she returns her two fainted Pokemon. “I swear I’ll leave you two alone!”[break][break]

Since this lady was a Rocket and probably begging for her to not be hurt badly, the ambassador sighs a little.[break][break]

“Then get out now before my shard changes his mind. He might give you another lesson.” Elise knows that the League’s Calyrex isn’t so forgiving when he snarls at the Rocket grunt. He tries to mimic how Elise wasn't very forgiving of Rockets too.[break][break]

This makes the female grunt run off in fear to the bushes of the road.[break][break]

“Are you okay?” She scoops up the Calyrex shard when he gives her a little nod. “Good, you did well.” Elise’s hand comes over to the bulbous head of the shard and strokes it with a pet.[break][break]

“Thank you, you really helped me a little with my confidence.” A smile came from the royal ambassador when she turns to Wyatt Rodgers . “I think we should go now. It’s dangerous like you’ve said.”[break][break]

The Mismagius helps to cover the ambassador when Elise goes ahead to the road to Rustboro City.
