Elise had some paperwork to finish at her Victorian home in Lilycove, so she drops off her Snivy in doing her part for a studio. The Snivy lives for the stage, she has requested the director for a major supporting role beside a woman dressed in clothes fitting those of a Southern Belle. The actress begins to coo over how cute the female Snivy is…even if Hortensia acts very prim and proper for a regal looking grass type starter.[break][break]

The Snivy had gotten influenced by the royal Galarian ambassador’s demeanor, but she’s naturally a royal Pokemon.[break][break]

On the stage, she struts behind the actress in a blue and white dress who’s dressed like a Unovan Southern Belle while the directors roll their cameras. The setting is an old western film and the Snivy is also dressed in a little green and white dress with a bonnet. Hortensia is not very sociable with the other Pokemon when she prefers to be alone…except the actress that played her ‘trainer’. [break][break]

With a wink, Hortensia captivates the audience with her natural royal charm and grace. She is the picture of royalty when she interacts with a royal, aloof air towards the other acting Pokemon. Because of her noble bearing, the audience is already enjoying her performance with the actress!

The sight of a man and his Pokemon who were holding down the Voltorb was oddly comforting. Damp waters made it so that the Voltorb won’t use Explosion or Self-Destruct to harm the other wild Pokemon when they’re covered by the man’s Mudkip. She now knew that was the reason that everything had been so peacefully quiet since the man’s group of Lycanroc were doing the same job too.[break][break]

It looked like the man or his Pokemon hadn’t noticed both the ambassador and her Pokemon yet.[break][break]

“I had my worries that they would be a threat to the people of Rustboro City.” She’d speak up to the man who is sitting on the rock while her Marshadow and shard of Calyrex keep watch over the Damp Voltorb. “And it looks like you have the job handled. I do worry that there may be more to deal with.”

Elise finds herself trudging through the mud while the Honchkrow flies overhead. She has seen swamps that had mud as deep as it would be on her ankles, but she is wanting to see the swarm of Mudkip and Swampert that made their home there. Patting off the mud of her slacks, the royal watches the Swampert and Mudkip play around with each other.[break][break]

When one of the water type starters come to see the ambassador and her Honchkrow, the bird swoops down to attack it with Night Slash. “You wanted to train, didn’t you?” Elise asks her Honchkrow when he nods slightly. She sighs a little. “I suppose I won’t mind if you do.”[break][break]

After the Honchkrow trains with the Swampert, Elise tosses a Dusk Ball towards the water type starter.[break][break]

Her answer of a Rocket woman being involved in it would be indeterminate without any names. That could narrow down the list of wanted suspects behind the disappearance. “While it is vague, that does help in narrowing it down a bit.” Elise is sure that if she looked at the wanted posters of known female Rockets, she might find something. Her thoughts turned to the way that the official League announcement spoke of Kyle being a martyr for his people, the Hoennians. He was beloved, someone who really kept his people safe from harm and made sure they were happy.[break][break]

“What Kyle did for his people, the Hoennians, was nothing more than a honorable death for a Top Champion. He had the Hoennian people’s safety to think about when he helped contain the threat.” And she’s reminded of the late Galarian King, her beloved uncle, in his sacrifice for his country and its people’s safety from the Dynamax Den that day. “I desire to do the same in protecting my people from monsters like Rocket. Their happiness and well-being are my responsibility as their princess.”[break][break]

While the shard is a blank slate, the ambassador knows that the real King of Bountiful Harvests at the League's Dyna Tree would think only for the people's safety.

A reply came from the blonde woman as she appears to be searching for someone too. Could it be the same person that Elise would be on the search for? Maybe the woman may have information to share on clues over the whereabouts of the former Top Champion. Any lead would be decent to work on while the ‘remains’ hadn’t been found yet.[break][break]

“I was looking around for the same person, yes. The former Top Champion, to be precise.” Elise replies with a small nod. With each passing day, she’s probably still thinking that Kyle could be out there somewhere. “Would you happen to have any leads?”[break][break]

Charles stays by her side while he looks up at the female blonde too. Maybe the shard Calyrex is a little curious to hear of what the woman had to say on Kyle’s disappearance.

She had been to Navy’s Elite Four chamber before, but not on an official Elite Four challenge. Navy had mostly been talking with her over some help on her leadership qualities. Now, the diplomat accepts Greyson’s invite to his chambers. Her shiny Polteageist butler in his uniform accompanies the visiting emissary of Galar when she’s able to see the garden Greyson tends to.[break][break]

“Greyson Connors , a pleasure.” A slight bow of her head comes as a polite gesture to the man. “I do not mind being called Ambassador if it would suit you.” Chamomile floats by her side while the small teapot ghost in pink china looks over the greenery of the man’s Elite Four chamber. He appears to be very impressed with how it's well cared for.

Knowing that search parties were spread out to look for the missing Top Champion of Hoenn, she goes to the one place that he could be last seen. The news of Kyle’s death really brought a lot of sorrow from the Elite Four, Hoenn’s gym leaders, and the Council. Even Josh Devlin appeared to be mourning when Elise had last talked with him, her boss really respected the guy.[break][break]

With the shard of Calyrex in tow, the Galarian royal walks down the Jagged Pass. She doesn’t know the full capabilities of how good the precognition powers of her shard legendary is compared to the real one. Searching for Kyle could be a bit hard if she didn’t find any clues on his disappearance. [break][break]

When a stranger passes by, she turns to look at the other person. Blonde locks were what the royal notices, but that stranger didn’t appear to take notice of Elise either.[break][break]

“Are you alone as well, madam?” Politeness comes from the royal Galarian ambassador when she speaks with the slightly taller woman. “Please pardon my interruption, I was very much on the search for someone who’s missing.”

While the diplomat is a bit indecisive over what other books to buy for reading to the shard legendary, the appearance of a familiar man who reached over to take a book from the shelf makes for a good surprise. Along with the Sprigatito that is on the man’s shoulder, her Comfey greets the little grass kitten. The reaction from the man over Elise’s Comfey would have her think that he’s a fan of the species too.[break][break]

“Oh yes, I am a fan of Comfey.” A smile came onto the royal ambassador's face when she replies to his question. “I heard that they were used in hospitals, so…I’d done my research and wanted to use one for my medical training when I’m off from having to do my full time job.” [break][break]

At least, Comfey were used a lot in treating the wounded than the other healer Pokemon, but she liked having her shiny Indeedee around to heal people too.

He brings up the small paper-like Pokemon that attacked the wild Brambleghast and since he was interested, Elise responds to his inquiry. “This Pokemon is my Kartana and she is a little hard to find, but Charles and I ended up rescuing Yamato when she was hurt by poachers.” Though the female diplomat was the one that treated Yamato Takeru’s wounds, she had the healing prowess of the shard of Calyrex to thank for that. [break][break]

Speaking of which… The High King of Bountiful Harvests floats over after he had been investigating one of the graves and checks over the smaller Ultra Beast. “I am sure that she’s fine, Charles.” Elise’s words over to the legendary shard made the hare king stop checking on the Ultra Beast though he still remains by the Kartana’s side.[break][break]

Turning towards the dark-haired man, the Galarian Ambassador introduces her name in return. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Derek. My name is Elise Calcifet.” Royal grace shows through the ambassador's introduction through years of being raised on the royal court's etiquette.

There was part of her that worried about the Wingull and Pelipper that were squawking and fleeing the storm. Knowing that the Sea Basin Pokemon would likely make things worse for those Pokemon, she gets the warning from Lars that the ocean beast is incoming. Distressed sounds came from the Wailmer that were also escaping from the turbulent waters below.[break][break]

“Alright! I’ll leave dealing with the fish to you!” The ambassador calls out to the Elite Ranger and directs her Noivern down towards the scared Wailmer along with Mari the Froslass coming towards them. “Help lead them away too, Mari.” Elise asks the icy ghost as her Froslass comes over to talk them down calmly.[break][break]

Coming down to the Wailmer herself, she spoke to the group of Wailmer that were flailing in distress. “Don’t worry! I will help lead you to safety!” Luckily, the Wailmer listen to her and the wild whale Pokemon start following the ambassador and her Noivern from the sea while the female bat dragon flies through the air.

She’s sure that she wants to find out what happens. Not because she will heed his warning of desiring in being an Avatar to a legendary, but Elise was very worried for those who had attained that blessing. A serious look comes onto the face of the Elite Ranger when his next words almost cause her heart to stop.[break][break]

“They die.”[break][break]

Her worse fears come to mind when she thinks of her cousin, Remiel Calcifet . He was the one who taught her everything he knew in Galarian politics and to see his patron firsthand… The Galarian princess can’t help but wonder if Remiel knew he could die from being overwhelmed by his power.[break][break]

“That is…a horrific way to die.” She doesn’t hide the shock and fear of hearing those two words. “I always thought…that if I die, it would be for the sake of Galar and her people. It is not a meaningful death for an ambassador who invested so much into her country’s welfare.”[break][break]

There was also the bounty that Remiel had on his head from Team Rocket. He was capable of dealing with them, but how long would he last?

In a way, the constant contact with a legendary Pokemon really would be the curse that Avatars would have. She takes the words of the Elite Ranger with some thought over what she wanted to do. That thought of what Elise wanted with the Calyrex at Ever Grande’s Dyna Tree. Recalling the words of the real Calyrex and out of all of the people that met with him that day…[break][break]

She was the only person that he saw a potential in her because of her desire. The desire to become a good princess for her people and to help her country and its people. [break][break]

Elise doesn’t express frustration that he didn’t actually pick her to be his patron yet, but rather, the Galarian Ambassador sees it as a way to improve herself.[break][break]

To fulfill the Calyrex’s desire of seeing what she can do with her leadership qualities and handling conflicts with them, she will do it.[break][break]

“Or what?” She asks with a small look of concern when Lars trails off at the second part of people getting overwhelmed by the power that Avatars possessed of their patrons. “What happens if they get overwhelmed by their powers other than being left behind by their patrons?"

With a warning, the strong gust of wind blows past the ambassador in her dark blue uniform and the fur of her Noivern. She takes a smell of the scent and that smell…was similar to wet pavement. “Yes, I smelled it too.” Elise affirms to her superior when she sees a section of the ocean having an odd sunny appearance compared to the blue she’s used to.[break][break]

They had found the big fish, the big blue Pokemon that many of the other rangers had seen. [break][break]

When her Noivern moves closer to that spot, Elise would prepare for that fight. Letting go of the reins with one left hand, she presses the button on her Froslass’ Dusk Ball. Mari is called forth as the floating ice ghost accompanies the flying ranger cadet into the stronger scent around the ‘sunny’ area.

Elise knows that Lars was looking out for her when he had spoken about his experiences with legendary Pokemon. Maybe there was that nagging feeling that told her Lars was right in talking her down from wanting to pursue being an avatar to the High King. She wanted to know how he knew much of the experience when she hasn’t seen whatever legendary he had contact with. [break][break]

“I know what I’m doing now that you’ve told me. It’s not a very easy ride.” She replies after seeing that Remiel and his patron worked together. “Charles hasn’t been verbal with me, no. If you were thinking of him exhibiting the same kind of power that the real Calyrex has in speaking with people.”[break][break]

She remembered the way that the Calyrex mind controlled people in speaking for him. Elise hasn’t gotten used to that, it was a very odd way for him to do it, but…he was at low power at that time.
